The Dead Zone, with Christopher Walken. One of my favourite movies of his.
And I also love the spin off show.
...Anna and the Apocalypse...a musical comedy horror...it strangely actually worked quite well, I enjoyed it...the storyline didn’t offer anything new but it was just all an easy watch for what it was....I would say 6/10...
...What They Had.......I don’t know what to say, having a mum who has Alzheimer’s, it was just incredibly emotional and well done.../...very, very moving...7/10...
O Brother, Where Art Thou?
I thought this was brilliant. Very entertaining story, lots of funny moments, good music, and the three main characters were all great. Perfect run time for a mid afternoon film as well at just over an hour and a half
8.5/10

Nomadland
I didn’t realise until after watching that Swanky, Linda May and Bob play ficitionalised versions of themselves
It did feel at times like a documentary rather than a movie
thought provoking film, and hard to believe that there is a community of nomads in the States

Wrong Turn (2021)
Despite warnings to stick to the Appalachian Trail, hikers stray off course and cross into land inhabited by a hidden community of mountain dwellers who use deadly means to protect their way of life. Suddenly under siege, the friends seem headed to the point of no return -- unless one man can reach them in time.
I had low expectations going in and they were pretty well founded, the movie is poorly paced, badly written and insanely dumb. The original is no masterpiece but this movie feels like a step down even for this series.
The characters are dumb af, bar maybe the main girl the rest are pretty loathsome and really one dimensional and nobody is given any growth apart from said main girl so you end up not caring who dies or lives and sadly the deaths are all off screen apart from one head smash so there is just no reward at all.
The clan are moronic too, they stalk the six friends, fell a tree that kills one of them (the best scene in the movie) and steal from them before kidnapping and killing another and then get angry that one of the survivors killed a guy dressed in a deer skull. It's so poorly written.
The final twist is that the main girls father goes looking for her, she decides to escape but her boyfriend who the clan have taken on as a hunter is somehow brainwashed after 4 weeks and decides to stay behind. It makes no sense and the movie is a mess.

I really loved this a lot more than I thought I would. It starts off like most Disney films these days, a girl and a powerful being off on a journey to save the world... It's essentially Moana at first glance, but the film outgrows the familiar set up to deliver something with a lot of heart.

Capone - I love Tom Hardy and all and he played a brilliant part but this film was fair ****e. Most of it is in his head, it's a bit gross and honestly even though he's a real character couldn't possibly be "true" other than he had dementia at the end, no one could know what was going on in his head. Anyway it was boring. I'll give it a generous 5/10, all 5 points are for Tom Hardy
Siberia - What a terrible movie, the plot line was really simple but also hard to follow, if that makes sense? Anyway I watched it because I like Keanu but not even he could save this floppity flop 2/10

Woodrow Grant, an alcoholic, embarks on a road trip to Lincoln, Nebraska, with his estranged son, David, to claim a $1 million prize. During their trip, David uncovers his father's emotional side.
Absolutely fell in love with this charmingly melancholic movie. Bruce Dern is just fantastic in this. Beautifully shot and graded in black and white, a really heart-warming story about "life" and life's journeys - just brilliant.

...it’s titled differently because TV series can continue for many years etc...they’re more of a dedicated project than a few hours for a movie......
...Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom...I started to watch this a while ago and didn’t get around to finishing it, so I started from the beginning again yesterday...I love movies that are very contained and confined in a small set so that it’s all about the acting and doesn’t have any reliance on location shots at all to create everything essential to the movie...anyways, I can’t give anything away that would be a spoiler as such so...I loved it....I’ve watched very few of the award nominated movies this year, I’m struggling to find where I can watch them...but so far, with the few I’ve seen...an Oscar for Viola and an Oscar for Chadwick...both totally amazing performances in the movie......9/10....

Promising Young Woman
I can normally see endings coming, but for some reason didn't expect that? And even though it surprised me, it made total sense why that ending had to happen. BUT THE SATISFACTION when the lawyer receives that envelope. :flutter: Just sad that it took TWO young women to lose their lives to get the bastards behind bars.
"I guess you just had to think about it in the right way. I guess it feels different when it's someone you love" this line applies to so much in society. People have very little time for compassion for others, which leads to the mess of a society we have. Everyone's far too self serving.
The first half of the movie, not gonna lie, it felt like Emerald Fennell stole a lot from Killing Eve (mostly stuff that was infused in the show before she ran the far inferior second season) but the story evolved and became way more of its own thing, so I kind of like the duality. It helps that you're expecting one kind of story and get another. Even down to the "romcom" style of some scenes, which helped get the point across about potential rapists being nice guys who don't see the wrong in what they do on nights out.
Anyway, probably biased because this is the only Oscar movie from this year that I've seen so far, but give Carey Mulligan the award. :clap1:

I mean that’s unsurprising because it was terrible. Everything about it from the script, to the pacing, to the acting, to the tone was like a cheap B movie and it had characters and plot points that literally went nowhere. The only good thing it had going for it was it’s CGI budget and that was truly wasted on this. No wonder Will Smith turned it down. It’s actually tarnished the memory of Independence Day which is a fantastic film... I wish I had never watched it :bawling:.

I know, and I just can't believe they messed up the sequel so badly. It almost feels like it's mocking the original at times? Like it's aiming for nostalgia by echoing some of the big moments, but it comes across as taking the piss...

Well it's implied she has been because she talks about her kid and "both sets of grandparents" one of which we can assume is her birth parents... but her still getting some sort of petty revenge all those years later? It just seems a bit... sad... like you would prefer to see that she's actually moved on, and come to terms with the fact that her "mother" was just an extremely unwell individual.

Yeah the cast are what kept me engrossed. They were stronger than the script.
It annoyed me how we got next to no explanation as to how and why the man managed to be left on the station with nobody realising.
And then whilst I understand the awful one of us must die dilemma, did it not occur to any of them that maybe the doctor was more important to be there for the duration of the trip than the two guys? One of whom was nothing but a student and the other guy who did algi research had no research left. Just the way they allowed her to sacrifice herself so easily annoyed me.
Edit - Just occurred to me the student couldn't have climbed the ship, Daniel Dae Kim was shown to not be very good at climbing and the commander had broken her arm. ANYWAY :idc:

...it just felt very ‘flat’ all the way through so that’s how it left me feeling in the end as far as a ‘space movie’ goes..but I still found interest as a huge human dilemma type thing, which essentially it was and I think the cast really portrayed that quite well...we knew that it would be Anna Kendrick as Zoe, didn’t we...we knew it wouldn’t be anything else in the end so I guess that’s why it was a movie that couldn’t be ‘lifted’ in any way and that we had to feel that flatness that they all felt...that one of them had to be ‘sacrificed’ and it wasn’t a movie that any one of them was going to fit that role when we would be saying and thinking....oh yeah, that character, we’re not so keen on them...let them be the one...?....I mean, we’re talking about it now so it actually was quite thought provoking with the dilemma, I think..but also flat and just okay because why give us a movie that has no hope at all, I mean...who needs that for goodness sake..it was a Sunday evening when I watched it I think and not a start to the week we want....
...but yeah, people wandering about and stowing away is really shoddy security tbh....someone needs to be accountable for that and for Zoe’s life...

...it just felt very ‘flat’ all the way through so that’s how it left me feeling in the end as far as a ‘space movie’ goes..but I still found interest as a huge human dilemma type thing, which essentially it was and I think the cast really portrayed that quite well...we knew that it would be Anna Kendrick as Zoe, didn’t we...we knew it wouldn’t be anything else in the end so I guess that’s why it was a movie that couldn’t be ‘lifted’ in any way and that we had to feel that flatness that they all felt...that one of them had to be ‘sacrificed’ and it wasn’t a movie that any one of them was going to fit that role when we would be saying and thinking....oh yeah, that character, we’re not so keen on them...let them be the one...?....I mean, we’re talking about it now so it actually was quite thought provoking with the dilemma, I think..but also flat and just okay because why give us a movie that has no hope at all, I mean...who needs that for goodness sake..it was a Sunday evening when I watched it I think and not a start to the week we want....
...but yeah, people wandering about and stowing away is really shoddy security tbh....someone needs to be accountable for that and for Zoe’s life...
Yeah she was the only character they gave any development to.
Anna Kendrick has actually become quite the dramatic actress tbf. I only knew her from comedy but have watched her in a number of serious roles the last couple of years. I used to find her annoying.
the reveal that the last batch of algi had failed was quite a good moment I guess.
But yeah they thought of the ending first and then built the movie around it.

.... The Fourth Kind......I did t know anything about this and I’m not completely sure what I felt about it...I will do some research as to any of its ‘truths’ because I’m always fascinated at any movies based on true stories...I’m thinking that....
...the true story part would be that there have been unexplained disappearances and then the movie was built on alien abductions so very little actual truth but I’ve yet to research anything so..it’s a bit of a Blair Witch type style with demon possession and alien experimental stuff thrown in, a missing child and suicide....and a scary owl watching us all ...so a little mixed up....
...and also, the cast just wasn’t that strong tbh...
...5/10...
...Rocketman......strangely a movie about Elton John...what can I say, I loved it.....I loved the songs and I loved Taron Egerton‘s portrayal of Elton...I’m so pleased that Elton found David and they have their children and he overcame his addictions...(...obviously except for shopping...)...and found ‘proper love’ and a ‘proper family’...incredible to think that wasn’t that long ago that mindsets were fixed in such a way...I’m thinking 7.5/10......

It's a film for people who like good performances and excellent cinematography. I found the subject matter interesting although the story strands felt a bit weak until the end. It's very much an Oscar film in which not much happens but it's oddly compelling regardless.
7/10 mainly because I don't think I'll recall much about it in a few weeks time but the film itself is solid.

Just from reading the credits at the end as well it looks like a lot of the cast were genuine people who lived that lifestyle, the two women who were good friends with Fern for example Swankie and Linda May

I’d never seen it before shamefully - stuck it on to see what all the fuss is about. Lived up to the hype, such an easy watch and probably one of the best “rom coms” (if you can call it that) I’ve ever seen. You’re rooting for them to get together from the first moment they’re on screen together - brilliant chemistry.

Really enjoyed this. Surprised and a little disappointed Jennifer Jason Leigh got such little to do. But I suppose they were trying to mislead us, with her known for playing unhinged characters, into thinking she was going to be the villain.
Julianne Moore was really good in her small part. I spotted the “What makes you say that?” straight away so kind of knew it wouldn’t be as simple as JJL pretending to be her. I actually thought she was going to turn up alive, as the stabbing scene I suspected she was pretending someone was there to fool Amy Adams.
Then about halfway they over egged the weird teenager angle so then I kind of thought it would be him. The end sequence was odd, with the CGI closeup of her stabbed cheek and the OTT chase, the kid’s overacting. It was like the film turned into a Saw sequel or something. :joker:
Overall really good, would have liked more of a resolution with Gary Oldman’s character. But it was gripping throughout, kept you thinking with the twists and turns and Amy Adams was solid.

Army of the Dead
It was cute and the fact that Tig Notaro was essentially a special effect is pretty incredible, but the film as a whole was way too long. You could have literally cut 45 minutes off the runtime and not affected anything.
Also the daughter's subplot with the woman she was trying to find was quite frustrating. It has no payoff and it just cheapens the film since that whole story serves as nothing more than a plot device to screw things up.
Also, justice for that queen with the bandanna and the hoop earrings :clap1:
I did enjoy it for what it was, but it could have been better, especially considering how good Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead was.

Cruella
Overall, it's a fun film that's deeply flawed in part but the Emmas' performances are pretty great and really carry the film.
Starting off with the bad, the first fifteen minutes of this film is painful, Cruella's childhood is contrived, boring and features some of the worst performances I've seen this side of those dancing idiots in Hollyoaks. There's also the rather big issue that Cruella De Vil is not really all that evil in the film. is she a bit of a bitch? Kind of, but she's not really the villain the film desperately tells you to think she is. I'd say it's a step up from Maleficent, but if Disney wants to keep making villain films, they really need to let their villains be, you know, villains. At times it felt like they were pushing Cruella to almost be a Joker-esque figure which would have worked really well, but they were just too scared to make her too much of a villain. She's basically Harley Quinn-lite at times which isn't what you really want from Cruella. Still, the character is pretty likable regardless. The film also feels a bit too long (if they chopped down that dreadful childhood section, it would have been the perfect length) and the pacing is a bit schizophrenic.
As for the good, as I said before, Emma Stone and Emma Thompson are having a lot of fun and it shows and the visuals are pretty great, as is the soundtrack. There's also a number of sequences and scenes that are quite spectacular. I'd honestly like to see them do a sequel if Disney could allow themselves to let Cruella be actually evil.
It's a lopsided film that's a bit of a diamond in the rough, but it's a fun time regardless.

Fast zombies would be one of my worst fears if I ever found myself in a horror film. I did like how, if you consider Army a potential prequel to Dawn of the Dead, that it potentially explains why the zombies are fast.

I saw this for the first time last night after noticing it was on BBC Player. Had heard a lot about it obviously (Cher's Oscar etc) but had never actually seen it myself.
What a lovely, heart warming and funny movie. Brilliant cast especially Cher, Nic Cage and Olympia (RIP). Really loved the whole setting and emphasis on the Italian American family too. Really enjoyed it.
There's just something about these classic rom-coms set in the big city that I love - especially if it's NYC. "When Harry Met Sally" has that same vibe about it, something fundamentally "romantic". Pure comfort viewing.

"Summer of 84"
I'd describe it as a cross between Stranger Things and "The Burbs" with Tom Hanks :joker:.
The basic premise is that a group of 15-year-old boys from small town America become convinced that a man who lives on their street (who is also a cop) is a serial killer who is behind the disappearance of teenagers in their area, so they strat following/investigating/spying on him/going through his bins etc.
For those who haven't seen "The Burbs", it's a Tom Hanks film about a group of blokes who are convinced the new family on their street are murderers. The premise reminded me a LOT of that (with skeptical parents rather than skeptical wives), though this is less tongue-in-cheek. But it does have "coming of age comedy" elements (thus, Stranger Things) and is MOSTLY quite light-hearted, though does take a darker turn.
Enjoyable little film, easy 7/10.

Overall, a great film and moves the story along nicely. The action sequences were flawless and my only complaint would be that it was too short. Another 10 minutes or so would have been ideal.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It
The lack of James Wan is really felt, and sadly this falls more in line with the wishy washy spinoffs than the excellent first two films. It's not completely bad though, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are great and there's a lot of heart this one, just like the first two but I think the story falls a bit flat.
I like that they tried to do something different, and that it's not just the Warrens investigating a haunted house, but I don't think the story worked very well. The villain felt half baked and underdeveloped and they weren't really a patch on the Witch and the Nun (let's forget her spinoff) from the first two films.
It was all just kind of bleh, really. The idea that the satanist did what they did for the sake of it felt really weak as well. There's no real motive or reason for anything that happens and it isn't written well enough to play the Satanist off as some random opportunist. Like, in The Strangers, it's actually creepy how the killers just chose a random house to terrorise, but here it just felt like bad writing. She became a satanist because her dad fought against a cult and that was it. Terrible.
It's a decent enough watch, but there's a noticeable drop in quality from the first two films and I can only hope that James Wan returns to the franchise before the inevitable next film continues it's descent into bland mediocrity.

That would have been a more interesting outcome tbh. I like that they tried to do a different kind of villain but I don't think anything about her worked. She's just too detached from everything that happens aside from the connection to her father.

Yeah it almost felt like a whodunnit trying to work it out during the film, it would have been a lot more interesting with the girlfriend, she was the same age as the two girls that went missing that could have been the connection there and then the stuff with her own family could have been something else idk I’m not a writer but yeah, it felt a bit like “oh it’s this random woman with no real motive or payoff for doing this

I couldn’t believe how dark it was when I first saw it, must be about 15 years ago now. It’s really, really horrible in parts and I was fully expecting a Grease type deal honestly... :skull:
Might watch it again soon actually.
Boogie Nights too I fancy seeing again also, same sort of era (fantastic movie!!)

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It
I really enjoyed it and Vera and Patrick are on form, the other two are better but it's still a great movie and the acting was top notch. It didn't have many jump scares this time either.
A Quiet Place 2
Good but very flawed, nowhere near as good as the original but I did enjoy them showing some of how the whole thing began. The end was lame though.
Spiral
I wish they'd just let Saw die at this point.

They couldn't make the girlfriend the satanist as it's based on a true story and Arne and Debbie stood by the Warren's in real life.
I also quite liked that the satanist was just a bitch who chose to hurt others, sometimes having no backstop makes for a scarier villain in my opinion, like how they tried to blame abuse for Miachel Myers being a psycho I'm the Rob Zombie Halloween, he was way scarier as just a bloke who decided to kill people no explanation needed.

A random psycho can be scary, but I don't think it worked in this film, especially when they tried to explain her a little bit at the end. It was like they wanted it both ways, and neither way worked.

Well I went to see Peter Rabbit 2 with the kids. It was an okayish film. But you can tell it has a lot of American influence and its sort of ruining the legacy of what Peter rabbit was. The plot basically evolves around Bea the woman who has the rabbits in the first place and falls in love with young McGregor. Well in the second they get married and she has had some success from writing her first novel about everything that happened in the first film(making out the Bea is Beatrix potter which I'm really not liking) and then a book company is wanting her to release a second book but trying to change everything Peter rabbit is...won't give too much more away but it's ironic seen as though these movies take away a lot of Peter rabbits original classic charm and make him have James Cordens voice...it isnt a good film. But it has a few laughs through it and my kids loved it and are still talking about it a few days later
Anyway tomorrow night I'm off to the cinema to watch quiet place 2 with my friends. Really looking forward to it just hope there are many jump moments

Luca
It was very cute, and while it doesn't do anything new, it's a solid Pixar film. It's not one of their all time greats but it's a fun little film in it's own right. I think my main issue with it is that it felt like something was missing from the story. It really kind of felt like the first half of the film was setting up Luca and/Alberto as LGBT characters, the queer coding was abundant. I can only assume that someone got cold feet and decided against it, which is a shame, but it doesn't ruin the film. It would have definitely elevated it if that was the case though, and would have probably made the film a must watch for many LGBT kids out there.
Still, I can only judge what was in the film, not what wasn't and the film was still very heartfelt and cute.

I hated it
no idea what attracted such talented actors to the script, it felt so forced and half of them came out looking so pretentious.
The traveller characters were underused, it would have been nice to see more interaction between them and the locals, but they literally introduced them and then killed them off screen. Utterly pointless.
What was the point in the juvy kids? I don't even remember what happened to them - are we meant to believe they managed to escape the detention center filled with zombies?
Mindy was one of the dumbest characters I think I have ever seen in a horror movie.
Tilda Swinton was great but incredibly underused and the alien ship taking her made me cringe, could imagine the script writer writing it and thinking how quirky they were too.
The hardware store stand off was moronic. We get told this guy (I love Danny Glover but ouch) had owned the store for YEARS but never thought to reinforce the back exit to his store? Come on now.
The 'zombies go back to what they remember' crap was forced down the viewers throat so heavily, and I get that, Dawn of the Dead did it beautifully showing our consumerism, this movie hammered it home but they did it SO badly. So zombies return to what they know? Okay...why did they overrun the motel? The owner literally said it was nor busy but the zombies went there? Plus...them Zelda was beamed up why were there zombies standing in a field?
Anyways yeah I watch so much horror but passed this initially in theaters because I don't like Adam Driver and it has to be one of the worst zombie comedy's I have ever had to suffer through.

Willy's Wonderland
A guy damages his car running over a spike strip and cannot afford the repair bill, a local businessman offers to pay for the repairs in exchange for the man cleaning out an abandoned family restaurant called Willy's Wonderland. But Willy's has an ominous past...
I was looking forward to this and I found it just okay really. Nothing really stood out for me to mention it being good or bad. Nicholas Cage stars and doesn't speak a single word iirc.
The deaths are meh and mostly bloodless and the 'killer' is far from scary. I think the highlight was probably Beth Grant as the Sheriff or the actress playing the character of Liv. Everyone else felt like cannon fodder.

A graduating class organize an 80's themed party at a local Warter Park. Things quickly go terribly wrong.
This had so much potential, it was campy and fun and a lot of the characters are either likeable or interesting enough. Sadly it was a build up for nothing, you get a few deaths but none are water related which was a shame and then there is one scene where the killer sabotages a water slide that's pretty gnarly but that's it. You just watch people hurtling down a slide in slo mo for a good 20 minutes. Pretty poor.

Yeah pretty much, we only went to see it because we had a couple of hours to kill, it was raining and there was nothing else on at the time
Have you seen Into the heights?
A great musical.
…Nocturne…really enjoyed this twin sibling rivalry/competitiveness and the gruelling life devotion to becoming great musicians …maybe not quite as harrowing as Whiplash but very similar in vibe…and a twins version, so another layer to the story…I’m not quite sure that it quite reached the heights of ‘horror’ though and I think that it was meant to…but it was quite intense and enjoyable for a rainy Sunday afternoon….7/10…

Unhinged is a good movie available on sky movies
:shrug:It's a very uplifting film.
We've come on a long way.
It was really funny, and very heartwarming.
One I could watch again.
… listen….we don't mind the gays and the lesbians, that's fine….but don't you DARE be bringing people from North Wales down here…!!!!!…..

I actually watched Pride after seeing people on here posting about it. Remember it advertised when it was in the cinemas but never watched it.
What a fantastic movie. Just what I needed. Absolutely hysterical in parts, especially when the Welsh lot go down to London around all of the gay bars - brilliant.
Imelda Staunton is fab (as are the whole cast tbf) and the end nearly made me want to cry. 9/10.
Fear Street Part 1
It had an interesting premise but the breakneck speed of the film went against it. Filming an entire trilogy and airing it over three weeks is an interesting idea but I feel like this one could have been better served as a miniseries because the plot never got the chance to breathe. There's also the failings that the characters act quite dumb, which is understandable as horror typically requires it's characters to make mistakes for it to work BUT the characters are a bit TOO dumb in this one.
Staining themselves with Sam's blood was a bit dumb, why wouldn't you just do the same trick with the mannequins? Better writing would have been that they would try the same trick again but the witch changes the rules after they blew up the killers in the bathroom, like she does at the end to bring the other teenagers 'into the game'. You could have created a sense of danger for other characters without having them make dumb decisions just to benefit the plot.
That being said, I still found it entertaining and will be watching the next two parts. The story is interesting enough and I'm interested to see how they can sustain it for two more films. It's an enjoyable film, as long as you don't think about it too much.
7/10
…I guess that I didn’t mind the ‘dumbness’ as such because it enabled me to skip through bits that I was less keen on without being too involved in thought and plot, you know…?…..this is so generally not my genre and vibe of movie but the speed of it all and zipping through it and feeling the throwback stuff more etc, really helped for my enjoyment…but maybe that’s because I’m an amateur at this genre, generally…
….Dating Amber…such a beautiful and thoughtful and tender and gentle movie about ‘coming out’ which is set in Ireland in the 90’s….many laugh out loud moments and lots of smiles and just a gorgeous story of friendship and feel good..….9.5/10…

…Midsommar….seriously messed up…1/10….

Phantom Thread
Watched it all but I knew from about 10 minutes in it wasn’t going to be for me. I’m a huge PT Anderson fan but I just couldn’t get into this at all. Plus the whole “yeah no worries babe you keep giving me poison mushrooms” thing - WTF?
Lovely to look at, good acting but yeah not for me so 5/10
Ew 1/10, that's almost made me curious to see how bad it is [emoji28]
…you might like it, it has a reasonable rating on IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes…but I felt no connection with the characters at all and it really wasn't my thing…I forced myself to watch it to the end just because I don’t like to walk away from a movie without seeing it all the way through….
…Fear Street Part 1: 1994….…. Shadyside, killer capital of the USA..a Stranger Things slashertime edition…slasher type movies really aren’t my thing at all and there were bits that I didn’t watch in the detail but this was soooo deliciously throwback to so many movies, I loved it, it was like a crazy Halloween night of classics released in one cauldron….I can’t wait to see how the trilogy all connects with the other two parts…a brutal and slashing but fun 8/10….
…Fear Street Part 2: 1978….…the influences for this were Friday 13th and IT…and I haven’t watched any of the Friday films or IT…(…I don’t think that I’ve seen IT, anyways…)…so I didn’t get many of the references…but I think that I liked it even more than Part 1, though…. because I enjoyed the connections between the characters more and how Sarah Fier’s story has woven through perfectly from Part 1…there were so many ‘stereotypes’ of horror movie character types in these movies…I still don’t like the slasher bits as such but the movie itself was such a compulsive watch and the Bowie soundtrack…?…stunning…8.5/10….

…you messed up child, you……yeah, I knew that it had a good rating so I wouldn’t go on my own rating as an indication….it would have been ok with the messed up parts tbh, had I in some way connected to the characters/plot etc but I just didn’t so I struggled with any ‘human element’….

Yeah thats fair, the only person who has any real character development is the girl
…Our Friend……this couldn’t not have been one of the most sentimental and emotional stories but it’s also a true story of lives, of friendships, of a family, of love and of cancer…the enemy of them all…it was tender, it was raw, it’s was a painful journey and a true journey and the cast was superb…8/10….
