..Grownups...4/10...

i was forced to watch this earlier and like

I knew I'd hate it, because everyone in it is awful bar Buscemi and Rudolph

but...just...why... there's no plot... there's just unending slapstick and fat jokes and some thin rivalry-camp thing going on... it was just painfully boring. 2/10 for having buscemi.

Man of Steel

I enjoyed it but the problem was that it didn't really feel like a Superman film. There's a bit too much wanton destruction and the ending goes against everything that the Superman character stands for. Hopefully the writers learn from their mistakes and deliver a true to form Superman film with their next attempt. The groundwork is shaky but there's potential in the sequels.

Today I watched Fanny and Alexander.

The third Ingmar Bergman film I've seen and the best of the three IMO.

Never sure if I'm gonna enjoy or have the patience to watch these non English language Art house films, but this was fantastic, kept me glued right until the end and the 3 hours flew by.

I give it full marks, A true Masterpiece.

I can see why some do not like this
as the action which starts later in the film
if very fast.
And its a long film

Thats why its great having it recorded on Sky 3-D
I can rewind any any shots to see another angle.

The Director Zack S has a style I am used to now

'Kid Cannabis' 6.8/10

'Based' on a true story about an eighteen year old American high school drop out and his twenty-seven year old friend who start trafficking top-grade Weed across the border of Canada back into the US in order to make money and their lives are changed forever.
I don't know how factual it is but it's an entertaining couple of hour watch!
Ron Perlman plays an Israeli Mr.Big type career criminal in this.

'The Railway Man' (Colin Firth, Nicole Kidman) 9.5/10

A former British Army officer (played by Firth), who was tormented as a prisoner of war at a Japanese labor camp during World War II, discovers that the man responsible for much of his treatment is still alive and sets out to confront him.
Obviously not light-entertainment but a very worthwhile watch that will open your eyes to what happened if you aren't familiar with the story.
My Grandfather was posted in Burma as part of the Welsh Guards during WWII and fought against the Japanese. He is no longer with us but when he was he never talked about his time there and this film brings home the type of enemy he was fighting over there and probably why he chose never to speak of it.
Great Film!!!!

Proxy (2013)

This movie nasty opening, with lady who heavy pregnant and his mugged by some person in hooded, who really wanted her unborn baby dead.

Then Esther wakes up in the hospital and find out her unborn baby is dead, you might think you feel sorry for,

As the moves goes learn, ( all the women in this movie are Messed up) As learn, start of the movie, was not want seemed.

First hour is about Esther , who first feel sorry for until the curve and then she become friends with another women in group Melanie

So Esther gets closer to her but is hurt by her lies, so she does something really unforgivable.

There some slow parts in the movie, about hour into, I love the slow motion scene, .

Melanie take center stage of the next hour and lead to ending moment, which may surprise people.

I enjoyed, until very last scene a abrupt ending

However this really a horror movie, it felt more like very dark drama , with some blood moments here and there.

A Promise - 6/10.

Richard Madden's new movie, also stars Alan Rickman and Rebecca Hall. Starts off very slow but once you get used to the pace it's actually a pretty good movie, reminds me a lot of Atonement and is also based off a novel just like that. Kind of strange that they have 3 British actors all playing German's but they pulled it off convincingly enough. All in all a very solid movie and a great performance from the best upcoming British actor.

Just a bit flat really. The first one is really good and I don't think I've even seen the second one, but this one was quite poor. Has a few funny moments but the plot was a bit crap and yeah.. A bit of an insult to the first movie.

This is the End - 7/10

As far as comedies go I found this near perfect, laughed out loud quite a few times. "It's too late for you, you're already in the hole" was the best part.

Good action movie but again nowhere near the original. It was good having Maggie Grace, the daughter, do more than just be kidnapped though, it would have just been really tiring if they went down that route.

My Little Eye (2002)

This was kind of re-watch, I saw this movies on TV years ago, I stay up watching, I didn't remember much from it, I know that fell sleep in some places.

I saw this DVD in shop for 75p, so what the hell, So gave it another shot, I was hoping I would not fall a sleep, which very hard not too.

As movie was far to mess, from annoying, unlikable people in the movie, you could not care less.

I found this movie drag for to long, with nothing really happen in this movie for first hour!

Then when things start to happen, they were kind of bland, the acting was very weak from most of the cast.

I just found the whole movie really messy!

2 out of 10

Open Water (2003)

I finally got to see this movie and brought long with Adrift, for £1

it wasn't really horror movie but it was thriller!

I didn't expect a low budget movie, First scenes really look that good, looked bit cheap.

it was very slow pace in parts, that didn't bother me at all , I liked some tense start of the movie

Then they drag it a little to long and then end up losing the tense feeling from the movie.

Then with guys out burst, which I thought was very funny, I could not take seriously at all.

What bother me more was acting from lead actors, were very wooded, I just could not get warm to them.

Thought the story was good but acting and pacing of the movie were poor!

I give this movie 4 out of 10

Mr. Jones (2013) - I need to give it a re-wactch , not really sure what the hell was going on (In a good way)

Oh wow Claudia was Noah that bad? I had read that there was nothing religious in it too

Well ok I admit I never read any of the bible  so I just presumed it was taken from it. Things like Adam & Eve are shown as being real, but it never explains if they only had two or three sons and one killed the other (or something), but it never explains how more people come from them, like how the hell did they have kids.

But yea at times it felt a bit like lord of the rings, I just presumed it was all from the bible.

I expected it to be something like Take Shelter, where the truth of the person's visions are unknown to be real or some type of insanity. It just seems that in Noah the fact that the god is accepted as being real from the start, it kinda left no mystery in the movie for me.

Anyway it's a good movie with good performances, just not what I thought it was gonna be.

I guess it's not really a film, it's a 3 part TV series that the BBC has started airing but each episode is an hour and a half long so it did feel like watching a film... I watched Part 1 last night, I'm going to watch Part 2 tonight, I'm not sure when Part 3 will be available on iPlayer as I'm not sure when they're being aired...

Anyway, Generation War: Our Mothers, Our Fathers is brilliant, it's a story of 5 friends in World War II Germany and it shows them celebrating their last night together before 2 of them go off to be soldiers on the front line, one of them is off to be a nurse, and the other two are a couple - he's Jewish and she's an aspiring singer and it documents how the war impacts on all of them and affects their friendships and relationships with one another... very gripping stuff. It's in German but there are subtitles. Would really recommend it!

Is that an actual question or a reference to something ?

'Mean Girls' is a classic about errrr..... mean girls, starring Lindsay Lohan (she's not mean though. She's the mean girls' target and nemesis.)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0377092/

I thought he meant Clueless is far better than Mean Girls, in the high school movie stakes

ruel Intentions (1999) I have seen movies number of times, it's really good movie, I think I enjoyed a lot more the last few times.

We decent tongue actions with girls lol , Even if Kathryn is a evil cold bitch, who have sex wit Half brother who is total A,

Well can't I say that whole word on this, There was a lot another words that came to mind before.

The movie flowed really well, there some decent acting from the whole cast, then were funny moments in this movie as well, that made laugh.

One think I didn't like was that, we didn't really get to know Annette that well, I don't think I really cared enough for her or Seb at all,it's was tool for most of the movie.

I thought the ending of the movie was great and song fits in perfectly with scenes, One of best movie ending. 8 out of 10

Cruel Intentions 2 (2000)

Well, it was original meant to air as a TV show, however it got axed before it got aired, so decided, too put two episodes and re-write some of script.

This movie is not sequel or prequel , its' a remake of first movie, with some different.

I enjoyed the opening scenes, if they it was copy of first movie, with bit different as the movies goes on.

This actually start on first day of school instead of Summer like first movie.

Evil Kathryn in this movie was decent but nothing compared to Sarah Michelle Gellar but much better portrayed then new guy playing Sebastian.

It stated of okay but as the movie on, I don't believe , it carried that character as it should have been.

Well I don't think the script helped in some place, I found some of it so bad, with scenes with

Danielle is the new Annette in this movie, I did not like her at all, I didn't care for at all.

However I did like one scenes in this movie, two hot naked girls walking into shower and well they just peck on lip, while seb in the shower!

I thought ending was decent, I didn't not expect at all, I thought it was decent turns in the story.

Cruel Intentions 3 (2004)

This actually stand alone movie in series, the only connection to first movie Cassidy Merteuil, is actually cousin is Kathryn from first two movies.

Evil sure runs in the family

There are 3 main cast members in this movie, throughout the whole , they are fooling one and another.

With some bets, you may think one thing goes one way but then twist in story, it won't really shock you as there are too may turns and trick with all 3.

One person takes think to far, I didn't not expect to see a rape scenes in this movie, thankfully it wasn't all that long and I didn't see much of it.

There are nasty people in this movie.

I thought decent and watch able movie

not a fan of kevin costner really but he was great in this. the whole cast was. lots of action , very quirky and funny film . and with a vey sexy cia siren. end was a bit naff and the whole sexy viv woman was a bit weird and made no sense but all in all i really enjoyed it

Jack ryan shadow recruit 2014 - 4/10

very average sia action movie. felt like a segal movie from the 80's but done now. typical chiche american v russian rubbish. poor action and the whole girlfriend getting involved was just plain stupid.

Asian school girls 2014 5/10

sounds like a porn movie but it isnt. 4 school girls go out get raped and go for revenge. whoever wrote it is a little sick really. he is trying to make it sexy and titulating yet he puts in rape and murder which just contradicts its self. friends die family die then 2 mins later they are stripping lol. weird. but apart from that its actually a decent film. if you compare it to the crap blockbusters

Nowhere near as bad as I expected. Some of the accents are awful (Kiefer Sutherland especially) and the acting overall leaves a lot to be desired. Plot was good enough to keep you interested and some of the special effects were pretty impressive. I only watched since Kit Harington is in it, but its worth a watch anyway.

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit - 5/10
Not bad but could have had a lot more action, a more interesting plot (still don't really get what the whole thing was about) and a less cliched villain. Kenneth Branagh really hams it up as the Russian. Watchable but not a patch on the likes of Ghost Protocol, Skyfall or the Bourne movies. Just average.

Taxi (1998)

I was little disappointed with this movie, I thought would have been better then it was.

Wells, it's miles better silly Hollywood remake that was turned this action movie in into kind of chick flick.

I thought the movie was decent at all, there were some great funny moments that made me laugh out loud.

I did think there would be a lot more action in this movie, there some actions in scene , which were good but nothing really stood out.

The acting was decent wasn't all that great

This one of the series, where I think the sequel is actually much better then first movie.

This is more like it, its as better humour and a lot more actions in this and mixed in really well.

I could not stop laughing throughout the whole and very Funny start to very last joke to end.

None of Joke falls flat, they just perfect and action in this was movie was really good,

The some great car chase scenes in this movie and I loved the scenes were Taxi was flying.

I did find most of then intruding, not one them really stood out for me at the moment, Only E as stood out to me, WHAT THE HELL!

I wasn't fan of F, that was Boring, at the moment , The worst one saw, I didn't like at all, the one with lady about to step on kitten, I just could not watch that one, That was the worst for me, I think that P.

Such a long movie, too long, However I thought the best short was T! for Toilet,

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (2010)

Well , This is re-watch, (first movie I seen Netfilx.) (I just got it this week)

I have only seen this once before and I thought it was great, I still do.

The second watch dose have same impacts but still A lot of fun.

I loved the way started, I think it was mock of TCM remake, and I loved the plot
of the movie.

There were some very funny jokes in this movie , that worked really well , well made me laugh
out a loud few times.

The deaths scenes in this movie were great, some of the deaths scene were gory then others
however all the deaths were really amusing

The acting in this movie was really good and found everyone to be very funny.

8 out of 10

Night of the Creeps (1986)

This is a re-watch, I not seen in over 10 years, I do remember that enjoyed it a lot, when I first saw it.

The second watch, I didn't find all that great, The opening scenes was very bizarre, I had
mixed with Black and white part of the movie.

I thought the movie took a bit long to get going, I was bit bored in some parts of the movie
however the second half of the movies dose make for it.

When the movies actually gets really funny, some funny jokes and some good so-what gory zombie kills and some of death were very funny as well.

The acting was great from the whole cast and I didn't mind the ending was decent!

6 out of 10, Not as great as remembered, I think I enjoyed Slither a lot more

The Crazies (2010)

Another re-watch , I know I have seen more then once before, I don't think I saw it in full in my second watch, so I gave it another ago again!

I have not see the original for a very long time, I didn't think was all that great, I do remember that I did enjoy the remake better on my first watch.

However It took me while to get into movie, I was actually wasn't really paying to much attention for the first half.

Again for this movie the second part of the movie kinds of moved a little bit more, I found some parts really good and fun to watch.

One or two decent Crazies (No, I am not calling zombies, there not zombies)_kills not many gory ones, most of the times , they just being shot dead.

I really liked some of the make up effects for the Crazies, some looked really good and scary!

The one think I am little confused about was why did some Crazies actually look scary and some just look like normal people!

The acting was decent from the whole cast!

6 out of 10, Again Not as Good as I remembered

Another re-watch, I do remember that I did like this movie, the trailer for this movie is very misleading!

The movie was decent however, I wish I saw the movie that was actually in the trailer, I heard some of scenes from the trailer I not even on the DVD! (Anyone Know I can watch this scenes?)

Even without those scenes, (Which I think would be better in this movie) then how to movie went in the end.

I found first part of really good, it's didn't take to long to get going, there some tense moments and some decent edge of seat moments.

There second half of movie was little mix bag, I do think they re-written scenes, Kind of let the movie down.

There were so good decent scenes I liked, really enjoyed the Bug scene and Fire scenes, she was some- what creepy , I wasn't fan of how the movie ended.

The acting was great from the whole cast!

It's strange plot in the movie, I think it would have worked better for
short movie better.

I did find some parts of the movie little slow and boring at time first half hour
but the movies soon picks up again!

There were some funny moments in this movie and some very gory moments but
I didn't feel like the fact, some scene kind of repeated them self for second.

I wasn't big fan tailwager being chopped off , Once wasn't enough, it got boring after the first!

I thought the acting was decent from the whole cast

Hilarious was great fun to watch. Seth and Rose worked really well together.

Side Effects (2013)

https://cdn.iofferphoto.com/img/item/544/759/731/l_FhB2side-effects-mini-movie-poster-jude-law-rooney-mara-ch.jpg

Oh dear, one of those movies that goes off the rails halfway through.

Never been much of a fan of Jude Law but he was decent. Channing Tatum (only seen him in 21 Jump Street which was ok) proved he doesn't really have much range.

Catherine Zeta Jones was a bit too cartoonish too but then it suited the movie when it became cartoonish too. It's not a bad sight to see her getting off with a woman but the story just baffled me.

It was slow moving which was fine, I don't mind those but I may have to re-watch the ending as I'm not sure I got it exactly. They came up with this huge elaborate plan to fake her depression so that they could make money from the company making new forms of antidepressants?

The resolution was also contradictory. If CZJ was imprisoned for faking the entire "depressed woman kills husband in sleep" scenario then someone should've questioned why the wife was being held in a psychiatric hospital. And if the wife was being held in a psychiatric hospital, proving she has issues then CZJ can't be charged for faking any illness. Also, it's never made clear what the wife's motivation is for any decision she makes nor her betrayal at the end. Unless I missed it.

Shame because I liked the beginning. I liked the idea of exploring the effects of people being on such strong medications, the side effects and how it seems a lot more people than we realise are suffering from mental illnesses. When she first started taking the drug, the boss at work, the woman at the party etc all casually mentioning when they were on medication or they were depressed.

Maybe I've thought about it too much but this is one strange movie.

All over the last month or so

The Watch - 4/10. A bit disappointing, Vince Vaughan and Ben Stiller are usually great but despite having a decent premise and a few funny moments, it fell short in a lot of ways.

Think Like a Man - 6/10. Really enjoyed this, it was a lot better than I expected. Brilliant soundtrack as well.

Shaun of the Dead - 7/10. Great film but not as funny as I remembered it being.

Hot Fuzz - 7.5/10. My favourite of the trilogy, definitely the funniest one.

The World's End - 5/10. First half of the film when it is just about the pub crawl is great, second half about the aliens is just ok. Nowhere near as good as the two films before it.

Pain & Gain - 6.5/10. One of the funniest films I've seen in ages. Can't believe it is actually a true story though, felt bad for laughing at some of the stuff after finding that out. The Rock is brilliant in it.

Our Idiot Brother - 3/10. Meh. Forgettable and not all that interesting. Paul Rudd done a good job in the lead role but other than that there's not much to it.

The King's of Summer - 5/10. Enjoyable film but not as good as I was hoping. It's a subject I've been really interested in since seeing Into the Wild and while the film explored it a bit, it seemed to mainly be about family/friend dynamics rather than living out in the wild. Good but underwhelming.

Oblivion - 6/10. The first hour was brilliant and I was wondering why it didn't seem to get spoken about much as one of the true great sci-fy movies, then the second hour came and just didn't live up to it. Very good film though, although the new Tom Cruise movie that's coming out in a few weeks looks identical.

The Internship - 6/10. Been wanting to watch this since it first came out, not sure why I took so long. Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughan are always great together and this didn't disappoint.

Twenty8k - 1.5/10. Terrible. Only reason it's getting an extra .5 is because Stannis' speech at the end about shagging some kids mum was pretty funny.

The Damned Utd - 8/10. Brilliant film. Michael Sheen is excellent in the lead role and I think it's one of those films that every football fan should watch really, but even those that don't like football would probably enjoy it because it's about much more than just the game.

Cavemen - 4/10. Nowhere near as bad I was expecting it to be. It doesn't stand out from other films in its genre at all but it's not as bad as its critical reviews suggest.

Iron Man 3 - 6/10. Good film. Wasn't a big fan of the storyline surrounding the villains but it was great to see James Badge Dale playing one. Wish they'd have killed Pepper off like it looked like they had done for a while, but as usual with these films they are just too scared to do anything risky.

Open Range - 7.5/10. Western films are always great when they are done right and aren't corny, and this is one of those films. Kevin Costner and Robert Duvall were a great team and the storyline works well too. Didn't think it needed the romance angle added but oh well, it's a brilliant movie aside from that.

The Darjeeling Limited - 6/10 - I loved the first 2/3rd's of the movie that was set on the train, could have done without the last 3rd but it was still good. The fight scene where Owen Wilson and Adrien Brody get peppersprayed by the other brother is probably one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen.

Thor: The Dark World - 7/10 - Matches the first one easily. Pretty good that they went through with killing off two characters and didn't ressurect them later on like these films usually do (although it did do that itself with another character). I think I prefer the Thor movies to the Iron Man ones, even though Robert Downey Jr is probably the best thing about the franchise. Although the Captain America movies are a step up from both.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier - 8.5/10. So good. It's obviously a superhero movie but it feels like much more than that, like a dark thriller. They really buffed the Nick Fury character up in this as well which has been long overdue, and the other supporting characters are brilliant (Black Widow, Falcon, etc). Sebastian Stan turned in the best villain performance of the whole franchise too, his character is great.

Nice choices

Only seen The Apartment out of those and I'd give it 10/10, really want to get around to seeing Tokyo story it's right near the top of my to see list and I've also just started getting into Bergman (seen three of his so far) so Cries and Whispers will be getting a viewing in the near future.

Yeah, it was probably the 4th or 5th time I've watched Tokyo Story. Genuinely believe it to be one of the finest films ever made. Yeah, I wouldn't call Cries and Whispers top Bergman but it is an interesting watch (as is anything made by him).

Detention (2011)

This is another re-watch, when I first saw it, I didn't think it was all that great!

However. giving it another watch, I actually liked even better the second time around.

I really enjoyed the whole movie, there were some very funny moments, that made me laugh out loud.

I thought time travel thing was odd to have in slasher movie however it's worked out really well, its was clever how they did it, It didn't seem out of place at all.

There were some gory deaths movie that I really enjoyed

I am going to give this movie a 8 out of 10

Texas Chainsaw 3D (2013)

I not really big fan of this series the only ones liked in this series was Original and Remake and rest were all really bad, It didn't like any of 4 sequels to first and I wasn't fan of Prequel to the remake.

I again this movie was fits perfectly with the rest of sequels, As it's was really bland, the movie
never grabbed in me at all, I didn't find it all that scary at all.

As I was not expecting much at all, It was what I kind of expected to be, it's had some bloody moments here and there but nothing we not see before.

I wasn't really big fan of the plot at all, the movie flowed okay but whole movie was so predicable!

..yeah I watched that movie a few years ago Ryan and I probably agree with yor score, I would give it around 1/10...hmmm, Rob Lowe is a bit too pretty for me and he has a bit of a smug look...

He's the best looking man I've ever seen, tbh. :flutter:

Yeah, not a fan of the movie really. Seems to have a fanbase, though. John Waite - If Anybody Had A Heart at the end of the film is an excellent song, though.

The Other Guys 6/10

If it wasn't for Eva Mendes being in it then it would have been lower.. the first 10 minutes or so were great with Samuel L Jackon & Dwayne Johnson who played the main cops but they killed them off for Will Ferrell who was his usual dopey self & Mark Wahlberg to take over from them.. it should have been the other way round. Steve Coogan played a main role and was probably the funniest and best character.. apart from him i didn't really find it that funny.

Stevie (2008) TV

This is another re-watch, I seen it once before, I liked the first time I saw, which wasn't that long, it's only few months ago that I saw it.

However did forget the name of the movie lol, The movie wasn't forgettable

After a long and unsuccessful period trying to have a family, Claire and Adrian finally adopt a girl. The coming of Isabel is desired by almost the whole family but making a eight-year-old girl with a past of her own fit into her new life might be something more complicated than they expected.

With this plot you maybe thinking of a The omen rip-off, well it's not, it Actually about Girls invisible friend but there turns in story, not twist, there more curve ball.

There some good scenes in this movie, which I liked, As it was TV movie there no blood or anything and it's wasn't that creepy, yet some seen really stand out!

I enjoyed how the movie flowed really well, I didn't get bored, I really liked how plot came to a end, I thought a Nice and very moving ending to this movie.

It made all sense in the end!

Really good movie 7 out of 10

Darkness (2002)

it's another Re-watch, I seen this once before, On DVD, Well , I don't where that DVD went to anyway, but this was netflix so I gave it another go! I remember fews scenes from last time I seen it, which was years ago!

I thought Idea of the movie was really good, it had some decent setting, there could have been some really good moment here and there in this movie.

Some scenes were decent however those scene didn't last to long, to be keep that tense feel to those scenes.

I thought the movie worth watching, until the last 15 minutes, which I thought really bad, I didn't really think it fitted with the rest of the movie at all.

3 out of 10

Vanishing on 7th Street (2010)

I thought this was very decent,

I actually liked the plot the movie, with darkness that tries to
find you and you vanish.

I wasn't really on edge of your the seat however There were some really good tense moment that I really enjoyed.

But Nothing in this movie was scary or creepy but some-how I could not stop watching.

I didn't thing the movie was bad at all but I thought worth a watch, Until very the ending, Which I kind of fell flat!

Dead Mary (2007)

For me this took a really long time to getting going, it's until about 45 minutes before, it actually get going.

A couple who seemed have broken before going Cabin in woods with friends

So place it going will awkward for all their Friends, which to talk about 92 % of the movie, Which was very boring.

They even wasted time of showing us, how bored they were, soon they play the Dead Mary game, well instead of the Bloody Mary , which was about hour into the movie.

There one decent thing happen in this movie, I we don't even get to see the first attack.

We only get the aftermath of the Friends dead who was killed in woods at night and then he has been turned into something.

Soon the rest of the friend, wondering, who else as changed or hiding under the human skin.

It's Wasn't really made clear what was stalking them, or hunting, sithere friends turn on one and other.

It's trying to Evil dead wannabe with Bloody Mary twist , It didn't work at all.

2 out of 10

The Haunting of Molly Hartley (2008)

I wasn't expecting much from this movie at all, with all the bad comment on IMDB Site.

I thought really bad, I was actually, it was not great movie, I don't think it was bad as people making it out.

I liked the how started of with Bang and I didn't feel slow do, there also something going on,

I wasn't bored however I did annoyed with far, Far, Far , Far to many fake dream scenes.

One and only truly thing that hate in movies, I don't like, it when one fake dream scene in movie, Record breaking number of dream scenes in this movie.

I thought the acting was really good for most of the cast, the plot was decent, the movie wasn't all that bad.

I actually liked the ending was decent, I thought I been predictable ending, I was wrong there.

This movies rely too much on the jump scares, that not scary, So fast you can't seen, if you blink at wrong time.

4 out 10

Never Back Down (2008)

I actually really enjoyed this movie, It's kind of had feel good movie vibe to it!

I know that may sound little odd but I had fun watching this movie.

I found the movie flowed really, I wasn't bored for one second, it's wasn't
action packed.

They had good mix of drama and action blended in really well.

The action scenes or fight scenes, what ever you like call them, there were
some really good fight scenes in this movie.

I liked the fight scenes were not to quick and it's wasn't to long, so don't get
bored with fight.

I enjoyed the whole start to the end of the movie, the acting was great from the whole cast!

(I had no idea there a sequel) 7 out of 10 Really good movie.

Fighting (2009)

I saw this back to back with Never back down, As I thought it would be -some what same but it's wasn't at all.

Some homeless man, it getting in bother, as a small fight, then Random guys see this guy fighting.

As he looking for fighter, He think this home less could fit in really well.

However this movie fight scenes are a few and very tame, the first fight scenes
was really bad.

Its get kicked and punched both times, falls to floor the same way both times, Unless it's scene they repeated by mistake!

I was kind of bored for most of the movie, I kind of lost in trust in the movie, stated other things, while movie was on in background.

4 out of 10

Only God Forgives (2013)

This one is odd one, it really strange, it wasn't boring or anything, I don't think it had that much of a plot.

The movie start of Guy, who ends up raping a 16 year old girl, then the father of the girls kills that man raped his girl.

So for rapist family to watch revenge against the person that killed there family member.

That is all this to plot, movie dose have some some-what gory moment, which I didn't not expect and I kind of liked

I did expect more in fight scenes, well I would not call that fight, One guy battering the other guy! , other guys didn't get hit once.

The acting was decent in this movie.

Not sure what to rate this at the moment, I going to give a odd 6 out of 10

Magnolia - i put this movie off for many years and finally watched it. i thought it was a solid movie. some great performances overall but i didnt like it as much as the critics or even many fans of it. i never like Julianne Moore tbh. she just irks me and can annoy the **** out of me for some reason and she did here as well. not saying she isnt a good actor of anything. she is but most things shes in shes my least liked even if i think she did a good job. i was more interested in Tom Cruise's story line by far compared to the others. someone mentioned above no movie should be 3 hours when talking about The Wolf of Wall Street. i disagreed as i really like that movie but i agree that applys with this movie. it was a good movie but a 3 hour one i never care to see again.

7/10

The Hunt (Jagten) - watched this cause of Mads Mikkelsen whos made me a fan since watching the tv show Hannibal. really good movie i thought. some of the characters really pissed me off though since its all about hysteria based off a lie of a little girl and some of the adults asking leading questions and just rolling with it even when she says 2-3 times she made it up. i thought it was really powerful and moving film. didnt expect to like it as much as i did.

Fright Night (2011)

I am finally seen this movie, it take me while to see this movie, (With out sounding like broke record,I not keen on Vamp movies, however Oringal Fright Night.

Is one of few Vamps movies that I actually really like, The only one main reason I actually watch this was because David Tennant , I was fan of him, when in was Doctor Who, I was gutted when left role.

Back to this movie, I liked some parts but disliked more. I start with good point first,

I clad it wasn't just another scene from scene remake, I liked how story was some-what different from first, I liked the fact his girlfriend and Mum were involved.

What I did not like was that, are really meant to care for Charley. who was Ass to Friend at the start.

Why you make lead person in the movie the most hated person in the movie, who would care, I didn't not.

The script in this movie was really bad in some places, I could not believe some of thing they come out with.

The worst thing in this movie was the effect, I hated, the vampire dissolving, I liked old fashion deaths.

The acting wasn't all that great but not saying really bad either, it was decent at best, in parts of the movie.

4 out of 10

Crowsnest (2012)

Here we go with Yet another found footage movies, (I seen few, I think I maybe getting be bored of them now, As they been done to death in recent year, there are loads I yet to see!

I was about give up on found footage, after seeing so may but after see chasing the devil, which was last and one the best found footage I have seen.

How this movie start of Justin who seem spying on neighbours, before he friends come wish happy birthday.

First we have 40 minutes of nonsense, the friends talking about what ever, I wasn't paying to much attention as I bored.

Soon they start to attack by RV , who seem giving smashing the car and that is the only action you get in the movie.

They scenes thought out the movie and When first person is killed by RV was bit unexpected but the rest were all of screen, until the last death.

There were some-what gory moment but nothing we not see 100 times already and done better.

Soon friends turn on each other, best friend slept with his own girlfriends and end up one lame fight scenes, the looks off it's they were hugging.

I don't mind found footage movies but this as got to one of most shakiest of them, If when he still, it's seem to shaky a lot, that is actually understatement. it was even worse. FAR to much!

I thought the acting from small part of cast was decent, some really wooden actors in this movie.

Soul Survivors (2001)

By the poster, you maybe thinking it's be slasher movie as

cash from scream time but it was not.

The movie start with bunch of teens been to party, As getting into car, Boy girlfriend ending kissing best friends, who is boy to her best Friend .

Then they end up crashing, As movie tries to be very clever but there give you far to many hints of what is not real and not real at all.

So you know story as soon as the crash happened and it's worth with tense moments, it okay to watch.

The acting was not bad at all, very decent from cast,

5 out 10 This movie some-what predicable , As seem done be and much better

Murders in the Zoo (1933)

a really good surprise, this seem like way before it's time, Really opening scene in the movie, we see someone being tired up and left in jungle or something and then we see his lips sowed up as well.

As the movie was about just hour long, it was kind of fast movie, There were dome dark moments in the movie and i did find this movie to be very funny in some places

I liked how movie flowed, there some really great scenes for it's time and I liked how the movie ended,

Really good acting from the cast

8 out of 10

Oculus (2014)

I did not expect this from this movie at all, I actually expected number of fake scarce scenes in this movie

I was thankfully as that was not the case in this movie, I really liked it, I found this to be little more drama and horror at the same time.

There some creepy moment that worked in this movie, again this another bit like The Quiet Ones (2014) as they both this movie do not relay on those fake scarce scenes.

I was really into movie, I liked the story of the movie, loved the flashbacks scenes, how the movie goes back and forward.

Also really enjoyed scenes, that blended the pass and present into one scene, I loved how the movie was messing with head, we some decent mind tricks.

The acting from the whole cast was outstanding.

I give out of 7 out of 10

Hypothermia (2010)
This sound like something I would like

, This movie could have really good as it had a decent plot The movie was not that long , it was only about 72 min long , which is kinda of short for a horror movie.

I liked that we get know some stuff about people and we care for them and I liked the fact we get to see there the under ice 1st I think this movie was bit bloodily not gory and I think the acting was really good.

The only major think wrong in this movie was silly creature , i it was so bad it was actually funny

I am going to give this movie 4 out of 10

Venom (2005)

The movie start with ray who helping to kids out the car after crash however there is some kind old box on the back seat as he goes to get the car that was half hanging of a very low bridge ,

Which falls and snakes come out the box, this is as some really bad effects and ray is taken to morgue only for his body to go missing.

Then people are being killed of one by one by ray I . Who Seem to be some kinda of voodo zombie snake man

The acting in this movie as got be some of the worse I ever seen in a very long time

I am going to give this movie a 3 out 10

Heartstopper (2006)

saw this the day before yesterday, l

I was not expecting much from this movie at all, I heard nothing but bad things about this movie.

Well it was not one of the worse movies I have seen, I am not saying it was great even that good

I liked the plot of the movie, I liked how started, the movie flowed really well from the start to the end.

There were some blood deaths nothing really gory, deaths were all kind of the same.

The acting was watch able at best!

4 out of 10

Waxwork (1988)

i heard about this movie but I didn't read the plot before, As was thinking, this Wax people will come to life and kill off teens one by one,

I was really shocked that it's wasn't what I was expecting, which is a good thing, I liked the movie takes some times so you get to know teen before going into the movie.

I really liked some first Wax story about werewolf was good effects in that movie, that part and I didn't like second that much at all and third the police man was funny.

There were some very funny moments in this movie, that made me laugh out loud.

I really liked how the movie flowed never once did it get boring and at a lot of stuff was happening,

Great fun and movie 8 OUT OF 10

Werewolf of London (1935)

5 years ago would never thought I would even try to watch black and white movie but 5 years later , I am not just watching it, I am actually really enjoy some oldies.

I this another really good movie, the movie it's 75 mins long, so it' kind of short and the movie didn't not take to get started at all.

I liked how the movie flowed in the movie, it's was all action packed or anything, there were some in trusting scenes here and there.

And effect in the movie was surprising really good for it's time and I did found parts to really funny, with those two old drunken ladies on stairs, were so funny.

The acting was great however I wasn't to keen on the ending, he went down to easy!

The Amazing Spiderman 2

Very flawed. It has a lot of the problems that the first one had, the Peter Parker scenes are great but the film becomes really cliched and cheesy whenever Spiderman's on screen. The villains are as weak as they are in the first film with Paul Giamatti and a random evil german scientist character being particularly painful to watch. Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Sally Field generally light up the screen whenever they appear though and their scenes generally save the film from being a complete mess.

22 Jump Street - actually pretty decent. I thought it wouldn't be as funny as the first and yeah there are some forced jokes in there but it was still alright despite those.

The Purge - such a creepy film and a weird concept D: would be so horrible if that ever happened; government enforced murders

The Wolverine - meh it was alright. Not as good as the first wolverine film. Needed more mutants

Finally got around to seeing;

~~ The Grand Budapest Hotel ~~

What a simply wonderful piece of work! My eyes didn't leave the screen the whole time it was on!
A superb cast most of whom were extremely well suited to their roles and did a wonderful job portraying their characters. Ralph Fiennes, the young Tony Revolori as Zero The Lobby Boy and the always delectable Saoirse Ronan as the lovely Agatha (i think she improves with every new film i see her in!) were probably my favourite three but there were just so many other great actors playing fantastic roles and i particularly enjoyed Harvey Keitel's portrayal of his character Ludwig too. He was brilliant!!!! Worst acting i thought went to Adrien Brody.
I can be decidedly hit and miss with Wes Anderson's films but for me at least this is the best thing he's ever made! It's one of those films that i can see myself watching quite a few times more in the future. Most of the film is so fast-paced and i thnk i'll probably still be spotting little details i missed on the fourth viewing.

I'd give it a solid 9.87 out of 10

'UNDER THE SKIN' - 9.89/10

This was absolutely bloody wonderful!!!!:clap1:
Scarlett Johansson's best acting since 'Lost in Translation'. I'd say this is her best performance ever (for me at least!). Deserves extra props for being an American who has pulled off a convincing English accent in a film role (a rare thing indeed!).
She was simply sublime in this film!!!

Definitely not a film for everyone. If you're a fan of fast moving, action-packed 'movies' then this is probably not for you.

If you like thought-provoking, indie sci-fi set in bleak, beautiful Scotland then you just might enjoy this.

Sunshine - 8/10

Been meaning to watch this for months, but finally got round to it and really enjoyed it. It gets a bit far fetched at the end but for the most part was a tense and atmospheric sci-fi thriller. It actually reminded me of the original Alien in that sense. Also visually spectacular, but the ending does bring it down a little bit. I recommend it though :)

22 Jump Street - 8/10 - I loved it, I watched it because of Channing ofc, but it was so funny & all the characters were well developed. I found it even better than the first film tbh, it was just really really good

Oculus - 8.5/10 - It actually really creeped me out which is quite rare, and I loved how it didn't copy other films & the story was disjointed which actually worked for this film [Have to watch to see], the child actors were brilliant as well

New York New York (1977)

None of them were very good but I'm known as 'The Hater' and am hard to please with films, so no surprise there.

'The Expendables 3' 5/10

Not out in the Cinemas 'til the 15th of August but it's leaked all over the Internet already. I'm not a big fan of the Expendables films but they're a bit of mindless fun i suppose. The 'acting' is just in a sub-league of its own!

'X-Men: Days of Future Past' 9.267/10

I absolutely LOVED this one!!!!!!
The scenes from the future were just amaaaaaazzzzzing!!!!!! So dark and.......uuuhhh.....futuristic! I'd love to live there, right now please!
Fantastic cast too!

When Sci-Fi is done well there's just NOTHING (in my opinion) better! We just need some really good Sci-Fi TV shows now. I miss BSG so much!
Saw the trailer for 'Gotham' the other day and it looks pretty decent. I just hope it doesn't go all Smallville on us though.

At the Devil's Door (2014) AKA Home

This movie does not take long to start off, it actually got me of guard near the start of the movie,

As the movies goes on, it kind flows really well, it tends, to have right mix balance of decent creepy scenes and a few jump scenes , those scenes are really good .

I loved the power cut science was really good, a tad creepy and hospital scene with scan , loved that scene,

The only downside , that there were no ending to the movie, they did want to finish the story , there were no cliffhanger or anything , just ended with no payoff

The acting was decent not great

Really good movie 7 out of 10

Haunt (2013)

For me the opening part of the movie was very decent ,

there one decent creepy moments , near the start but as the movies goes
on

I was so bored by it , it never got me back into it , when those scare
scenes , were so bad, I actually thought they were funny.

I thing seeing the ghost so early on and far to many times , that the
creepy factor away, Far too boring and far to scarce less and a very
predicable ending

The acting was really good , the egoist effects were not at all, I kind
of find the ghost a bit cute lol , i am kidding

I am going to give 4/10

All Good Things (2010)

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c6/All_Good_Things_poster.jpg

I don't know what to think of this. Extremely creepy film, probably the only thing I'll remember about it is Ryan Gosling in drag. Although funny at first, in certain shots was really scary. He played David Marks whose wife went missing in 1982 and they've never found her. Even when he's involved in two further murders 20 years later. Based on a true story and he still walks free today. Apparently chopping a body up in Texas isn't a crime.

Just overall frustrating plot, with characters doing frustrating things, the family sitting by allowing David to drag his wife out of a party by her hair, Katie sticking around with her abusive husband for cash to fund school. No actual explanation for anything. I like hearing these real life cases but for a movie I want them to flesh out the answers a bit more. The inclusion of the old man near the end confused me too. It's almost like they cut a scene somewhere.

Performances ok but it was just a lot of plodding along. Just reading up on the real case now and how he's got away with it is baffling.

Is it better than The Hunger Games? I hated that.

For a mainstream film i actually really enjoyed The Hunger Games but i thought the sequel was even better. Some great actors giving great performances in both of them. Certainly a million times better than the Twighlight films (or the two i managed to endure anyway).
Granted, it was no Brazil but films like Brazil (aside from not being made any more!) just don't make enough money to get the backing of the big studios any more.
I watched a free download of Divergent and was really happy i hadn't paid money to see it. Thought it was dreadful personally. Kinda' like someone tried to make a budget film aimed at the same audience as The Hunger Games but forgot to give it an interesting storyline!:nono:

..Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid...Paul Newman/Robert Redford..perfection..9/10...

Such a fantastic and classic film from back in the day!!!!
Amazing to think it's nearly 50 years old now too! It's a perfect example of the kind of mainstream film that they used to make in Hollywood that managed to satisfy the Studio that made it by being really successful and the audience and critics by being a really well written script delivered superbly by brilliant actors and it's visually beautiful as well!!! They certainly don't make 'em like this any more sadly!
I just had a look to see what they spent making it and it was a hefty $6.8 million which was a huge budget for 1969 but it made $102.3 million at the box office!!!!! It's one of the top 100 grossing
They made a prequel in 1979 too but it wasn't great......at all!!! No Newman or Redford....recipe for disaster!

I re-watched (for probably about the 20th time at least!) 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind' the other night. This is such an absolutely amaaaaaazing film, definitely up towards the top of my favourite films of all time!
I'm a huge Sci-Fi fan anyway but i think this film is a brilliant film in its own right, just as a general film and not only in the Sci-Fi genre.
I first saw this film when i was 6 years old when it was originally released at an outdoor drive-in cinema in South Africa (where i lived at the time), Midnight Screening with my parents and sister in the family Volkswagen, speakers hooked onto the front windows! At the time it was the best film viewing experience i'd ever had and i can't really think of a better overall experience i've had watching a film to this day! It absolutely blew my mind!!!!
I'm sure the majority of people here have seen it but if you haven't i can't recommend it highly enough! Even watching it the other night it stands the test of time so well and it still looks fantastic as do the special effects. It's just such a great story too! WATCH IT!!!!!
