I just struggle with the concept of the second hunger games :joker:. Like there's the hunger games themselves, sort of makes sense. I mean not REALLY but you can suspend disbelief and get on board with the concept. And then part three (in terms of books) it makes sense that it moves on to the overall uprising, outside of the games. But for the second one it's like "Yes you're supposed to only do one hunger games and then you get to be famous and safe forever but... NO! We also have the EVEN HUNGRIER games muahahaha". I mean story wise they could literally have skipped from the first Hunger Games to the rebellion in the third and it would be exactly the same .
Well it made some sort of sense because A - it was the 75th Hunger Games and they do something a bit different for every 25 year marker and B it was because they knew an uprising was brewing that they wanted katniss and the trouble makers back in there to make an example of them/kill them and stop the rebellion from starting

Well yeah, the second part of that is true, they (the fictional bad guys and ALSO the author of the story) wanted the heroes back in a Hunger Games environment for the second book... but it would take a lot of convincing for me to believe that the "Quarter-Quell" was part of the writer's original concept of the Games, and not a pretty convenient Deus Ex Machina invented later in order to over-ride the whole "if you're picked and win then you're safe" rule... especially as that rule was made quite clear in the initial description of how it all worked. They would have had to at least mention the Quarter Quell in the first book if it was an established part of the lore... especially if that was meant to be "year 24". They would all have been talking about it, surely . And that's sort of what I'm talking about I guess: new aspects of the "story world" suddenly cropping up later in the story, where you can't go back and say "oooh yeah, this was hinted at earlier!". That's what makes it feel "cardboard-cutout-like". The world shifting to fit the story, rather than the world simply existing for stories to take place in.
In fact the MOST awesome ones are when you think something has been done like that at first, and then you go back and re-read / re-watch earlier stuff and realise that hints were being dropped the whole time :omgno:. That's good writing. With the opposite being the ultimate offense: setting something up as a "rule" and then just totally ignoring it later when it suits :hmph:. The best example I can think of of that is the newest Terminator (thankfully, it's being over-written!)... where it was made VERY clear that in Terminator time travel rules, you can ONLY travel BACKWARDS in time, doing so creates a whole new timeline and the previous one ceases to exist, and that's how they avoided time travel paradox. Forward time travel just wasn't a thing. And then all of a sudden, they make a PG-13 sequel where Sarah Targeryen and Bro Kyle Reese hop in a time machine in the 80's and end up in something like 2014. NO. ... ... ... .. ...

Yeah look I do agree with you but I just think that THGs did it the best out of those 3 trilogies which are all similar in alot of ways, that's why I'm comparing them.
Oh since you like all that time travel stuff, have you watched 12 Monkeys the TV series? That's so good at linking such a complicated series of events and definitely one to re watch when it's over with new eyes

"Gifted" starring Captain America, some little smart girl, and Mona-Lisa from Parks 'n' Rec
He's her uncle, she's a 7 year old genius, her mum killed herself and left her with him as a baby, he's been home schooling her then she goes off to school, they realise she's a genius, Uncle America's stern British mother enters the picture and wants to "take" her now that she knows she's a genius (turns out the dead sister was also a genius and ended up killing herself because strict British mum didn't let her have a normal life). So basically Captain Uncle wants the little girl to achieve her potential but also get to have a normal childhood (whilst also banging her teacher), while Granny wants to kill her cat and make her do maths all day (and thinks that Uncle has a crappy lifestyle, as he used to be a Philosophy professor but now is a boat mechanic). Custody battle ensues.
...It was actually a decent enough watch, tear-jerky at times... only 90 mins long so doesn't drag out or anything... an enjoyable hour and a half. It seems pretty low budget though? Almost like those films you used to get on Channel 5 daytime TV . I can only guess it was a pet project for Chris Evans since the entire budget for the film is probably less than what he got paid for Civil War :joker:. That said all of the acting is decent, or at least, Uncle Chris is good in a different role, the little girl is also very good... the teacher is passable. The British mum is a bit of a silly stereotype tbh. There aren't really any other characters.
I'll give it 6.9/10. Nice way to spend an evening, nothing ground-breaking, but short and sweet (they kept "courtroom scenes" to a bare minimum, when similar movies have a tendency to drag things out far too long).

Having read it back, I feel like I need to clarify that it's Chris Evans, not the smart little girl, who is trying to bang the school teacher. :umm2:

"Mother". ****ing bizarre. I also managed to not quite get what was actually going on until very near the end, which made me feel retrospectively stupid. And then once I did get it... I thought it was over the top.
I can appreciate the attempt to make something a bit out there, but I found the actual execution of that vision a bit sloppy and heavy-handed. 5.8/10. Cinematically it's not as bad as some people make out, but I do get why a lot of people struggle with it.
I also kinda think J-Law was totally miscast tbh.

Honest to god didn't get it until he said "I HAVE TO CREAAATE!!" and then I was like "Ohhh, he's God and she's Gaia, right."
The reason I felt stupid was that the ham-fisted Kain and Abel brothers suddenly became so obvious that I couldn't figure out why I hadn't realised before.
That said, on reflection I actually think that the entire biblical aspect itself is just a metaphor, and what it's essentially about it is "a man with a god complex", rather than an actual biblical parable. His first work was supposedly amazing and he thinks a lot of himself for it, he worships himself almost, he's more energised by his "massive fans" than he is by his relationship (they are what inspire him to write his "new testament"). The baby is a representation of Jesus, but then on the other hand, you can bring that back down to the human level: He wants to have this baby, but then he's more concerned with showing that baby off to the world than anything else. The baby in the film is killed, but specifically, they "break and consume", the metaphor being that his child does NOT literally die... but has a childhood so affected by his father's fame and being adored that he is left "a broken adult" consumed by a supposedly adoring public.
J-Law (his wife) gets "mauled and exposed" by the public which you could take as a media allegory? And all the while, the husband acts like he cares and loves her (and is upset for the child) but still believes it necessary and still essentially is selfish and self-adoring. The question is asked, "Why not just build a whole new house?" (have a different life) but the answer is that "this is his home". In the end she tears the whole thing down (leaves him, probably taking the child) but is left "burnt out" and bruised, and "leaves her heart behind". She tries to burn down "his house" on the way out, but the next day there's a new partner waking up in his bed, ready to rebuild his house for him, whilst he carries on as before.
All of the biblical imagery then is basically because HE sort of sees himself as God; and possibly, she does too. She loves his writing but he thinks of it as biblical in importance... she isn't enough for him and he thrives on the more shallow adoration of his fans.
In concept I actually do really like it, and visually it's exceptionally well done... it's just that, somehow, at the same time it kind of frustratingly misses the mark?
I also can't figure out what the yellow dust is all about. In literal terms it's obviously supposed to be anxiety medication, but I don't know what the metaphorical link is, if there is one, and it seems weird and out of place if there isn't.
Niamh.

3 Billboards - I was actually ready to dislike it, being both American and Oscar hyped (which quite proved to be an awful combination for my taste). However it was pretty good, good main character and actress and I liked the fact that the story begins somewhat in the middle of the affairs, rather then dwelling on the rape incident.
..Blade Runner 2049...I liked it much more than my recent re-watch of the first one, it was a good and interesting movie...but I probably need to watch it again though, I think it’s just one of those movies that need a second take in case a few bits haven’t fully absorbed with the first take, it’s quite easy to miss bits when you go to get a drink or biscuits or something...8/10..

I really liked it, I think it drags a bit too much in the middle and the ending is WAY too rushed as a result but Guillermo Del Toro's finally back on form and I'm here for it. I'm surprised Sally Hawkins didn't get more recognition in the awards season for a Best Actress nod.

...no, they’re both those must see movies that I haven’t got around to watching yet...i’m the only one in my family who hasn’t watched them yet...in thinking about it though...I have watched World War Z and wasn’t that super quick zombies...?...I’d just forgotten because I haven’t watched many zombie movies since The Walking Dead years...and those are so slow...also there is a Wii game I’ve played a lot...not now but back in the day...House of the Dead Overkill..and those zombies were very quick...they really tested the trigger finger and reloading techniques....so yes, I completely lied..I am familiar with super quick zombies.....
...mind you, I love all things zombie related but I’m not one for gore and violence etc...I did find Melanie’s killing of the ‘alpha’ child, impossible to watch, I left the room for that bit...especially a child brutally killing another child...so that does figure also with the zombie movies I watch, or choose to...I’m not sure what the ratio of violence is in the two 28 day ones...

The focus of 28 Days Later is the characters, really. There is gore / violence (obviously, as it's a zombie movie!) but really, thinking about it, I'd say there are only two or three scenes in the whole movie that are particularly graphic. The entire "middle section" of the film actually has very little violence at all, more character / psychology driven.

Hmmmmm I would say though Ammi, that for one of the core "themes" or ideas of the film (which I can't really go into without spoilers), the scene near the end that I think is being mentioned here HAS to be watched. Hurry up and watch it and I'll say why I think so :joker:.
(So that said, while it's a hard scene to watch, it's not mindless violence... it's a pivotal character development scene)

Victoria & Abdul. Sumptuous, visually spectacular historical fantasy, very lightly peppered with truth. One of those films that makes me think so many people will watch it and think it's actual history. 6/10... and 5 of those 6 points are just for Judi Dench.

"The Crown" on Netflix has nestled itself in my brain as the 100% accurate history of the 20th century Royals, tbf.
Also made me sort of like Prince Philip, 'cos I find Matt Smith's Philip funny.

I've always liked Phil, the old scoundrel... And actually, they didn't do him any favours getting Matt Smith to play him. Phil was incredibly handsome as a young man and Matt has a face like a well-worn cushion.
The series Victoria that really makes me smile.... take the prettiest actress you can find and everyone will think that's who Victoria was. Film and TV programme makers should be made to produce a disclaimer at the end.
Anyhoo, off topic... moving on...

The Big Sick - thought it might be a little bit like (500) Days of Summer in terms of it having a whole group of characters that I'd end up hating, but it turned out being a little bit like (500) Days of Summer in that I loved it straight away. Can't see myself growing to hate this though. Even though I'm exasperated by Everybody Loves Raymond, I loved Romano in this and Holly Hunter as well. And there were pop-ups from all sorts of actors I recognised (Kala's dad from Sense8, Wilson Wilson from Utopia) which was initially distracting but I loved Kunail's (fictional) family too. Just a really sweet story that I thought could've gone a lot darker at many different moments. I'd give it an 8 or a 9/10.
The Florida Project - literally just finished this one and oh boy, it was intense... I get the film's commentary and it shedding light on low-income families and the desperation of motherhood in such circumstances and all that, but at the same time, the mum (Halley) is very much, arguably, in my most-hated characters of all time. Just unbelievably brash, trashy, nasty, childish, naive, dumb and hateful. At the same time it was very powerful and moving, and kept me gripped. All of the performances - child and adult - were great, and there were some funny moments, but I got the impression (mostly from Twitter SJWs :p) I was supposed to sympathise with Halley when really she was a toxic, toxic presence and very little of that can really be attributed to the welfare/employment systems (the profanity and drug use in front of her child, and violence too, her ripping off her John, generally abusing the manager's trust and patience, etc). That said, it's a great movie. I'd say an 8/10 because I felt on-guard for a lot of it.

Also I, Tonya - I don't really know what to think of it if I'm honest, given the nature of the film (how it depicts several conflicting points of view), but the subject is something innately intriguing. It just didn't feel like it had much of a message to it; it was just a shrug and a "Make up your own mind" sort of affair. Like, whatever directorial comment was made, seemed to just be a commentary on how the media sensationalised the story (which might not be the most coherent argument in... a biopic about it) and how America loves a hate figure.
I guess having just watched the Florida Project before this, I'm a little on-guard about people having overly-forgiving attitudes towards terrible mothers, or glancing over actual victims just to try and explain away criminal behaviour, but that film's an extreme example of it. I guess that reveals my biases  Like I got the impression the film (I, Tonya) wanted us to believe Tonya and that Jeff/Shawn/Derrick planned this and she had no part in it, and all her life she's been abused... the film did this so heavy-handedly that I guess it prompted me to just lean towards the alternative? All while dismissing Kerrigan as stuck-up in the same breath?
I also wonder how much of a say Kerrigan had in all of this being made.
But Janney, Robbie and Stan were all great and creepy and skin-crawling and contemptuous , and I enjoyed it for what it was, so I'd give it a 7 or 8/10.

The Post - it was alright but I can't help but feel I've watched far more interesting political thrillers. I won't pretend to know that much about the people portrayed but it felt very much like "Meryl Streep being Meryl Streep" and I wasn't sure why she was nominated for it when, for example, either of the actresses in The Florida Project would've been more worthy (I figure Bria Vinaite is more of a supporting character, so would opt for the child actress instead as a 'lead'). I did enjoy it and it was very engrossing but it didn't really move me in any way. 7/10.
Wind River on the other hand completely floored me and is possibly one of the best thrillers I've ever watched. I'm already biased in favour of brutal crime dramas set in freezing conditions so I would strongly recommend similar fans (of say, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Killing, etc.) watch this. I didn't have a terribly high opinion of Jeremy Renner prior to this (I haven't seen The Hurt Locker, but from interviews / that awards presenting moment, I got the strong impression he was a gross sleaze. See: Mark Wahlberg.) but that's completely changed. He's stoic, poignant, dark, rootable and confusing all in the same 105 minutes. The action is pretty sudden but expected, but at the same time so visceral that it kept me hooked. Poor Jon Bernthal is doomed to be beat up in everything he does, isn't he? Elizabeth Olsen and Gil Birmingham are both fantastic in this, too. I gave it a full 10/10 on IMDb because it's just that good.

The Disaster Artist - I haven't seen all of the Room yet (although enough clips of it on YouTube at friends' houses when I was younger) so I can't say it all made sense to me but for what it was - and with a 40-50% knowledge of the film - I enjoyed it. The only problem I had with it is that I thought the ending was a bit... of a stretch. I find it hard to believe a premiere for the film would've had the audience in rapturous hysterics. I appreciate they wanted to portray it as the cult hit it is today but it was a silly ending IMO. That said, Franco was great and robbed of an Actor nod. I'd say a 7/10... it was fun but not that great. Maybe an 8 if I see the movie.
God's Own Country
it's rare that you see a queer movie with an...ahem... happy ending! That said, it's a pretty bleak and joyless experience all the same, and not one that really warmed itself to me  had too many cliches as well. The cheap meaningless revenge sex, in particular. But I guess without it there would've been no denouement so idk. Would give it the same ranking as whatever I'd give The Disaster Artist, really. A 7 or 8.

Thor: Ragnarok
(Rewatch, I saw it in the cinema)
On rewatching, can confirm that I genuinely think that this is the best put together movie in the entire MCU so far. The "rock guy" still feels slightly out of place to me but otherwise it's more or less flawless . Noticed a few things that I didn't the first time - like that Thor is close to going "electric Thor" like he does at the end when he's in the arena with Hulk, but gets shocked by the Grandmaster to stop him... so Thor actually WOULD have won the Hulk / Thor fight . I don't remember it playing out that way when I saw it in the cinema, which is weird... but maybe it's just because you don't know the significance of the "glowing blue eyes" look until the end?

It was....okay I guess? Alicia Vikander makes a pretty good Lara but the film is let down by it's budget and the changes to the story it's adapting just don't work. They could have just done a 1:1 take on the Reboot's story and it would have made for a good film but the changes they made to the story are actually for the worse.
It's frustrating as a fan of the games but even then, it's probably one of the better video game films.

Ready Player One
It's excellent, it's fun, mostly well written and well acted.
One of my only issues with the film is that these teenagers from the future throw out way too many 80's references and at one point one of the characters wonders whether he should go on a date dressed like Duran Duran...it's just awkward because it doesn't fit. The other problem I had were the constant references, most of which are delightful but towards the middle, the references really start to reach until the last act in which the references become delightful again.
I've not got much else to say about it really, it's Spielberg back to doing what he does best, basically and I loved it.

Isle of Dogs
It's very much a Wes Anderson film so if you dislike his work, you'll hate this but if you're a fan, it'll be right up your street.
I really liked it, I liked the approach and style (and think that cultural appropriation and white washing remarks are silly), the writing was good and it was just pretty damn good in most regards. The cast is shockingly star studied and their performances are pretty great and memorable across the board.
I suppose the only real criticism I have is that Wes Anderson plays it a bit too safe and that it's a film that feels all too familiar if you've watched his other films.

The Autopsy Of Jane Doe
Wow, wow, wow!! I wasn't expecting much before watching this, but I was pleasantly surprised. Tbh I expected it to be a run-of-the-mill paranormal movie, but it was far from it. I always prefer a small cast in a horror movie as it allows you to become more invested in the characters and the storyline, and that's definitely the case for this film. The less known about it the better, as whatever expectations you have before watching, will probably be topped. A must watch, if you love a proper horror that has a good balance of story telling, character development, frights and gore.

The Dark Tower is like a 7-part book series and it was originally supposed to be something like a 3-part movie alongside a television series... but it all kind of got abandonned / production problems and they turned the scraps into one movie (which is a complete mess).
So that's the explanation for something that seems like it SHOULD be good on paper, and has the star power to back it up, actually turning out to be confusing and crap :joker:.

Infinity War
Mixed feelings about it tbh.
I'mma spoil everything in the spoiler tags so you've been warned.
I think I'll love this film in a year's time when Part 2 comes out because this film felt quite incomplete and that impacted my enjoyment of the film since I wasn't expecting 3 and 4 to be so heavily connected as they said it wouldn't.
That being said, I really liked what was in the film but my only other major complaint was that they split the cast up too much and nobody really got much of a spotlight for it aside from Thanos who I thought was fantastic. It says a lot when the writers make you feel sympathetic for a genocidal maniac and even understand his goals and see where he's coming from, I'm not keen on the fact they killed Gamora to do that though but I did find their storyline quite moving. I actually like MCU Thanos way better than Comic Thanos.
As for the ending, I loved it, it's daring (even though you'll know they'll reverse the Gauntlet's effect as Thanos made a point of saying that half of the universe would be erased, not specifically killed) and Peter fading away while Tony could do nothing but watch honestly broke my heart although I knew they would reverse it.
Oh and Loki is not dead, I didn't buy his death for a second. I think Thanos killed one of his doubles and Loki will be back in Avengers 4, it's such a dumb badly written death otherwise. Everyone else who didn't die because of the Gauntlet is dead and gone I think and a few that did won't come back, I expect or will come back to be killed in the final battle against Thanos (Bucky, i'm looking at you). Scarlet Witch will definitely be back, it's quite obvious that she will be the key to bringing the X-Men into the MCU when Disney's takeover of Fox goes through, They'll do a House of M storyline where she becomes increasingly unbalanced because of what happened in Infinity War to the point that she uses her powers to create an idealised world in which everything is kind of ****ed up. They'll fix it but since reality has been changed too many times, things won't be the same, hence mutants.
Loved how funny it was too, Okoye and Drax made me cackle.

Black Panther and Winter Soldier remain unbothered.I've not seen it yet so I'm not touching the spoiler, but for the last part...
... So, I saw Black Panther finally and... While it's good - certainly "top tier" Marvel - I sort of feel like it's... Gulp... Over-rated? At the very least I rank Winter Soldier, Ragnarok, Guardians 1 and Avengers 1 above it. Probably also Cap 1 tbh. With Winter Soldier still in a separate league.
The villain was a great character. Until the final act. Which is where my real problem lies. They turned the only legitimately "black character" into a cartoon villain... The Wakandans are black in terms of ethnicity, sure, but they're technologically advanced isolationist who have no idea what it is to be "black people in a white world" - or in other words - the villain is basically right about them - and they beat him down . I don't get how it's empowering. Black Panther himself is, for all intents and purposes, a privileged white guy who happens to have dark skin. :worry: Most Wakandans are!
It is however exceptionally well acted, and gorgeous to look at. Though the action / choreography is frankly only OK where Winter Soldier is flawless...

From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)
10/10 > Still amazing, some funny lines and moments plus blood & gore which I like
Point Break (2015)
9/10 > never seen the original but I can assume that it's basically the same? I'll have too watch the original to compare at some point, but the action scenes was intense in this one, thrilling
Drive (2011)
7/10 > a bit slow but the bloody scenes made up for the dull moments overall good but not great

Re Dezzys spoiler :
I was thinking that of course time will be reset and they will all come back to life but I was thinking(hoping) that would include Gamora but her not coming back to life would make more sense now you mention it waaa 8.5/10

In my family we're each picking TV Shows/Movies that we're going to watch, and my Mom picked one of her favourite Films which was Dances With Wolves.
My opinion of Dances With Wolves is that it was well made and mostly well acted, and I do also like that both sides were portrayed with good and bad people within the communities, and it had likeable characters.
The problems for me however was that the main plot was very basic and non-existent throughout most of the Film, and Mary McDonnell's character was there basically just for the Soapy Romance segments, and I also really had an issue with the story sometimes jumping into certain plot strands and I was wondering how the story had got to that point? I don't know if it's bad editing or whatever I should call it but it would really bother me in the Film.
My overall score - 7/10 - If you like Historical Dramas that takes their time to push the plot forward and is more on it's characters than it's plot then this Film is for you, if you're more like me who likes more fast paced action with less focus on drama with it's characters and likes the main plot to be more prominent then I recommend to stay away from this Film.
I'm sorry for the long winded review btw, I do get a bit carried away with my opinions on Movies.

Have seen Infinity War now.
loads of kids in the cinema, clearly had no idea that it's a 2 part film and we're totally confused and devastated at the end... HAHA. I mean FFS... The villain wins, half the cast is dead, Little Spiderman disintegrates in Stark's arms pleading for his life, half the worlds population dies, and then its like "lol the end" :joker:.
I wonder who is actually dead? Vision is a goner. I reckon Loki (along with the entire supporting cast of Thor Ragnarok Wtf) really is dead too UNLESS there's a Thor 4, in which case they'll resurrect Loki and Valkyrie. None of the ones that disintegrated are dead obviously. I'm also completely unconvinced that Gamora is dead; she didn't need to die to fulfil the sacrifice element so long as thanos believed he was killing her, and believes he succeeded... So most likely, Red Skull collected her from the bottom of the cliffs and revived her.
But yeah in general I agree with the above; it felt unfulfilling to have a cliffhanger. I get why they have to... It has to be long, most people aren't going to sit through a 5 hour film (lol) and also the cost of making it would only just be recouped.
But I personally would much rather watch it back to back. I wonder if they'll do a back to back screening anywhere when part 2 is released.
I did also think there was a LOT going on that needed to be crammed in, and it lost out on some of its character moments because of that, especially off the back of Homecoming, Ragnarok and then Black Panther which all follow a linear narrative pretty much glued to the hip of the protagonist. However, it is well edited and handles the jumping around fine, where some films get disorienting.
Thor calling Rocket "Rabbit" was a highlight. I'm here for Thor 4 being a buddy movie with Thor, Hulk, Rabbit and Groot.

I don't think Loki's dead, it'd just be bad writing for a character that's meant to be as smart as him to die like that, I think Thanos killed one of Loki's clones while he made a getaway.
I agree about Vision, his death could mean that they are putting Wanda on the path of causing the House of M storyline (I think she'll get the reality based powers through some botched interaction with the Reality stone in the next film when she's destroying it). You're right about Gamora too, I think I recall the director of the Guardians films saying that she's integral to the next film so unless he's referring to the impact her death has then I don't think she'll stay dead....I don't think she's even dead dead, I think she IS the Soul Stone.
As for who will end up will end up dying for real in the next film. My money's on Nick Fury, War Machine, Nebula, Mantis and Cap.

I don't think Cap will die to be honest, unless they're doing a fake-out with Bucky... because Comic lore would be that Cap dies and Bucky takes on the Captain America title... BUT they seem to be grooming Bucky as a replacement White Wolf (not subtly... they're actually calling him that) for the Black Panther franchise? Like I fully expect him to be suited up as White Wolf in Black Panther 2. Like I said unless that's a bait-and-switch to throw off Cap rumours.
I also don't think any character who was in "the 50%" that disintegrated will die... because I don't think they'll be brought back until the final act of the film. Most likely, Thanos will lose the gauntlet or at least some of the stones and someone will use it to put things right, and then there will be a final battle with de-gauntletted Thanos and his forces... and I don't think they'll kill anyone who has "just come back".
I've also just been reading about comic book Vision... and there's a storyline where he's destroyed and rebuilt - but the rebuilt version is "ghostly white" (like the colour his body was?) and he comes back as an emotionless AI, without the human qualities he had before. I wonder if they're going to go down that route? He'll be repaired without the stone, but he'll be cold and emotionless...

I'd be really surprised if Marvel waited until the finale of Avengers 4 to bring back the heroes that 'died'. That's Spiderman, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch and the majority of the Guardians basically reduced to a cameo appearance.
I know in the comics there's a world within the soul stone that the dead go to which could lead to a story for the half that died but I don't see it tbh. A lot of the common theories for Avengers 4 is that it'll be time travel based.
That's a good theory for Vision, Could be a good way of pushing Scarlet Witch towards the House of M in a way that's not purely motivated by grief.

8/10 > much better as it was more entertaining better paced and I didn't drift in and out of interest, the ending leaves it open for another one which still hasn't happened yet but apparently it's coming out this year but the original cast may not return and it will get rebooted which is stupid, if they don't come back and it gets rebooted then I rather not have a third at all
The Hateful Eight (2015)
7/10 > 2HRS 47 minutes long but I was good throughout a bit boring but that's expected due to the run time, it picks up after the twist was revealed which I wasn't expecting and took me by surprise

The ending was CRAZY as in that it's such a big loss? Like the villain literally has control over everything so it'll be interesting to see how they fix that because :skull: And also I don't think the ending deaths are permanent and I feel like Gamora isn't dead either.

I thought it was pretty good, better than the first one. I do think most of the jokes are in the trailers but it was still entertaining nonetheless. One of the problems I had was the kid character, all of the jokes involving him fell flat and his acting was atrocious. I think, despite being a ridiculously violent fourth wall breaking comedy, there's a real warmth to it and I hope the Disney/Fox deal won't spell the end of Deadpool.

It's basically a remake of the first movie, only change stole movie script into Stolen video game

I really enjoyed this, really surprised me (not that is was great), because it was made by The Asylum, this as got to be one of there better movies, I liked the plot, sscript was good, some decent jump scares but acting was a mixed bag, , some of the cast was decent but there was some poor acting.

A Wrinkle in Time - meh it was alright, a bit too faffy-made-no-sense (I know it's a Disney fantasy thing and maybe if the film was more exciting it wouldn't bother me but they didn't really try to explain much about what was going on or why) 4/10

Alex Strangelove
It's got a terrible script that is riddled in cliches and the 'Bi now, gay later' trope which bothers me to no end. It could have been an interesting and all too rare film about bisexuality but instead it's a crappy rushed rom-com with a poorly realised and rushed romance that simplifies the issues it tries to cover.
Skip this film and just stick with Love, Simon. It's far superior.

Year One (2009)
8/10 > some visual gags which you have to watch to get which I quite liked as you have too keep your eyes on the screen or you miss them, really enjoyed it
My One And Only (2009)
7/10 > Renee Zellweger and her two sons goes on a road trip trying to find herself a husband but every man she chooses turns out to be an @$$h*** and of they go again

Escape Plan : I really enjoyed this eventhough I think it got bad reviews, it was what it was and it was entertaining. 6.5/10
Escape Plan 2 - Hades : So thinking that the first one was good I though I'd definitely like this one too........wrong. Firstly Sly Stallone and Drax from GOGs are on the cover despite them not really being the main guys in it, secondly I hated the whole futuristic prison idea, it was too far fetched and not like a proper prison, very disappointing 2/10

Incident in a Ghost land - So this was a horror type film which I don't expect much from, alot are rehashed stories so this really surprised me

Kept me on the edge of my seat, really good film for that genre 8/10

UBlack Sabbath (1963) is a anthology
"The Telephone"
This was kinda of tame, the phone ringing, was getting annoying and story
Was very predicable!,
The Wurdalak"
I found this very boring, I could not get to it at all
The Drop of Water"
This was best of the 3,
A nurse comes to get corpes ready, also stealing from the dead
And soon is haunted by the dead person she stole from
Really creepy at time ,
https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRmnwvoOQmE5bDrxvYizylhUELnNWbf2 3un7ScPNMN2TV7xHAM5
Creepshow (1982) (Re-watch , how can I not watch this, When I'm in anthology mood)
Father's Day"
Really good start, loved, as some decent bloody moments in it.
"The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill"
Was not to keen on this segment, I kinda of it a tad boring
Something to Tide You Over"
I had mixed feeling with this one, it was not great, it could have been better
And it was kind of again, predicable but I really enjoyed the ending
The Crate"
This is always fun to watch, really enjoyed, it enjoyed how creature looked, it may look a little dated now.
They're Creeping Up on You"
Short and Sweet, really well done
Creepshow 2 (1987) (Re-watch), not seen it for years
Old Chief Wood'nhead
This was really good ,
Old couple looking after their are robbed and killed
By 3 evil teenage,
The statue of Old Chief Wood'nhead come to life
And ready to kill them
If you ask me, they got of to lighty and
I loved how he chops guys hair off (guy loves his hair)
The Raft
I really liked this one,
There is something in the water
And 4 teenagers goes swimming into in
end up on the Raft
I found this very gooey instead of gory and ended was great
The Hitch-hiker
This was good one but I felt it startred of really well
Women cheating on her husband as she driving home, she hit a Hitch-hiker and leaves him for dead
She trying to get home, she haunted by him and she keeps trying to kill him, over , over , over , over again
It got boring really quick! (They should have made that segment shorter )
Creepshow 3 (2006)1st watch
This was a lot lower budget then the previous two movies, (if this movie was not called Creepshow 3, I don't we had a bad reception it as got,)
Animation was horrible, did not that at all
Alice
This was actually decent segment, I enjoyed
Alice is teenager, who hates her whole street
And her family
A dad start messing with some kind of universal remote,
Changes her life repeatly untill something goes really wrong.
The Radio
Less said about this is better, it was just stupid
Call Girl
Murderous call girl, goes to a shy teenage house,
He tell her that his parents out of town this weekend and then she ties him to a bed and blindfold him
And kills him, then cover his face with pillow
She as a shower at starts hear his voice and he shocked to found out, his not human and his killed by him
The Professor's Wife
Two ex students, thinks his bride to be is a Robot, so they try to find the a off switch, unknowing They are killing a real human. A bit gory
Haunted Dog
A Nasty Doctor, who cares about himself, buys a hot dog, then drops it and then gives to homeless man, who ends up dying.
Is very rude to all of his patients, then gets Haunted by the home less man
Very predicable
Also characters from each story interact with each other during the film, so different from last two movies

The Last Jedi - undoubtedly the WORST Star Wars film out of the lot of them, I can’t get my head around how cheesy and predictable it was, the pacing was terrible, jokes that were totally out of place with the film, like wtf was the opening bit with Po all about? It was dreadful. The plot armour on the characters in these sorts of films just ruins it, it’s ****e. 2/10 would not recommend only funny parts were the “caretakers” of Luke’s island getting pissed of with ray or whatever the bitch was called

...the bit when he finally got his own back and pretended he had left the medication in the other hotel was so funny and perfect, just as he was going on his date....

Justice League - 8/10. Really great movie, after batman vs superman i didn’t have high hopes for this but it’s actually great and miles better than batman vs superman. Wonder Woman  i wish superman was in it more though.

Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen (2003)
8/10 > young Lindsay Lohan stars in this quite enjoyable Disney comedy about the typical girl who moves away from newyork and trying to make her dream reality by becoming a star, the usual routine she goes to a new school meets a unpopular girl who she becomes friends with and also where she battles a mean girl (young Megan Fox) ETC
Duplicity (2009)
7/10 > good thriller that kept me interested about a pair of spies attempt to pull of the biggest heists ever, the ending was good and not what I was expecting

Coco - sobbed like a little girl at the end. Loved it. Could've done without the dog but I suppose the young'uns need a goofy character to get behind. 9 or 10/10. Disney are on a serious roll atm.

I watched it in Cinemas and enjoyed it too. It had it's flaws but overall was a great flick. It should have been longer though. a few scenes from the trailer didn't even make it which annoyed me.
Superman was such a Boss in this Film

I beg your pardon?
....I love Dante the dog...
...when he became a spirit guide, when all he had been in his life is a stray dog who no one had really wanted...and then he became magnificent and valued.....he was one of the most essential characters to the story...

He was a run-of-the-mill goofy nothing who was just served to make the 6 year olds laugh! END OF!
...you just take him out of the story and see if CoCo gets reunited with his family or whether he turns into dust and bones...I’m not even sure you’ve been watching the same movie...when did Goofy have such an essential part in a movie...never, that’s when...he just goofed around all day while Dante set about saving the day for our hero, CoCo...with our Dante I doubt there would be a CoCo at the end of the movie..
