A Football Association tribunal has given Sir Alex Ferguson a five-match touchline ban for his comments about referee Martin Atkinson.

The FA are a joke anyway, they still haven't punished Dave Whelan over his rant and he accused them of being bias!
Fergie will still get to see the players at HT, he should just stop doing interviews all together because it seems having an opinion now on referees gets managers punished..

Chicarito is awesome!!, no doubt Madrid will be after him but Chico seems committed to the United cause and seems a really nice guy in RL judging by interviews and what some people have said on the net about meeting him etc..
Locke.
16-03-2011, 07:36 PM
Hernandez is my favourite Utd player but I think Suarez proved when they both played in the same game that he is the better player.
Hernadez = Top of the league
Suarez = Outside top 5
Locke.
16-03-2011, 07:38 PM
Suarez = World Cup semi-finalist
Suarez = No medal at the World cup
Saurez = 1 goal in 4 games for Liverpool
Hernandez = 16 goals in 33 games for United
Locke.
16-03-2011, 07:43 PM
Suarez = On the winning team both times they have played against each other, the 1-0 win in the world cup (where he scored the winner) and the 3-1 against Utd (where he ripped the Utd team apart multiple times).
No discussion about it really, Suarez is obviously the better player. A bit like how Scott Brown is better than Edu
Scott Brown - 1 league title
Edu - 2 League titles
Hernandez is going to win the EPL and Champions league before Saurez and he is younger.
http://i56.tinypic.com/2lt3cpi.jpg
Well done on playing for the better team Hernandez

It's an utter shame that a club of Liverpools size has been reduced to those two utter donkeys playing up front for them that finished the match tonight. A real shame, don't think I would have imagined that even a couple of seasons ago. At least they have Suarez, who is a class act but he needs a decent partner signed in the summer.
I'm not sure what next season holds for them, if I am honest.

ARSENAL keeper Wojciech Szczesny has given a damning verdict on his team-mates.
The Arsenal star reckons he would rather play behind 48-year-old youth team coach Steve Bould than any of the club’s current centre-halves.
He also branded striker Nicklas Bendtner “arrogant” and claims fellow goalkeeper Jens Lehmann “a nutcase"
The keeper believes he will be back in action from a finger injury to face Manchester United in a potential title decider on May 1.
But he gave a cutting assessment of the current squad when he was quizzed by fans at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday ahead of a live screening of Arsenal’s 2-2 draw at West Brom.
Asked which centre-half at the club he prefers to play behind, the Pole named Steve Bould, who retired 11 years ago due to arthritis.
Once the laughter had stopped Szczesny, 20, added: “and maybe Tony Adams.”
Asked by another supporter who was more confident, him or Bendtner, Szczesny said: “I am confident, he is arrogant.”
Szczesny’s straight-faced comments came before Manuel Almunia dropped Arsenal’s latest costly defensive gaffe to gift West Brom a two-goal lead.
Lehmann rejoined the club last week and boss Arsene Wenger is now weighing up whether to throw the German into the title race at the age of 41.
Asked if Lehmann had changed from his first spell at the club, Szczesny said: “I was very young the first time he was at the club but he is still a nutcase!”
Gunners midfielder Jack Wilshere believes Arsenal still have the heart to catch United in the title race, saying: “We still believe we can win it. We’ve got nine games left. We have to really go for it.”
Lol this guy, though djourou and vermaelen are both good.

Skysports.com understands Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has identified Birmingham defender Scott Dann as one of his top summer transfer targets.
Dalglish is keen to reshape the Reds squad for next season and he sees Dann as a key addition to his long-term plans.
Dann has established himself as one of the best young defenders in the Premier League during his time at Birmingham.
A number of clubs, including Manchester United, are believed to be monitoring his situation at St Andrews but Dalglish is keen to win the race for the Liverpool-born stopper.
However, any move could prove difficult with newly installed director of football Damien Comolli being involved in all transfer dealings at Anfield.
It is believed Comolli is looking to pursue other targets ahead of Dann even though Dalglish sees the former Coventry man as the type of young, hungry and Premier League proven player he wants to bring into his side for next season

Liverpool’s Paul Konchesky, currently on loan at Nottingham Forest, is set for a £1.5M return to Fulham in June.
The loan deal at Premiership-chasing Nottingham Forest expires on the 31st May, meaning that if Forest do qualify for the play-offs, Konchesky will be unavailable for their final push for the Premier League.
Konchesky cost the reds £3M plus two promising youngsters Lauri Dalla-Valle and Alex Kakaniklic, when Roy Hodgson brought him to Anfield.
Paul was almost immediately shipped out of the club following Kenny’s appointment and Damien Comolli is tasked with finding a replacement as one of his top summer priorities. Liverpool’s left back slot is arguably the weakest area in the team, with only one recognised left back at Melwood – the injury prone Fabio Aurelio. Newcastle’s Jose Enrique is considered the most likely target for Liverpool, having proven experience in the Premier League, and topping a fans poll at St James Park for last years Player of the Season, ahead of the £35M Andy Carroll.
Martin Kelly, Glen Johnson, Daniel Agger and Danny Wilson have all attempted to fill Aurelio’s injury filled void following Konchesky’s loan, but for each of them it is not their preferred position.
Liverpool will look upon the £1.5M sale as good business – given that Hodgson had handed the player, who turns 30 in May, a lucrative 4 year contract.

Manchester City are investigating reports that troublesome Italian striker Mario Balotelli threw a dart at youth-team players, according to a report by British daily The Independent on Monday.
Balotelli is alleged to have thrown "at least one dart" at members of City's youth squad at the club's Carrington training centre, but his intended targets are reported to have escaped unhurt.
Balotelli said in The People that he threw the darts in the direction of youth players because he was "bored". Nobody was hurt during the incident and ESPNsoccernet has been informed that the club view the incident as a misguided prank rather than a serious transgression.

Atletico Madrid reject €20 million Man United bid for De Gea
today at 4:52 am
Atletico Madrid have rejected a €20 million bid from Manchester United for highly rated goalkeeper David de Gea, according to The Times.
United have been strongly linked with de Gea for some time as they step up their bid to replace Dutch goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, who has announced that he will be retiring in the summer.
Sir Alex Ferguson is thought to be keen to tie up the deal as soon as possible so that Van der Sar’s replacement can have a full pre-season, which will help them to settle in at Old Trafford.
Spanish under-21 international De Gea is under contract with Atletico until 2013, strengthening their position when it comes to negotiating the price for the sought after shotstopper.
Whether United will be prepared shell out over €20 million remains to be seen, as they have also been linked with Schalke and Germany ‘keeper Manuel Neuer and Dutch netminder Martin Stekelenburg amongst others

Lukaku is class :worship: I didn't expect £26m though, that's a huge amount for such a young player, without having really proven himself against the big European teams.
Out of Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham though I think he'd be best at Tottenham, a player with his talent and as young as he is needs a lot of playing time and he definitely won't get that within a season or two at Chelsea if they get Neymar, possibly Liverpool, but I'm sure he'd be a key part of Tottenham's squad if he plays well in his first couple of matches.
