In light of David Platt's ever yoyo-ing tan, I have decided to start a thread within a thread...Welcome to Tango Watch!
In today's installment we look at Davd Platt in Wednesday's installment. He was positively glowing! Like a radioactive manchester fairy man! I give him the rating of 'deep bronze, almost a Mario rating!'
Scarlett.

Ken (William Roache) is asleep and fully clothed on the sofa and Blanche (Maggie Jones) can't help but make a comment about living with a wino. Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) is still concerned about the similarities between her and the character in the book but Ken refuses to discuss it leading to another row. Has Ken's novel finally driven a wedge between him and Deirdre?
David (Jack P Shepherd) is determined to sort things out with Tina (Michelle Keegan) and throws a sickie to get the day off work so he can wait for her to arrive at the kebab shop. It soon becomes evident that Tina is in no mood to forgive him though and Darryl (Johnny Dixon) tells him he should have more dignity.
Michelle (Kym Marsh) is delighted that Ryan (Ben Thompson) has returned home from his trip with his dad but she is less than impressed when she discovers that Steve (Simon Gregson) has already filled him in their split. Ryan is worried about where they are going to live and she tells him that they are stopping at the Rovers as Steve was the one that cheated on her. Meanwhile Steve has other things to worry about when Jason (Ryan Thomas) arrives at the cab office and demands to speak to him about Becky (Katherine Kelly) - has Steve been rumbled?
Elsewhere Pam (Kate Anthony) and Molly (Vicky Binns) are excitedly looking at wedding mags and Ted (Michael Byrne) asks Audrey (Sue Nicholls) go with him to the opera.
This episode is written by John Anderson and directed by Damon Rochefort. The producer is Kim Crowther.

PI for rest of the week follows:
Monday 11 August 8.30pm
Steve (Simon Gregson) is a worried man as he faces Jason (Ryan Thomas) in the cab office. He is sure he has found out about him and Becky (Katherine Kelly) and is relieved when he realises Jason is just worried about Becky's job. Later however Steve manages to annoy Becky when he implies that he has got more to lose than her if the truth came out. In a bid to wind him up she decides to invite Michelle (Kym Marsh) on a night out with her and Sean (Antony Cotton). Michelle takes great pleasure in changing the rota so that Steve has to work. Will this warring couple ever make up?
Ken (William Roache) is in despair as he reads some well thumbed paperbacks which once inspired him. He compares his own writing and frustrated grabs a bottle of scotch and heads out. Meanwhile Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) is starting to wonder if her marriage is over, convinced that Ken now has no respect for her at all and believing that the character in the novel is based on her. Ken tries to convince Blanche (Maggie Jones) that the characters are fictional but realises that the book is not very good and makes a decision which sends his dreams up in smoke.
Tina (Michelle Keegan) is still trying to avoid David (Jack P Shepherd) so Joe (Reece Dynsdale) tries to orchestrate a meeting between the pair by booking a night's ten pin bowling and asking Gail to turn up with David.
Elsewhere Tyrone (Alan Halsall) is worried that Auntie Pam's (Kate Anthony) knockoff ham sales are affecting Ashley's (Steven Arnold) business.
This episode is written by Chris Fewtrell and directed by John Anderson. The producer is Kim Crowther.
*****
Wednesday 13 August 7.30pm
Steve (Simon Gregson) is worried about Michelle's (Kym Marsh) night out with Becky (Katherine Kelly), Sean (Antony Cotton) and Marcus (Charlie Condou) and tries to encourage the guys to take them to a gay bar. He's horrified when Michelle comes into the bar cleary dressed to impress. The night is a success for Michelle when she bumps into an old musician friend in a karaoke bar and invites him back for a nightcap - how will Steve react to this latest development?
Gail (Helen Worth) comes clean to David (Jack P Shepherd) about Joe's (Reece Dynsdale) plan to get him and Tina (Michelle Keegan) back together via a 'surprise' meeting at the bowling alley. Tina's not fooled by the ruse but she agrees to hear David out. Can he persuade her to take him back?
Teresa (Karen Henthorne) is still playing the dutiful wife and rustles up dinner for Jerry (Michael Starke) and Finlay (Ramone Quinn) - curry for Jerry and a sandwich for Finlay. Finlay's not impressed with the sandwich and Teresa is horrified when Jerry tries to give him some of his curry - unaware that she has put one of his tablets in it. Meanwhile Jerry tries to convince her that she should move into his mate's flat.
Elsewhere Ken is feeling guilty about the way he has treated Deirdre but she is in no mood to forgive him and he realises he has got a lot of work to do.
This episode is written by Jonathan Harvey and directed by John Anderson. The producer is Kim Crowther.

Friday 15 August 7.30pm
Steve (Simon Gregson) has had a sleepless night worrying about Michelle (Kym Marsh) and her friend JD (Paul David-Gough). When he lets himself into the pub he is devastated to find them enjoying breakfast and he demands that JD leave the pub immediately. Michelle is furious and insists that she and JD are just old mates but Steve is having none of it. He tells her that she is out of order bringing him back and gives her an ultimatum - either they get back together or she moves out.
Tina (Michelle Keegan) is still avoiding David (Jack P Shepherd) and Jerry (Michael Starke) is less than impressed when David turns up at the kebab shop and orders 10 kebabs before putting stools in front of the door so she can't escape. Furious that he has shown her up at work she books an appointment at his salon in town and exacts her revenge.
Elsewhere Molly discovers that Auntie Pam (Kate Anthony) has started a pickle business in their kitchen and Jerry is starting to feel the effects of Teresa's poisoning.
This episode is written by Mark Wadlow and directed by John Anderson. The producer is Kim Crowther.
*****
Friday 15 August 8.30pm
David's (Jack P Shepherd) bosses are furious as Tina (Michelle Keegan) continues to show him up and make a scene in front of the salon clients. Tina is delighted to have got her own back but David ends up getting the sack and they both find themselves thrown out onto the street. Standing in the street with wet hair Tina is amused at first but when realisation dawns she storms off leaving David jobless and heartbroken once more.
Michelle (Kym Marsh) is stunned by Steve's (Simon Gregson) ultimatum but he explains that their fall out is hurting the kids and if she can't forgive and forget then she and Ryan (Ben Thompson) must move out by the end of the week. Ryan overhears and is devastated giving Michelle food for thought. Later Becky (Katherine Kelly) gives her come advice and tells her Steve is a good bloke and it would be a shame to throw it all away for one little mistake. Will Michelle agree to give Steve a second chance?
Jerry (Michael Starke) is pleased when Ashley (Steven Arnold) arrives with meat for some dinner but Teresa (Karen Henthorne) is not best pleased when Ashley offers to cook the meat in a casserole. Keen to continue with her bid to poison Jerry she waits until Ashley leaves before crushing a pill into the food.
Elsewhere Molly (Vicky Binns) loses her engagement ring and Gail (Helen Worth) and Joe (Reece Dynsdale) enjoy a secret date.
This episode is written by Lucy Gannon and directed by John Anderson. The producer is Kim Crowther.

I loved yesterday's episodes. I love Molly and Tyrone and how they proposed. The 'where'd you put the batteries' line was hilarious!
But now..it's time for another installment of 'Tango Watch'.
In today's installment we have 3 tanning miscreants to look at! Our first case is serial offender tan man, David Platt! Today's tan was a lot lighter then the previous episode. Our rating is 'Mild Bronze, more Chavvy fake tan needed!'
The second case is the missus of david who is always ready to chav it large, It's Tina! Tina was postively blinding us with her tan on friday, so much so i couldn't look at the screen directly out of fear of my eyes being burnt out! Our rating is 'Radioactive Bronze, Jodie Marsh!'
Our final offender is the elusive hairdresser/detective/crimefighter that is Audrey Roberts! As anyone could see Audrey was definately abusing her salon powers with her tan this week! Audrey how can you fight crime if you light up Manchester like a christmas tree? Our rating is 'Deep Bronze, Holy smokes Batman! Her tan is blinding me!'
That's all for Tango Watch! G'night Folks!
Scarlett.

Inside Soap is dropping large hints that we can call off the betting about who is going to kill Liam Connor in Coronation Street. Looks like it'll be Tony Gordon - but the question is, how? Will he do the grisly deed himself, or find a way to manipulate someone else?
Samia Smith (Maria) says she hopes that, of the three possible versions being filmed (why is it always three?), "one of them is Maria stood over Liam with an axe! There are loads of twists and turns, and Maria's going to be right in the middle of it. I've even heard she'll have to watch her own back in the months following Liam's murder."

Love rat John Stape returns to the street and straight into a sensational kidnapping storyline which sees him become the soap's biggest bad guy.
The teacher's murky past saw him involved in a love triangle with girlfriend Fizz Brown and pupil Rosie Webster.
But the character, played by Graeme Hawley, got his comeuppance when his two-timing was revealed leading Kevin Webster to beat him up for getting involved with his 16-year-old daughter.
Now John is back on the street and determined to win back ex-girlfriend Fizz whatever it takes.
The former teacher who is now a taxi driver, inherits a isolated farmhouse when his grandmother dies.
First he persuades ex-girlfriend Fizz (Jennie McAlpine) to spend the night at the farmhouse, then his attention returns to ex-lover Rosie (Helen Flanagan).
The plot will see him kidnapping Rosie and holding her hostage in what are expected to be shocking scenes for the soap.
Graeme Hawley, who plays John, told the Coronation Street website: 'He's decided he's going to do whatever it takes, so he comes back with one express purpose, which is he's going to win Fizz back.
'He's not quite sure how he's going to do it but he's going to do it.'

They film 3 to throw us off. But the fact is, they know the ending that they are going to use, don't believe all the last minute rubbish. They only film subsequent scenes once so any references made after the event have to be accurate, so they obviously know which to choose.
Scarlett.
29-07-2008, 07:58 PM
Yah lol (Emmerdale actually filmed 13 endings to the Tom King murder though, and never used any in the programme)
Thats it corrie scrap the barrel.
Scarlett.

lol Corrie scraping the barrel?
As soon as they have a actual actiony storyline they get slated, yet EE has murders a plenty and HO well...
Also the axe thing was a joke by Samia Smith, not an actual stoyline

Audrey Roberts' trip to France with Janice, Bill and Roger ends up in A&E when the hairdresser is forced to drive the van.
The trip goes to plan until they get a puncture, giving Janice and the fellas the perfect excuse to tuck into their lager haul while they wait for recovery.
By the time the vehicle's roadworthy again Audrey is the only one sober enough to take the wheel.
Actress Sue Nicholls told TV Times: "Everyone's being a bit lairy and Janice keeps criticising Audrey's driving.
"When Bill has a go at her as well, that's the last straw, and Audrey turns round to give him a mouthful...
"But she takes her eyes off the road and has to swerve to avoid another vehicle and the van plunges down a verge."
While the drunkards escape almost unhurt, Audrey's injuries are more serious and she's rushed to hospital.

EVEN Corrie is not safe from Britain's yob culture, as it shows a sickening and vicious gang attack on two female cops.
Policewoman Abi Sharpe (Rachael Elizabeth) is left half-blind from the savage beating, and is unable to return to her job.
Her colleague Mel Morten (Emma Edmondson) is also battered, and plots revenge against the women who attacked them.
The scenes are the most violent in Corrie's history.
Click here for pictures of the bloody brawl

“This storyline is very ugly indeed and could clearly be very upsetting to watch,” says an insider.
The fight starts after Mel and Abi try to break up a drunken argument between four girls outside a Weatherfield bar.
But the chavs turn on the policewomen, kicking and punching them, and breaking a bottle over Abi's head.
Abi suffers permanent eye damage, and faces a lifetime of desk work or a new career.
This infuriates her friend Mel, who is determined to punish the female gang.
Mel warns her brother Darryl (Jonathan Dixon), “I watched the scraggy bitch laugh as she stuck the boot in to Abi’s face and then laugh again when we had to release her.

Coronation Street screens at ITV1 at 7.30pm on weeknights
Scarlett.
30-07-2008, 05:11 PM
From DailyMail By Simon Cable
It certainly can't be accused of shying away from controversy.
But after almost five decades on air, Coronation Street is set to deliver its biggest shock yet with gratuitous scenes of girl-on-girl gang violence.
It is the first time that the popular programme has depicted a 'happy-slapping' style attack among female characters.
And the scenes are made all the more appalling after appearing to capitalise on the fears of escalating teen violence across Britain's streets.
It is a new low for the programme with some fans now demanding an end to the increasingly aggressive scenes featured in the long-running soap.
Fansites were today attracting angry comments from viewers with some even accusing the show of encouraging violence among teenagers.
The episode will be screened in September and will be aired before the 9pm watershed.
It shows four young women setting upon undercover police officers Mel Morton and Abi Sharpe in an unprovoked attack after the pair are sent to investigate trouble at a local bar.
They are beaten with fists, kicked and stamped on and even have glass bottles smashed over their heads.
One vicious assailant shows no-mercy as she brutally stamps on Abi's head as she lays helpless and unconscious on the pavement before being left for dead.
Fans flooded internet forums today with one saying: "A Corrie catfight is one thing. It's a bit of a classic scenario to watch Eileen and Gail or Janice and anybody squaring up to each other across the cobbles.
'But isn't all the violence on Coronation St getting a bit much? It seems there isn't an argument that can't be settled without someone getting slapped or punched.
One who called himself Quiteman said: 'The writers of Corrie have for the last year or so been sending out all the wrong signals to our youngsters.
'I have been an avid fan for forty plus years but am now minded to switch to another soap. Kids think they can get away with murder after watching it. It's gone on too long.'
The timely storyline on this occasion comes comes amid concerns of escalating knife-crime and fears that many urban areas are becoming no-go areas at night.
Another wrote: 'It seems like the times when Corrie have tried to get "real". Like the mid-90s when drug dealers beat Des Barnes to death. A lot of viewers tune out.
'It's a cop-out to say they are doing this to show realism. They want drama pure and simple.'
Broadcast regulator Ofcom today revealed it had received one pre-transmission complaint over the violence featured in an upcoming episode of Coronation Street.
A spokesman said: 'It is the broadcaster's responsibility to adhere to the Ofcom broadcasting code. If we receive complaints from viewers after the broadcast then we will consider them.
'We have had one pre-transmission complaint but we don't have any power to act until after the programme has been shown and until then we can't comment on specific aspects.'
Ofcom guidelines state violence 'must be appropriately limited in programmes broadcast before the watershed or when children are particularly likely to be listening'.
It adds violence easily imitable by children should not be shown before the watershed 'unless there is strong editorial justification'.
Since the programme first hit British television screens in 1960, the ITV show has caused a public outcry from viewers on a number of occasions.
In 1977, writers came under fire after actress Anne Kirkbride's character Dierdre was molested and almost raped on the way home from an exercise class.
Last year, programme-makers were accused of copying the case of Madeleine McCann too closely after the disappearance of a child in a housefire.A night out on the town turns into a life and death ordeal for Mel Morton and her friend WPC Abi Sharpe, played by Emma Edmondson and Rachael Elizabeth respectively.
The pair are set upon by a gang of teenage girls who beat them black and blue in an unprovoked attack.
The random violence plaguing Britain's streets is coming to Coronation Street in shocking scenes that are set to stun viewers.

CORRIE legend Johnny Briggs was asked to leave his local boozer after a cheeky bid to make his Street comeback — from beyond the grave.
Johnny — killed off as Mike Baldwin in 2006 — was enjoying a pint when the show’s crew arrived to shoot a girl gang fight scene.
Up in smoke ... Johnny Briggs' return bid failed
Up in smoke ... Johnny Briggs' return bid failed
The actor asked if he could appear in the background for a joke but the techies politely asked him to make himself scarce.
A show source said: “They were filming in Johnny’s local and everyone was stunned to see him.
Chat
“They went over to chat and Johnny asked if he could stay in the background drinking — he thought it would be funny.
“But they said there was no way he could be in shot as they would get in trouble, so he went home with a takeaway.” Johnny, 72, has a penthouse near the Lime Bar in Manchester’s trendy Salford Quays.
He announced he was quitting the ITV1 soap in 2005 — admitting the hectic schedule was too much.
Baldwin was killed by a heart attack in the street after battling Alzheimer’s. The source added: “Johnny’s always had a sense of humour — but we couldn’t raise Baldwin from the grave.”
The Sun told yesterday of the harrowing scenes shot in and around Johnny’s local.

I hate it when people complain I was reading about a group of mothers that complained that it would influence kids to violence and I thought Well if you raised your children properly they'd know the difference between TV and Reality wouldn't they?
I'm sick of people turning TV, Films, Games and other forms of media into a scapegoat for violence.

Tony's (Gray O'Brien) had enough of people getting in the way of his business plans and when he shows Jason (Ryan Thomas) his latest acquisition - a street of terrace houses he hints there's just one remaining tenant to sort out. Knocking on Jed Stone's (Kenneth Cope) door it's clear he's not welcome but Tony forces his way in before offering Mr Stone more money to leave. He's defiant, claiming he won't be moved but when Tony's manner becomes more threatening will he cave under the pressure? Meanwhile, when Kevin (Michael LeVell) gets a breakdown callout, which ends up being a hoax and a ruse to steal his truck, it looks like it could be the work of a determined Tony.
At the Rovers Michelle's (Kym Ryder) looking forward to her trip to Belgium. Steve's (Simon Gregson) not happy about her going but tries to cover. However when Liz (Beverley Callard) suggests she only got back with him so she had someone to babysit Ryan while she's on tour it sets Steve thinking. How will Michelle react when tackled and with Roy (David Neilson) back on the street to witness the couple's ongoing dispute is Steve's fling with Becky (Katherine Kelly) about to be revealed?
A nervous Molly (Vicky Binns) tries to hide her ringless finger from Tyrone (Alan Halsall). But when she still can't find it Auntie Pam (Kate Anthony) declares it must have got lost in one of her pickle jars and the search begins.
Elsewhere Sean (Antony Cotton) worries about his relationship as Marcus (Charlie Condou) heads off to London to train as a botox practioner and Gail (Helen Worth) continues her secret liaison with Joe.
This episode was written by Martin Allen, produced by Kim Crowther and directed by Tony Prescott.

PI for the rest of the week follows:
Monday 18 August 8.30pm
Kevin (Michael LeVell) almost comes to blow with Tony (Gray O'Brien) when he accuses him of organising the hi-jack of his pick-up truck. He denies all knowledge and Kevin turns to the police. But he's furious to be told he can't go around accusing people without any proof. With his business left in a bad way Kevin's forced to tell Tyrone he might have to cut his hours. Meanwhile when Tony pays Mr Stone (Kenneth Cope) another visit his mood is menacing and we see the fear in the old man's eyes. As the row intensifies Jed collapses, will Tony call for an ambulance or will he seize his opportunity to get rid of him for good?
Back on the street Steve (Simon Gregson) and Michelle (Kym Ryder) continue to bicker about her tour but when Steve finally apologises for his behaviour the tension starts to ease. Elsewhere when Roy (David Neilson) tells Becky (Katherine Kelly) to live her life as she sees fit and he'll no longer interfere it looks like Steve and Becky may get away with their indiscretion.
As Auntie Pam (Kate Anthony) searches through the jars of pickle Molly's (Vicky Binns) hopes of finding her engagement ring are fading. She's about to confess to Tyrone (Alan Halsall) but when he reveals Kevin may be cutting his hours will she be able to bring herself to add to his bad day?
And when Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) allows John (Graeme Hawley) to help mend her DVD player it looks like he could be gradually breaking down her defences.
This episode was written by Mark Burt, produced by Kim Crowther and directed by Tony Prescott.

Wednesday 20 August 7.30pm
Tony's (Gray O'Brien) business plans seem to be coming together and as he pays Jason (Ryan Thomas) and Tyrone (Alan Halsall) to clear Mr Stone's (Kenneth Cope) house he plans for the day's grand opening of the Victoria Street flats. At the house Tyrone notices food in the fridge and money lying around, he feels uneasy about boarding up the property but Tony convinces him he'll be taking Mr Stone all his belongings. At the hospital Tony's mood is dark and when Mr Stone tells him to shove his cheque Tony lifts a pillow to the old man's face. Is Tony about to snap?
Meanwhile as the opening of the flats gets underway glasses are raised to Tony the 'winner'. But as a jubilant Tony takes his guests around the show flat Kevin (Michael LeVell) is left to ponder Rita's (Barbara Knox) warning that Tony won't stop until he puts him out of business.
Elsewhere with the pickle search turning up nothing Molly (Vicky Binns) decides to tell Tyrone (Alan Halsall) the truth about the lost ring. But as she braces herself to confess Tyrone springs a surprise of his own on his fiance.
At the Battersby's, Chesney (Sam Aston) isn't happy when he hears John (Graeme Hawley) has been hanging around Fiz (Jennie McAlpine), and Julie (Katy Cavanagh) asks Fiz to get her a job at the factory.
This episode was written by David Lane, produced by Kim Crowther and directed by Tony Prescott.

Friday 22 August 7.30pm
Chesney (Sam Aston) wants to know what's happening between Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) and John (Graeme Hawley). Fiz promises him there's nothing going on but Chesney's not convinced. Later as he takes Kayleigh (Jessica Barden) out to the park a boy called Kenzie starts causing trouble. Standing up for his girl Chesney starts to fight but Kenzie is getting the better of Chesney and John arrives just in time to break up the scrap. His good deed done John's sure this will win him brownie points with Fiz but back on the street Chesney tells Fiz a different story.
As Tony (Gray O'Brien) continues his plan to force Kevin (Michael LeVell) to sell him the garage he turns on the charm with Rosie (Helen Flannagan). Convincing her it will be in her dad's best interest he asks her to help him.
David (Jack P Shepherd) invites Tina (Michelle Keegan) to a music festival. But when she turns him down he asks Amber (Nikki Patel) instead. Will his ploy to make Tina jealous work?
Elsewhere Julie (Katy Cavanagh) gets a job at the factory and when Norris (Malcolm Hebden) finds an envelope at Emily's (Eileen Derbyshire) titled 'to be opened after my death' will he be able to resist temptation?
This episode is written by Peter Whalley, produced by Kim Crowther and was directed by Tony Prescott.

Friday 22 August 8.30pm
A furious Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) storms across the road, accusing John (Graeme Hawley) of beating up Chesney (Sam Aston) she gives him a slap. Stunned John denies this and when Kayleigh (Jessica Barden) backs him up Fiz is forced to apologise. When she then confronts Chesney he reveals the truth, claiming he was worried John's getting to her again. Fiz promises she'd never be so stupid as to give him a second chance but it's clear this promise is going to be hard to keep and when she takes John for a drink to apologise the pair start to forget their past. Will John take his chance as Fiz lets her guard down?
When Tyrone (Alan Halsall) can't get in touch with his mum to wish her happy birthday he starts to worry. It appears she's back from Spain but nobody knows where she is. Eventually Tyrone gets hold of her on the phone but something in her manner leaves him feeling uneasy. Molly (Vicky Binns) decides it's time they paid the legendary Jackie Dobbs a visit.
At the Platts, David's (Jack P Shepherd) plan looks like it might be working when Darryl (Jonathon Dixon) reveals Tina's (Michelle Keegan) gutted that he's taking Amber (Nikki Patel) to the festival instead of her. Meanwhile Gail (Helen Worth) and Joe (Reece Dinsdale) enjoy another secret date.
Elsewhere Marcus (Charlie Condou) gets an earful from Sean (Antony Cotton) on his return from London and Emily (Eileen Derbyshire) lets Norris (Malcolm Hebden) read the contents of the secret envelope.

I liked tonight's episodes. I do think that the Audrey storyline was a bit daft though. Anyway, does anyone else think Amber should get some more storylines? I think shes great and shes soooo underused.

CORRIE’S resident wild child Rosie Webster comes face to face with her teacher lover John Snape - as he roughly bundles her into a car.
Rosie (Helen Flanagan), 18, stunned her family by embarking on the illict affair with seedy Snape behind the back of his girlfriend Fiz Brown.
And it ended in tears on Christmas Day when her fuming dad Kevin (Michael Le Vell) discovered the fling and beat Snape to the ground - ending up beind bars.
The teacher-turned-cabbie, played by Graeme Hawley, has recently made a comeback to the ITV1 soap, but is horrified when he spots sexy Rosie drunkenly snogging a hunk in the street during a boozy night out.
A show insider said: “Snape grabs Rosie and pushes her into his cab before whisking her back home - but she is upset by his behaviour, especially as she was simply getting close to her new beau Saj.”
Looks like a case of the green-eyed monster to us - wonder what other exploits jealous Snape has up his sleeves...

LIVID Liam Connor sets out to destroy the knicker factory by setting up a rival firm called Ladrags.
He is furious that he has been forced to sell his Underworld share at a knockdown price to wheeler-dealer Tony Gordon and is determined to make him pay.
Liam – played by Rob James-Collier, 31 – decides to launch his new budget fashion company with his cousin Tom Kerrigan, specialising in men’s T-shirts.
His game plan is to build up the Ladrags empire then take ultimate revenge by moving back into his old premises to manufacture his brands.
First Liam sets up his business from home, and with the help of Tom (Philip McGinley) soon starts to bring in lucrative contracts.
The business does so well that it is not long before his sister-in-law Carla Connor (sexy Alison King, 35) secretly invests money into the project to secure a piece of the action.
But all three are only too aware there will be hell to pay if Tony (Gray O’Brien, 39) ever finds out that Carla is involved.
Liam is being killed off from Corrie this autumn after actor Rob decided to quit Weatherfield.
“Liam’s sights are set firmly on getting back the factory and booting Tony out,” revealed an insider.
“He can’t wait to have the name Ladrags over the door. And getting Carla on board is a big step towards achieving what he wants.”

Coronation Street star Alison King and her boyfriend Adam Huckett have announced that they are expecting their first child.
King, who plays superbitch Carla Connor on the ITV1 soap, confirmed that she is "over the moon" and eagerly anticipating the arrival of the baby in February.
"Both Alison and Adam are so excited, they can't believe their luck. It's all they are talking about," a source close to the couple told The People. "Alison is just over the three month mark and is relieved that everything is fine."
A Coronation Street spokesperson said: "Alison and Adam are over the moon - they're thrilled and delighted."
The actress started dating sound technician Huckett in early 2007, shortly after ending her engagement to London's Burning star Jim Alexander.
