EEE by gun! Coronation Street bosses have come up with a plot involving the cold-blooded slaughter of screeching birds.
What do you think? Leave your comments below
But don’t worry. Janice Battersby and Liz McDonald aren’t being written out just yet.
The birds in question are seagulls—and it could be their blood raining down on the famous cobbles.
ITV chiefs are considering moving the show from its central Manchester base to waterfront location MediaCityUK at nearby Salford Quays.
But a show source told us: “The problem there is the seagulls that make loads of noise.
Poisoning
SAFE: Corrie's Liz
SAFE: Corrie's Liz
“Even one seagull caught on camera would look ridiculous. Weatherfield is supposed to be in Manchester where you mainly get pigeons. The other problem is the costs they could incur. If one flies into the scene they would have to re-shoot, wasting time and money. In meetings there have been some ideas such as poisoning them or hiring a marksman to shoot them.”
The source explained why the famous ITV soap was considering the move. “Currently the indoor filming is done in two studios which are around 400 yards apart which causes logistical problems.
“The knicker factory and Rovers are indoors in one set and the other indoor sets are in a separate warehouse. Part of the outside set is also separated by a wall. They would love to use a vast warehouse for indoor scenes and have outdoor scenes on one continuous set.”
An ITV spokesman confirmed: “We are continuing to examine the available options regarding ITV’s Manchester base.”

CORRIE killer Tony Gordon goes from murderer to midwife this summer when he delivers Maria Connor’s baby on the BEACH.
The factory boss ordered the murder of Maria’s husband, his love rival Liam Connor.
But he has been cosying up to her since his wife Carla left him after hearing what he had done. Maria (Samia Smith) accused him of the murder plot, but charmer Tony (Gray O’Brien) convinced her he was innocent.
Then he starts to fall for her and they drive to the beach for a romantic day trip.
Delivery ... twisted Tony
Delivery ... twisted Tony
As they walk Maria feels her contractions begin and her waters break. Panicking, she says: “Oh God, I think the baby’s coming.”
But Tony keeps his cool and carries her to a deserted strip of beach, where she gives birth. An insider said: “At this point Tony and Maria aren’t lovers but it’s not long after the baby’s born they realise their real feelings.
“Maria had a miscarriage not long ago. Delivering her baby makes Tony a hero in her eyes.”
And it’s not long before twisted Tony has set his heart on a new dream — making a family with Maria and the baby.
Our insider added: “What Tony gets, Tony wants. He’s ruthless and now Carla’s off the scene he’s determined to have Maria — and Liam’s baby.”

ITV Global Entertainment has today announced a deal with Amazon Video On Demand which will see the UK's longest running soap Coronation Street made available on-demand in the US.
200 episodes of the Weatherfield soap, which aired between Christmas 2007 and July 2008, will be rolled out by the end of the month, while a further 20 episodes will be added to the collection every month thereafter.
It is envisaged that US viewers, who will be able to buy the content for 50c per episode, will be viewing episodes of Corrie within one week of UK transmission by the autumn.
John Norman, senior vice president of international sales at ITV Global Entertainment in the US, said: "We'll be working closely with Amazon to effectively schedule new episodes, bringing US fans in line with the latest UK storylines by autumn 2009. The debut perfectly compliments our ITV catalogue on Amazon.com, which proudly showcases the very best in UK programming."
Jason Binks, vice president of digital and new media at ITV Global Entertainment, added: "This is a superb collaboration and one that we're all delighted with. The deal is a great example of our multi-channel approach, strategically bringing our much loved quality programming to a global audience."
It is understood that if there is a demand for such a move, all archived episodes from December 1960 may be made available in the same way.
ITV programming first appeared in the US via Amazon Video On Demand last year, with 450 hours of the network's programming having already been made available. Shows include Cold Feet and Inspector Morse, among others.
There are currently no plans to make full archive episodes available on-demand in the UK.

FRIENDS fear for Coronation Street star Bev Callard after she dramatically took time off.
Sources close to the normally bubbly actress said they were worried after discovering she has not been at the TV studios for over a week.
One said last night: “We have no idea when she’ll be back. She is talking to very few people at the moment and we’re obviously desperate to know she is OK.”
Bev, 51, who plays Rovers landlady Liz McDonald, suffered severe money troubles after her dream of running a real-life pub turned into a nightmare.
She and her partner Jon McEwan poured hundreds of thousands into the venture but still ended up having to close after facing the threat of bankruptcy.
Stress
The couple worked long hours to make the pub a success — yet Liz was still having to get up at 5am to be on Corrie’s set by 7am.
The source added: “It has taken its toll. We knew she had terrible financial problems, which must have been a stress.
“It is awful to see her like this because she is such a bubbly, warm woman. But I am sure she will be OK because she is a fighter.”
Bev told two months ago how she was left devastated after The Gallery in Hale Barns, Cheshire, collapsed.
The final straw came when a brewery representative turned up with a demand for £59,000 in unpaid rent.
Bev was forced to lay off former on-screen son Nick Cochrane — Andy — who she hired to run the restaurant.
She and Jon had put £200,000 into the pub and spent £50,000 on renovations plus tens of thousands more to keep it afloat.
Bev said recently: “The pub was a black hole which took all our cash and all our time. We couldn’t cope any more.”

Joe (Reece Dinsdale) is feeling pressure from all sides. David (Jack P Shepherd) wants him to give him his job back now he has the new kitchen contract but Joe is worried that he hasn't even got the cash to buy the raw materials for the job. Gail (Helen Worth) tries to help Joe out but he is too proud to accept and throws the offer back in her face. Eventually Joe can take no more and decides to pay Len (Conor Ryan) a visit to get the deal back on track - just as David walks in and finds them shaking hands.
Leanne (Jane Danson) tells Janice (Vicky Entwistle) that she has decided to accept the restaurant manager's job in Leeds in order to get away from Peter (Chris Gascoyne). Janice is upset as is Peter who infuriates Leanne by getting Simon (Alexander Bain) to beg her to stay. Upset at Simon's childish pleas Leanne says a tearful goodbye and leaves Weatherfield.
Becky (Katherine Kelly) is determined to do everything right in the run up to her wedding and tells Steve (Simon Gregson) that she has decided not to have a hen night as she doesn't trust herself - opting instead for a quiet night in with Roy and Hayley.
Elsewhere Dev's (Jimmi Harkishin) Uncle Umed (Harish Patel) arrives from India and Liz (Beverly Callard) offers a grateful Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) the cleaner's job at the Rovers.
This episode is written by Joe Turner and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Stuart Davids.

Monday 9 March 8.30pm
It's a night of tears, accustations and revelations at the Platts and by the end of the night Joe (Reece Dinsdale), David (Jack P Shepherd), Gail (Helen Worth) and Tina (Michelle Keegan) know a lot more about each other than they thought possible.
David is stunned when Len Windass (Conor Ryan) gleefully explains how he got Joe the kitchen contract in exchange for getting Tina to change her story in court. Furious David storms home and tells Gail and Tina about the bribe, but that's just the tip of the iceberg as first Tina's abortion secret is revealed followed by Joe discovering that David tried to kill his own mother and topped off with the news that Joe only moved in with Gail as he'd been evicted from his flat - can the two couples survive or will the house of cards come tumbling down with them all inside?
Uncle Umed is making himself at home and is surprised when he overhears a conversation between Tara (Ayesha Dharker) and Jason (Ryan Thomas). As the pair discuss Jason refitting Dev's (Jimmi Harkishin) shop to turn it into an art gallery Umed (Harish Patel) gets the wrong end of the stick and is convinced they are having an affair.
Peter (Chris Gascoyne) is still in a state following Leanne's departure and no amount of talking from Ken (William Roache) is going to make the situation any better.
Liz (Beverly Callard) tries to have a heart to heart with Lloyd (Craig Charles) about their relationship but ends up dumping him after he fails to convince her that he has no problem with their age difference.
This episode is written by Jonathan Harvey and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Stuart Davids.

Wednesday 11 March 7.30pm
Becky (Katherine Kelly) is counting the days till her wedding and amuses Steve (Simon Gregson) with her efforts to memorise her last few hours as a single woman. Having given in to Liz's insistence that she has a hen night Becky excitedly arrives at the Rovers with Hayley (Julie Hesmondhalgh) - just in time to hear half the pub, including Lloyd (Craig Charles), having a bet on the wedding not happening. Devastated she goes to find Steve who wastes no time in telling his mum and his best friend what he thinks of them and barring them from the wedding.
The fallout from the previous night is still being felt with Tina (Michelle Keegan) telling David (Jack P Shepherd) that it is over and Joe nowhere to be found. Unaware that Gail (Helen Worth) and her dad have actually split up Tina confides in Gail about her dad's previous problems with depression and asks her to take care of him whilst she is not around.
Ken (William Roache) tells Peter (Chris Gascoyne) that he has to stay off the booze and start behaving like a responsible adult for Simon's sake. Peter takes it on board and in a bid to prove that he is a good dad he buys Simon (Alexander Bain) a pet rabbit - but he's less than impressed by Simon's desire to call it Leanne.
Meanwhile Ken (William Roache) is feeling guilty about his kiss with Martha and tells Ted (Michael Byrne) about his turmoil. Ted tells him that he is going to have to make a decision about what he does next.
This episode is written by Mark Burt and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Stuart Davids.

Friday 13 March 7.30pm
It's Friday the 13th and Becky (Katherine Kelly) is determined to make sure her wedding day goes to plan. Liz (Beverly Callard) is desperately trying to apologise as Steve (Simon Gregson) gets ready at the pub but he insists that they are not welcome.
Keen to try and make ammends Liz (Beverly Callard) and Lloyd (Craig Charles) decide to prepare a surprise wedding reception for the happy couple.
Meanwhile over at Roy's Rolls Hayley (Julie Hesmondhalgh) and Natasha (Rachel Leskovac) are putting the finishing touches to the bride's dress, hair and make-up. Becky looks an absolute picture in her dream dress but her nerves start to get the better of her and she knocks back the champagne glass after glass. Slightly tiddly she panics that Steve is about to see her as she leaves and dashes to the builders' yard to hide but that's where things start to go wrong and as she rips her dress. Roy (David Neilson) and Hayley start to wonder if they will ever get her to the registry office on time!
Elsewhere Gail (Helen Worth) is worried about Joe (Reece Dinsdale) and shocked when she finds him dishevelled in the lock-up. Joe is overcome with emotion as she hugs him and asks him to come home.
Tara (Ayesha Dharker) shows Dev (Jimmi Harkshin) her extravagent plans for the art gallery, prompting him to suggest that they need to cut back on expenditure.
Luke (Craig Kelly), meanwhile, is trying to put pressure on Tom (Philip Mcginley) and Maria (Samia Smith) to sell him their share of Ladrags.
This episode is written by Chris Fewtrell and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Stuart Davids.

Friday 13 March 8.30pm
Roy (David Neilson) and Hayley (Julie Hesmondhalgh) are desperately trying to get Becky (Katherine Kelly) to the wedding but whilst they are at the factory trying to fix her dress she hears about the fight that Karen and Tracy had on the roof. High on champagne and adrenalin she heads for the roof and bursts into song spraying the street with champagne like a formula one winner.
Steve (Simon Gregson) meanwhile is getting increasingly worried about where his bride to be has got to and is relieved when she finally arrives at the registry office - even though she is having to be held up by Roy - and the couple prepare to tie the knot.
Back at the Rovers Liz (Beverly Callard) and Lloyd (Craig Charles) wait excitedly for the newlyweds to arrive and Liz is thrilled when Lloyd publicly announces that Liz is his girlfriend.
One couple still struggling to get things back to normal are Joe (Reece Dinsdale) and Gail (Helen Worth). She pleads with him to give the relationship another go and tells him she knows all about the depression but Joe doesn't seem to want to listen.
As Luke (Craig Kelly), Maria (Samia Smith) and Tom (Philip McGinley) meet to discuss the future of Ladrags Tony (Gray O'Brien) walks in and is angry to discover that his nemesis is trying to muscle in on that business too. Tony decides to offer Maria some business advice of his own and she is surprisingly receptive, apologising for thinking badly of him in the past.
This episode is written by Debbie Oates and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Stuart Davids.

CORRIE kidnapper John Stape is coming back to the soap — to marry Fiz behind bars.
The former teacher, who had a fling with pupil Rosie Webster before keeping her prisoner, will wed Fiz in jail after she forgives him for his crimes.
The pair split when Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) discovered he was giving 16-year-old Rosie (Helen Flanagan) private lessons of an intimate nature.
Forgiving ... bride-to-be Fiz
Forgiving ... bride-to-be Fiz
Eventually she forgave him but they split when deranged John (Graeme Hawley) confessed to kidnapping Rosie.
Fiz helped the terrified teenager to escape.
Despite his crimes, Fiz starts to forgive John when she receives love letters he has written from his prison cell.
Soon Fiz realises John is finding it hard to survive in jail, where he is serving a two-year sentence.
He is being bullied and beaten by other inmates, who regard him as no better than a sex offender.
Fiz is so determined to keep his spirits up that on one visit she proposes to him and he jumps at the chance of marrying her.
But John doesn’t want to wait till his release and so they agree to hold the wedding inside the prison.
Fiz isn’t sure at first whether to go ahead, but she is convinced by close friends that it would be the right thing to do.
Her pal Julie Carp (Katy Cavanagh) tells her: “Go for it, Fiz. It’ll be dead romantic.
“You can have the wedding in prison and then you can have a big party when John gets out.”

Coronation Street actress Jane Danson was reportedly rushed to hospital yesterday to give birth to her second child.
The 30-year-old - who plays bookie and former prostitute Leanne Battersby - was expected to give birth next month, making her the fourth cast member within a fortnight to welcome a new arrival to the family.
Her baby, however, is due to arrive slightly prematurely.
A source told The Sun: "Jane is in hospital and we are awaiting some exciting news any time now."
Earlier this month, Alison King (Carla Gordon) gave birth to her daughter Daisy Mae.
Meanwhile, Jack P Shepherd's (David Platt) partner Lauren Shippey also delivered a daughter, who has been named Nyla Rae.
Wanda Opalinska (Vicki Dankowska) gave birth to a healthy baby boy called Rafal within the same week.
Danson and her co-star husband Robert Beck (Jimmy Dockerson) already have a two-year-old son called Harry Alexander Jack, who was born in July 2006.
The only remaining expectant parent at Corrie is Graeme Hawley (John Stape), whose wife is due to give birth in June.

She was expecting the son with her actor-fiancé Jamie Lomas — Warren Fox in Hollyoaks.
A show source said: “Kym is devastated but wanted to get back to work and try and start getting back to normal.
“We’re very careful to make sure she doesn’t do too much. She’s been through so much. Her friends on the show are being an enormous source of comfort.”
Kym announced the end of her marriage to former EastEnders actor Jack Ryder last March.
She also has two children from a previous relationship.

The MEN says that filming on the Coronation Street set will stop tomorrow (4 March) as staff tune in to a video conference about ITV's financial situation. Job cuts are expected in non-production roles at Granada, as ITV has been affected by the global economic situation and the downturn in advertising revenue (down 30% in the first three months of this year).
There's also speculation that ITV could sell off some of the land it holds in Manchester, including the Quay Street offices and the Coronation Street set. An industry commentator said, "It is commonly felt that the head office and Coronation Street set is no longer fit for modern television." If this happens, production of Corrie could possibly be moved to the MediaCityUK development in Salford Quays.

We have to fund them.
If they aren't giving the public enough then why is BBC1 the most watched channel in the country?
Does about £2 a week really like a big hole in your pocket?

THE saga of Coronation Street’s possible move to Salford is nearing a conclusion.
At 7am today ITV announced it intended to axe 600 jobs and cut programme budgets.
And at 7.30am I took part in a long conference call with executive chairman Michael Grade and other ITV bosses.
As luck would have it, I was the first in line called to ask a question.
So I asked for the current thinking on the possible move of ITV Granada – including Corrie – from Manchester and the latest timescale for a decision.
Michael handed the question over to ITV chief operating officer John Cresswell.
In essence, it looks like – barring a change of heart or last minute hitch – Corrie will be moving.
Described in Mr Cresswell's answer as "the most valuable programme on British television".
ITV won’t be drawn on a timetable for their now long overdue decision.
But there is speculation we may finally learn either way in July.
Although full details of the job cuts have yet to be revealed, it appears Manchester will escape the worst of the axe.
With Countdown moving to Manchester from Leeds, where at least 150 jobs are to go.
And then on to Salford?
As discussed in this blog last month, it looks terminal for both Heartbeat and The Royal.
With the closure of ITV’s main studio site in Leeds, leaving just a few smaller units open.
Speculation that Emmerdale might also move to Manchester was always nonsense.
But aside from regional news, it’s all that’s left across the Pennines.
I also monitored an hour-long ITV webcast to investors this morning, again featuring Michael Grade and his team.
Not being a business journalist, I always find these financial presentations a little cold for my liking.
Especially when phrases like “reduced headcount” are used.
We must never forget that these are real people, with families, mortgages and fears for the future.
Not just items on a balance sheet.
People who may have given a large part of their life to ITV.
Some of whom were in tears this morning.

One of Coronation Street's romeos could be killed off in an emotional plot twist later this year.
Characters reportedly in the frame to be bumped off include Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), Ken Barlow (Bill Roache), Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin), Colin Grimshaw (Edward De Souza) and Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas).
A Corrie source told the Daily Star: "The death of one of the show's Lotharios will send shockwaves through Weatherfield and have repercussions for a long time to come.
"There are going to be quite a few women who will be devastated by the loss but fans are going to have to wait and see who it is."
They added: "Soap always has a period where it goes a little quiet but Coronation Street is steaming into fifth gear with some amazing stories."
Peter Barlow is rumoured to be about to embark on a romance with Michelle Connor (Kym Ryder), while his father Ken is currently wooing theatrical barge owner Martha Fraser (Stephanie Beacham).
Dev, meanwhile, continues to enjoy the company of Tara (Ayesha Dharker) and is about to open an art gallery for her, and ladies' man Colin persists in vying for the attentions of Kabin owner Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox).
Brickie Jason, meanwhile, will reportedly become involved with two of the Street's regular female characters, with one having surprising family connection.

Coronation Street favourite Bill Roache is gently easing himself back into work after the sudden loss of his wife Sara last month. This week he shot a touching farewell scene between his character Ken Barlow and an attractive divorcee he's grown close to, played by actress Stephanie Beacham.
The 76-year-old Weatherfield stalwart filmed the episode on a Manchester houseboat with Stephanie, previously known for her role on US TV series The Colbys.
His bereavement is among several devastating losses to hit the cast recently. Earlier this week Kym Marsh returned to work following the death of her prematurely born baby son Archie Jay.
Their colleague Antony Cotton – the series' Sean Tully – said: "We are all being as strong as we can and doing our very best to look after each other".

In April, John and Fiz are talking and her friends are concerned she will get back together with him.
Peter and Simon are trapped in the flat which has caught on fire. Tony rescues Simon and are both taken to hospital, fighting for their lives. Maria visits Tony in hospital and... well, the mag said "actions speak louder than words" - whatever that means.
Julie splits with Kirk and she and Jason comfort each other... in bed.
Becky and Steve's wedding takes place on Friday 13th (!)

CORRIE churchgoers end up hot under the collar after a trendy new vicar rolls into town — and starts blessing ANIMALS.
Touchy-feely Rev Peach (Nick Caldecott) is taking over from Rev Sedgley — and he’s got lots of modern ideas.
He soon ruffles feathers by blessing pets — including chickens, ponies and rabbits — on Easter Sunday.
And battleaxe Blanche Hunt (Maggie Jones) goes berserk after stepping in dog muck at the church.
She blasts: “Just look at me new Scholls. It’s more like Rolf Harris’s Animal Hospital in here. You’ll do anything to get people through them doors with your daft new-fangled ideas. Call yourself a vicar... you’re a disgrace.”
But Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) likes the vicar and decides to get baptised. She tells mum Sally he’s “brought Jesus into my life”.
Bosses are plotting some big storylines for the cleric — who likes to be called Reverend Rick.
An insider said: “We’ve decided to go back to basics and to the days when the local vicar was very much a part of daily life.
“But viewers may find there’s a darker side to Rev Rick.”
His first scenes air on April 12.

Following Oasis' Noel Gallagher's declaration that he would love to appear in ITV soap Coronation Street, a spokesperson for the show has suggested that the door could be open for him to appear.
Earlier today (March 13) Gallagher spoke of his love of the show, saying he'd be interested in replacing the David Platt character if he ever got "bumped off".
After hearing of the comment a Coronation Street spokesperson refused to rule out the possibility of the guitarist appearing on the show in some form.
"We're thrilled Noel watched us thinks we're cool," the spokesperson told NME.COM.
He added that it was "too early to say" whether Gallagher could ever make an appearance, but refused to confirm or deny that it could be a genuine possibility.

WEATHERFIELD will become a bloodbath when homicidal Tony Gordon goes on another killing rampage, we can reveal.
The murderer, played by hunky Gray O’Brien, will arrange the slaughter of his new boss Luke Strong (Craig Kelly) in a dramatic new plotline.
Show bosses have given popular actor Gray another 12-month contract to continue his rampage.
A Corrie source explained: “Tony already hates Luke, who has been given a controlling interest in Underworld by his runaway wife Carla.
“But when he starts lording it over his rival, Tony goes into an all-consuming rage.
“But Luke, still Carla’s mysterious confidant, may know a lot more than Tony bargains for. There will be doubts during the coming weeks that he may not be exactly who he says he is, and that there is an unknown agenda for him being at the factory.”
Scriptwriters are teeing Tony up for a final confrontation with absent wife Carla when actress Alison King returns from maternity leave this year.

God corrie take a year off...get some fresh ideas...:bored:

CORRIE star Alison King may cut short her maternity leave — to commit murder.
Soap bosses are begging her to return as factory femme fatale Carla Gordon in a new dramatic plot.
They want the new mum to become a killer just like her psychotic on-screen husband Tony. But Alison, 35, is still mulling over the early return. She and her Corrie sound technician boyfriend Adam Huckett are currently taking time out from the soap after the birth of their daughter Daisy Mae in February.
The shock new storyline sees Carla turn killer and Corrie chiefs need her back on screen sooner than planned.
A friend told TV Biz: “Alison couldn’t believe it when they asked her to come back early — it’s only weeks since she gave birth.”
The star was even more surprised when told Carla was about to become a killer.
However, she was relieved to discover Carla will only kill in self-defence.
Her character was last seen driving out of Weatherfield.
She had just heard Tony (Gray O’Brien) confess he had her lover Liam Connor (Rob James-Collier) killed in a staged hit-and-run so he could have her to himself.
Under the new storyline, Carla will return early from America where she secretly fled. Coronation Street insiders are keeping tight-lipped about who she will murder.
But they say the plot will involve some of the most exciting Corrie scenes ever.

When Peter then arrives to work late Michelle (Kym Marsh) can see the state he's in. Fed up with his drinking and being left to run the bookies herself Michelle tells him to stick his job. It's another bad day for Peter and when he gets home he hits the bottle once more, telling a worried Simon he doesn't feel up to reading him a story. As Simon trudges off to bed alone, at the Barlow’s Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) is urging Ken (William Roache) to accept that Peter's an alcoholic. His fingers loosen around his burning cigarette and it drops to the floor.

Dev’s inwardly cringing, knowing his previous pictures were bought by him not a customer. But Tara's furious with Dev when he tries to curb her enthusiasm.
Maria's (Samia Smith) annoyed that her plan to pair Natasha (Rachel Leskovac) off with Tom failed when Natasha arrives back on the street boasting about spending another fantastic night with Tony (Gray O'Brien). Struggling with her own irrational behaviour Maria's then frosty with Tony when he calls by to arrange a business meeting
Kirk (Andrew Whyment) tells Julie (Katy Cavanagh) how he plans to get a job and save up to get them a place of their own but it’s obvious Julie isn’t really interested. Kirk's disturbed by her attitude but ploughs on regardless.
And Eileen (Sue Cleaver) has Paula (Sharon Duce) round for lunch. But when Colin (Edward De Souza) interrupts Paula can't wait to get away. Eileen can't understand her friend's strange behaviour.

Ken blames himself for not recognising how serious Peter's drink problem has become as they wait to see if they're too late.
Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) defends Tara (Ayesha Dharker) whilst Umed (Harish Patel) derides her gallery and the amount of money Dev’s wasting on her. Minnie (Poppy Jhakra) then arrives with the three framed photos Dev asked her to buy. Panicking he tries to hide them but it’s too late as Tara arrives and clocks the artwork. Tara demands to know what Dev is doing with the photos and he’s forced to tell Tara how he secretly purchased them to cheer her up. Furious Tara packs her things and leaves feeling totally humiliated. Dev's gutted and when he bumps into Prem’s accountant Lisa (Ruth Alexander-Rubin) he pours his heart out over a drink. Dev's not moping for long though and with the alcohol pumping through his veins he invites Lisa back to his flat.
Kirk (Andrew Whyment) lets on to Chesney (Sam Aston) that he knows he’s been bunking off school. Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) confronts Chesney about skiving off class, asking if anything's wrong, but Chesney tries to play it down.
Maria (Samia Smith) tells Tony (Gray O'Brien) she wouldn't like to see Natasha (Rachel Leskovac) get hurt. It's an awkward moment as Tony assures her he doesn’t want to see anyone get hurt.

As Simon's (Alex Bain) life hangs in the balance Ken (William Roache) berates himself for not listening to Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) and tackling Peter’s (Chris Gascoyne) drink problem before it came to this. Peter's also devastated having spent a night-time vigil by Simon's bedside. As he prays for him to regain consciousness Peter vows to never drink again - all too aware that he nearly killed his own son who is not out of the woods yet.
Meanwhile Ken's had time to think about his own dark deeds and visiting Martha (Stephanie Beacham) he admits that he's a married man. Martha feels hurt and betrayed as she trembles with rage. Will Ken be able to plead his case?.
Back on the street Tara (Ayesha Dharker) turns up at Dev’s (Jimmi Harkishin) telling him she’s sorry she overreacted. Dev’s guilt-ridden knowing Lisa’s (Ruth Alexander-Rubin) in the bedroom. But as he arranges to meet her in the pub later to talk Tara’s none the wiser. Will he come clean about his one-night stand?
Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) drags Chesney (Sam Aston) to school against his will, despite his claims that he hates it. Fiz is furious with Chesney however when she discovers he’s been skiving again. She phones the headmaster to arrange a meeting but while she's making the call Chesney attempts a quick getaway.
Rita (Barbara Knox) tries to get Norris (Malcolm Hebden) to admit he doesn’t really want to go travelling with Mary but he’s adamant he’s looking forward to it.

Ted assures him it’s for the best and as Peter (Chris Gascoyne) returns home he tries to focus on his family promising his son he’ll be there to support him now.
Chesney (Sam Aston) admits to Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) he hates school because he’s being bullied by Kenzie (Jack Cooper). Fiz watches as Kenzie and his mates jump on Chesney. Fiz is furious and grabs Kenzie by the scruff of his neck. Mr Griffin (Roger Morlidge) calls them into his office. Fiz can’t understand why Mr Griffin refuses to believe Kenzie is a bully until he admits that he’s seeing Kenzie’s mum. In a fit of rage Fiz announces that Chesney is leaving school and will be home tutored from now on. But back at home Fiz regrets her hasty decision, wondering how on earth she’s going to educate Chesney.
Kirk (Andrew Whyment) shocks Julie (Katy Cavanagh) when he finishes with her. He explains how he’s worked out that she doesn’t love him any more and thinks he can do better. As he claims she bosses him around and never takes his ambitions seriously Julie can't deny it. Stunned to be the one who's dumped Julie packs her things and leaves. On the outside Kirk's in control but inside his heart breaks.

I work in a theatre, they were filming the Ken Barlow affair scene, I was so excited, I tried to sneak in but it wasn't working, and I work in an office/studio so I was nowhere near the action.
It all looked very epic, they made over the theatre, made it more grand than usual haha. They were filming in the audiotorium, in the bar, outside the theatre.

CORRIE bitch Rosie Webster is to land a huge windfall — from her KIDNAPPER.
Power-hungry Rosie goes on a spending spree with John Stape’s dosh.
But cocky Rosie soon becomes “Weatherfield’s most hated” after splashing cash on a sports car, designer gear — and a share in Underworld.
Disgraced teacher John (Graeme Hawley) sends her money from jail hoping it will make amends after he kept her banged up at his gran’s. The cash is from the sale of the house.
A source said: “John feels guilty. He thinks she’ll forgive him because of the money.
“He hopes it will mean he’s accepted back into Weatherfield when he’s let out of prison.”
But teen Rosie (Helen Flanagan) — who sold her story and posed for snaps to cash in on her kidnap — lets the bonanza go to her head.
The Underworld girls are seething when Rosie, an office assistant at the knicker factory, buys into the business after new boss Luke Strong (Craig Kelly) hits cash problems.
The insider said: “The factory girls are furious Rosie will suddenly become one of their bosses.
“And won’t she just let them all know it. She’ll become Weatherfield’s most hated overnight.”

Emmerdale is set to keep viewers glued to their seats in 2009 with a stunning line-up of new signings that will see the nation's favourite village re-vamped, re-ignited and raring to go. Leading the way is the explosive return of Charity Tate, as Emma Atkins reprises her role as one of the most memorable characters in Emmerdale’s history.
Charity will return in a blaze of controversy later this year to the shock of her daughter Debbie (Charley Webb) and ex-lover Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley). Charity was last seen in March 2005 fleeing the village with her son Noah after getting revenge on Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) by having an affair with her husband Jimmy (Nick Miles). Debbie was left heartbroken after begging her mum to stay and has been estranged from Charity ever since.
Charity’s return will follow the hotly anticipated return of Dales bad boy Cain Dingle next month and will throw the village into turmoil.
Emma Atkins says "Charity is a wonderfully complex character and an absolute joy to play. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to explore a new era of Charity, Cain and Debbie and will relish seeing what she’s been up to since we saw her last.”
Charity was famed for having the survival instincts of an alley cat and originally arrived in the village in March 2000 as a prostitute on the run. She became a key player in the Tate empire after marrying mogul Chris Tate. Her five year reign also included an affair with Zoe Tate and being framed for Chris’ murder. Charity then set her sights on millionaire Tom King, who she was due to marry until her arch rival Sadie tricked him into believing Charity was having an affair with Cain.
Gavin Blyth, Series Producer says "It's going to be an incredibly exciting year for Emmerdale with Charity and Cain back at the heart of the action. This is the first in a series of new signings and intriguing characters on the horizon and we're going to delight in reminding viewers that when it comes to compelling drama and commanding characters, Emmerdale is a force to be reckoned with."

It looks like Coronation Street's Dev Alahan will soon have something to hide.
The corner shop owner is set to have a fling with accountant Lisa Dalton, who he previously had a couple of disastrous dates with before he got together with Tara.
However, when his girlfriend finds out he paid for some of her gallery's artworks behind her back, she storms off in a huff.
Dev bumps into accountant Lisa again, pours his heart out over a few drinks and then invites her back to his flat.
Of course, few one-night stands in Weatherfield ever go off without a hitch, and Dev will have to think fast when Tara pops to his flat to apologise, not realising Lisa is hiding half dressed in another room.
Will Dirty Dev get found out, or will he do a 'Ken Barlow' and have an affair behind his partner's back?

TEARAWAY teen Victoria Sugden is set to make waves in Emmerdale — by announcing that she is PREGNANT.

Following the illicit encounter Daz (Luke Tittensor) gives Victoria, played by Isabel Hodgins, 15, the cold shoulder and goes off with girlfriend Scarlett.
The schoolgirl — who recently snogged Aaron Livsey (Danny Miller) — then tries to win Daz back by telling him she is having his child.
An ITV1 source said: “There’s always been something between Victoria and Daz and they finally do something about it. Victoria is over the moon she’s snared him but Daz has different ideas, leaving her seething.
“She convinces him he’s going to be a father but is she telling the truth?”

The Fawlty Towers actor - who was the victim of Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand's phone prank last year - strolled into the soap's Manchester studios today to start filming.
Sachs, 78, will play Ramsay Clegg, the half-brother of Norris Cole.
Ramsay is the illegitimate son of Norris's mother, who gave birth to him when she was a teenager.
After the phone scandal, the popular actor was reportedly inundated with offers of work.

Emmerdale now, where it's the week of Carl (Tom Lister) and Lexi's (Sally Oliver) wedding. On the morning of his nuptials, Carl works himself up into such a frenzy that he calls Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and asks her to meet with him at the cricket pavilion.
When they eventually come face to face, Carl tells Chas exactly how it is - if she says that she still loves him he'll call off the wedding. Chas is dumbfounded by what she's hearing and despite Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and Aaron (Danny Miller) weighing heavily on her mind, she's forced to make a difficult decision.
While Carl and Chas have a heart-to-heart, Lexi arrives at the church where Jimmy's (Nick Miles) forced to lie as to Carl's whereabouts. Lexi clearly doesn't buy the yarn she's been spun and immediately begins to worry that she's been jilted.
Will Chas come clean with Carl and reveal her true feelings? Or will she keep her true love for Carl stowed away for a rainy day?
Check back on Tuesday for my exclusive interview with Lucy Pargeter! Also, there's an extremely interesting new signing on the horizon, too. More on that one as and when I can.

Meanwhile Dev's (Jimmy Harkishin) at it again in Coronation Street. Just when you thought that he might just settle down with Tara (Ayesha Dharker), he has another fling. Sort of.
With her art gallery business a little slow (to say the least), Tara's excited when she finally sells three paintings to a London-based art dealer. What she doesn't know, however, is that Dev enlisted kebab shop worker Minnie (Poppy Jhakra) to fake the purchase over the phone.
Tara hits the roof when she eventually learns of her boyfriend's betrayal, and even packs her bags to move out of the flat. It's not long before Dev's seeking solace in the arms of another woman, though, when he bumps into Tara's father Prem's (Madhav Sharma) accountant, Lisa Dalton (Ruth Alexander-Rubin).
If you cast your mind back, we first met Lisa back in August when Dev was frequenting Prem's house, before his affair with Tara's mum Nina (Harvey Virdi) was exposed! Boy, Dev gets himself into some situations, doesn't he?!
I digress... So after having retired to the bedroom with Lisa, Dev finds himself in a tricky post-coital situation when Tara turns up at the flat to apologise. Little does Tara know that a half-dressed Lisa is a matter of feet away, hiding in the bedroom...

HERE is the hunk who puts Corrie smoothie Dev Alahan in a rage — by getting his girlfriend to strip.

Tara (Ayesha Dharker) insists the camera makes her feels sexy — and Justin (Ralph Gassmann) is not shy in egging her on.

But Dev (Jimmy Harkishin) gets the shock off his life when he walks in on her posing in the buff.
The angry shop owner gives her a public dressing down in the Rovers.
And he lays into Justin, suggesting the cheeky snapper is nothing more than a PORNOGRAPHER.
He tells him: “There’s a name for people like you who take pictures of naked woman, my friend, and it’s certainly not a photographer.”
But Dev’s anger also stems from his belief he should be the model, telling pals: “I have suddenly realised how fantastically photogenic I am.
“My face could sell stuff. I could even be on the front cover of a magazine.”
Deluded Dev even starts wearing ‘guyliner’ — eyeliner for men — in a bid to show off his good looks.
But Dev is in no position to rap Tara — as he puts the relationship in jeopardy by bedding his ex, Lisa.
Tara moves out after a row over the art gallery, but returns home to make up — and almost finds a half-naked Lisa in the flat.

Former Hollyoaks actor James Sutton has joined the cast of Emmerdale.
The 26-year-old, who starred as John Paul McQueen in the Channel 4 soap, is to take on the role of mechanic Ryan Lamb, son of Faye (Kim Thomson).
Ryan first appears in the village in June and quickly becomes entangled in his mother's revenge plot against Mark Wylde (Maxwell Caulfield), while also catching the attention of many of the local females, most notably Katie Sugden (Sammy Winward).
As Mark attempts to prevent the skeletons in his closet from emerging, Ryan's arrival makes the self-made millionaire realise just what his lies could cost him.
Speaking of his signing, Sutton said: "I'm thrilled to be joining a show as respected and well-loved as Emmerdale. It was always on in our house when I was growing up so I’m excited to be a part of it.
"I'm looking forward to playing such an interesting character and one so different from previous roles I've played."
Series producer Gavin Blyth added: "This year will spell a new era for Emmerdale and I'm delighted to be welcoming James to the cast as a key component in the new direction the show will be taking. James is an extremely talented actor and will bring a real presence to the role of Ryan."
Sutton is the fourth actor announced to be joining Emmerdale as part of the show's 2009 revamp. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Jeff Hordley will reprise his role as Cain Dingle at the end of April. At the same time, UK soap's first blind actress Kitty McGeever joins as Lisa Dingle's (Jane Cox) friend Lizzie Lakely.
Emma Atkins is also due to return as vixen Charity Tate.
Sutton announced his decision to quit Hollyoaks in June last year following his two-year stint as John Paul when the teen soap's McDean storyline reached its natural Sunset Ending resolve. His departure tied in with the brief return of Guy Burnet as Craig Dean.
At the end of last year, Sutton made a guest appearance as a narcoleptic in Casualty

Emmerdale’s series of new signings for 2009 continues with the casting of award-winning actor James Sutton to play Faye’s son Ryan Lamb in the ITV1 show.
James is best-known for his role as John Paul in Hollyoaks and will arrive on-screen in Emmerdale in June, when mechanic Ryan turns up in the village to stay with his mum after losing his job. Ryan quickly becomes embroiled in Faye’s (Kim Thomson) plot for revenge against Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) as Mark continues to face a battle to keep Faye’s identity under wraps, realising his secret past could blow his beloved family apart. Ryan turns the heads of the local ladies and soon becomes involved with Emmerdale favourite Katie Sugden (Sammy Winward).
James Sutton, 26, says: "I'm thrilled to be joining a show as respected and well-loved as Emmerdale. It was always on in our house when I was growing up so I’m excited to be a part of it. I’m looking forward to playing such an interesting character and one so different from previous roles I’ve played.”
In addition to his role in Hollyoaks for which he was shortlisted for Most Popular Actor at the National Television Awards in 2007, James’ previous acting credits include Casualty, Dream Team, and Trial and Retribution.
James’ casting is one in a series of new signings in place for Emmerdale. Last week it was announced that Emma Atkins will be reprising her much-loved role as Charity Tate later this year and further announcements will follow shortly, as the nation’s favourite village is re-vamped for 2009.
So far this year the Wylde family have taken the village by storm and viewers are already hotly anticipating the return of dales bad boy Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), who is set to recommence his reign in April. The wedding of Carl (Tom Lister) and Lexi (Sally Oliver) is on the horizon, with Chas (Lucy Pargeter) forced to face the prospect of the man she loves marrying her rival. Emmerdale has also recently announced the casting of the first blind actress to appear in a British soap when Kitty McGeever joins the cast as trouble-maker Lizzie Lakely next month.
Gavin Blyth, Series Producer, says: "This year will spell a new era for Emmerdale and I’m delighted to be welcoming James to the cast as a key component in the new direction the show will be taking. James is an extremely talented actor and will bring a real presence to the role of Ryan.”

Coronation Street actor Philip McGinley has finished filming with the soap, DS can confirm.
The 27-year-old, who has played Connor's cousin Tom Kerrigan since February 2008, shot his final scenes with the Manchester-based show last week, before attending his leaving party on Friday.
It is understood that producers decided to write Tom out of the serial drama as the character had 'come to the end of his line' and 'run his course'.
McGinley hinted that he may return to theatre, writing on his Twitter page in the early hours of this morning: "Trying to learn a bit of Shakespeare, it's a bit different to the stuff I've been saying in Weatherfield. Brain creaking slightly."
His exit storyline wraps up the plot surrounding Lad Rags, in which Tom owns a 25% share. The company will apparently be sold off to Tony (Gray O'Brien), leaving Tom with nothing to stay in Weatherfield for.
Since his first appearance, ladies' man Tom has flirted with Carla (Alison King) and Maria (Samia Smith), served as a catalyst for Marcus Dent's (Charlie Condou) departure, walked Ozzy the dog several times and witnessed his cousin Liam's (Rob James-Collier) death, which he blamed himself for.

CORONATION Street beer – it’s official.
From next month fans will be able to sup a Corrie pint, a nice chap at ITV told me today.
But there’s a catch.
The “quality draught ale” will only be available in the chain of pubs run by Manchester brewer JW Lees.
ITV has signed a new license which allows the brewer to create and distribute the 4.2 per cent cask ale.
You’d have thought Newton & Ridley might be quite bitter about this development.
But it seems not.
Back in the glory days of the now long gone Granada Studios Tour, you used to be able to buy all manner of Corrie merchandise.
I’ve still got some Rovers’ beer glasses in the kitchen, though the beer mats were, sadly, taken by the mice.
Did the Tours' shop also sell little bottles of beer?
I’m sure Flaming Nora or someone else nearest the bar will be able to refresh my memory.
As with all such corporate announcements, this one came adorned with statements from both sides.
Although we can only guess what Betty would make of these two hot pots:
JW Lees managing director William Lees-Jones said:
“We’re delighted to have signed this deal. Coronation Street is one of the most famous streets in the world. With our shared Manchester heritage, we’re excited to be teaming up with them to provide a premium quality draught ale which will be as complex and robust as a good Corrie plot line.”
While Gustavo Antonioni, Commercial Brands Director at ITV Global, no less, comments:
“We are dedicated to innovating highly engaging brand extensions that resonate with the core values and history of our television shows. We're looking forward to bringing more quality products to life for our programmes’ fans.”
Personally, my hopes are pinned on Becky Granger’s favourite quality product.
A three litre £1.99 bottle of Thunderclap cider, with a cheeky hint of corner shop marker pen.

THIS is the terrifying moment Corrie’s bookies is hit by a raging inferno.
Peter Barlow and his lad Simon are stuck inside.
Alcoholic Peter (Chris Gascoyne) starts the fierce blaze when he drops a cigarette after nodding off following a booze binge in the flat above the shop. He is woken by Simon (Alex Bain) but then falls on the lad trapping them both in the fume-filled building.
They pass out — but factory boss Luke Strong (Craig Kelly) and villainous Tony Gordon (Gray O’Brien) rescue the pair — along with their pet rabbit.
Simon is left fighting for his life. Days before the scenes air in the ITV1 soap on Monday, Peter’s step-mum Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) finds out he is back on the booze and tries to get Simon to stay with her and Ken.
But Ken (William Roache) says his grandson is best with his dad — only to be left feeling guilty after the fire.
An insider said: “Peter is devastated by what he has done.”

The source added: “It’ll be touch and go whether she goes down or not.”

But while her pals fear the worst, viewers will know that trashy Becky is INNOCENT.
The drugs will be planted on her by loser ex-boyfriend Slug — who is blackmailed into doing the dirty by bent copper DC Hooch.
The detective has held a grudge against Becky since she reported him for demanding a sex act from her when she was 15.
As soon as the drugs are in place, Hooch leads a police raid on the Rovers and finds the bar girl in possession.
He sneers at her: “Got you. Say goodbye to your new life Becky because this time you’re going down and I’ll make sure they throw away the key.”
Loyal Roy Cropper is convinced from the start that his former cafe employee has been framed and sets about trying to prove the truth.
But it turns out DC Hooch is not the only one in on the sinister plot.
The shock storyline is set to air on ITV1 this summer.
The source said: “There’s someone else involved too.
“Becky’s made many enemies during her time on the Street and it could be anyone of a number of people.”

CORRIE is rocked to the core when a popular old resident owns up to his under-age sex secret.
Rita’s new fancy man, Colin Grimshaw, is exposed as the secret dad of knicker-stitcher Julie Carp.
The shocking revelations will be screened in May when Colin – played by Edward De Souza, 77 – confesses to a gob-smacked Rovers Return that 20 years earlier he took advantage of 14-year-old schoolgirl Paula Carp and got her pregnant.
So Julie (Katy Cavanagh, 35) is his secret daughter.
Tearfully he confesses: “Yes it’s true. I seduced Paula when she was just a schoolgirl. And because she was so young people must be calling me all sorts.
“I suppose people will say I’m a kiddie-fiddler and a paedophile. And I suppose it’s true.
“But I was so flattered by this young girl’s attention that I never thought about it like that.
“I know I should have stopped it before it began, but I couldn’t help myself. I split up two families and caused everyone such terrible pain”
Colin’s daughter Eileen (Sue Cleaver, 42) who was Paula’s best friend at the time, is disgusted.
She remembers Paula suddenly moving away from Weatherfield with her parents.
But she never knew where she had gone, or why.
Eileen tells her pals: “He was nothing more than a middle-aged pervert back then. And now he is just a sick old man.”
Also sickened is his girlfriend Rita (Barbara Knox, 75) who had been seduced by his charms and was close to letting him move in with her.
A Street insider said: “The repercussions of this will destroy families - and friendships"

This thread used to have some standards! I can't believe you've merged them! Please put it back! It's like saying Coronation Street and Emmerdale are one of the same thing. You may as well have a single soap thread if you're gonna go down this slippery slope.

Tensions are bubbling under the surface as the Platts celebrate Easter. David (Jack P Shepherd) has hidden Joe’s (Reece Dinsdale) painkillers. Joe is frantically searching for them but when Tina (Michelle Keegan) arrives David immediately ‘finds’ the pills in the hope of impressing Tina. Joe’s left wondering if David took them in the first place but not wanting to make any more of a scene about his growing dependency he keeps his suspicions to himself. Audrey (Sue Nicholls) however has no such intentions and tells Joe exactly what she thinks of him, accusing him of sponging off Gail (Helen Worth) and simply using her. Gail’s furious and throws Audrey out. As it all goes off David presents Tina with an Easter egg with the details of a new flat hidden in the middle of it. How will Tina react as David tells her the flat is for them?
Peter (Chris Gascoyne), Simon (Alex Bain), Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) and Blanche (Maggie Jones) attend the Easter service at church, taking Leanne the rabbit along for the pet blessing. Ken’s (William Roache) scathing about their Christian beliefs and tries to teach Simon the theory of humanism but when Simon asks if his mother is in heaven even Ken is silenced.
Meanwhile Ken hears a radio advert for a play in which Martha is performing. He tells Ted (Michael Byrne) he might go along to see it. Ted warns him it’s a bad idea. Ken knows it but will his emotions get the better of him?
After the jibes about his age Kevin (Michael LeVell) challenges Tyrone (Alan Halsall) to a race to prove he’s fitter than him. Kevin wins easily and tells Jason (Ryan Thomas) he wants to sign up for the 10k fun run. Molly (Vicky Binns) signs up too.
And Sophie (Brooke Vincent) tells Sally (Sally Whittaker) she wants to get herself christened.
This episode is written by Mark Wadlow and produced by Kim Crowther, the director by David Kester.

When he spots Bill (Peter Armitage) eyeing Gary suspiciously as he hangs round the builders yard he forms his revenge plan. Tom (Philip McGinley) decides that if Maria’s (Samia Smith) running business decisions by Tony (Gray O’Brien), he’ll run them by Luke (Craig Kelly). As Dev begs an angry Lisa not to tell Tara the truth it looks like someone‘s about to beat her to it. Shocked by his nerve Poppy reveals that Dev and Lisa have been in the Rovers before and as more than friends.

Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) tells Ken (William Roache) that Tracy has asked to see Amy. Ken thinks they should wait until Amy’s older but Peter (Chris Gascoyne) disagrees, claiming it’s better being honest and open, a remark clearly intended for Ken. Battling his emotions Ken tells Peter he’s trying to salvage his marriage and asks for a little support. But will Peter let this one lie?
When Teresa (Karen Henthorn) spots Eddie (Steve Huison) in his cab she gives him an earful for what she sees as him stealing her home. Tara (Ayesha Dharker) tells Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) she wants to preserve their relationship through photographs and suggests they pose naked for each other. Everything’s OK and as Maria’s told she’s having a boy her relief is palpable. But the image of Liam’s son is too much for Tony to bear and reminded of his sins he rushes from the room struggling to breath. Will his behaviour reignite Maria's suspicions?
Meanwhile, back on the street, Tom's (Philip McGinley) disappointed that Maria didn't ask him to take her to the scan. Tony, though, makes it clear he's out in the cold and, keen to stick the knife, in further he then tells Maria that Tom has a massive crush on her. Maria knows and jumping on her admission Tony offers to buy Tom out of Ladrags. But will Tom sell out to Tony?
Liz (Beverley Callard) berates Steve (Simon Gregson) for allowing Becky (Katherine Kelly) to persuade him to let Amy (Amber Chadwick) visit Tracy. But when Becky discovers Liz and Steve have told Amy her mummy works in a hotel, she encourages Steve to at least tell Amy that Tracy did something bad.

Steve meanwhile is also questioning their relationship. He tells Liz (Beverley Callard) that while he loves Becky she’s a liability and, with Amy to think of, he doesn’t know if it can work. Will the couple be able to sort through their differences or is this the end of the road for Steve and Becky.
It’s a good day for business for Tony (Gray O’Brien). He knows he’s got Luke (Craig Kelly) over a barrel and says he’ll only return to Underworld if Luke agrees to make decisions jointly. A truce is reached and as Maria (Samia Smith) too holds out the olive branch Tom (Philip McGinley) can see he’s beaten and agrees to sell his share of Ladrags to Tony. He’s smug as Maria admits he’s ‘like a brother’ to her. But Tom’s devastated and with his jealousy getting the better of him he lets rip at the pair.
Kelly’s (Tupele Dorgu) birthday celebrations are full swing in the Rovers. Kelly’s keen to a bag a man but when she hits on Luke he knocks her back. Kelly then turns her attentions to Tom, who after his row with Maria and Tony is only too happy to be leaving with someone else. Meanwhile as a drunken Julie (Katy Cavangah) laughs at Jason’s (Ryan Thomas) jokes he takes his chances and whisks her off.
Chesney’s (Sam Aston) concerned when Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) returns home downbeat. She hands him a dictionary and tells him misanthropy means ‘a general dislike/distrust of people’. She then tells Chesney she needs a cuddle.
And Molly (Vicky Binns) tells Jack (William Tarmey) it’s okay to spend time with Connie as Vera would want him to be happy. But Tyrone’s (Alan Halsall) annoyed that Molly’s encouraging Jack to see Connie.
This episode is written by Jonathan Harvey and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Tessa Hoffe.

Eileen's dad, Colin Grimshaw, is leaving Coronation Street in May - in a coffin. How this will effect Eileen and poor Rita will be anyone's guess but there's a funeral coming up so get your black hats out. I wonder if Colin's dirty secret comes out before he dies?

The cast and crew of Coronation Street were out on location yesterday filming for a funeral.
If you're wondering who, well I'll tell you - it's Colin Grimshaw's.
Granted, Colin's (Edward de Souza) not a character that we've really been made to care about, but it's an integral part of the Julie/Eileen/Paula storyline. As most people have guessed, Julie (Katy Cavanagh) is actually Eileen's (Sue Cleaver) half sister as Eileen's old school friend Paula (Sharon Duce) had a brief fling with Eileen's father, Colin.
Confused?
Well, the plot takes an unlikely twist in a couple of weeks when a drunk and unknowing Julie ends up dragging her inebriated nephew Jason (Ryan Thomas) to bed...
Just so we're clear - she doesn't actually know he's her nephew!
Anyway, all this kicks off on screen at the end of the month. Until then, here are a few sneaky on-location pics from the funeral. Click here or on the picture below to view the rest of the gallery.

Teenage tearaway Sophie Webster is set to dump her boyfriend and embark on a relationship with a female friend.
The 16-year-old, played by actress Brooke Vincent, recently shocked her on-screen parents, Sally and Kevin, by becoming a born-again Christian.
However, she is poised to shatter her wholesome image by turning gay.
The move is designed to make the programme reflect modern Britain more accurately, it is claimed.
A source told the News of the World: "The show's bosses want to create a soap representative of society in 2009.
"They are acutely aware that they need more gay characters and that they need to tackle more gay issues."
Sophie will become the second homosexual character in Weatherfield, the fictional location in Greater Manchester where the soap is set.
She joins gay factory worker Sean Tully, played by Antony Cotton, who became a talking point when he was introduced as the only gay on the street in 2004.
Sophie, 16, is to dump her on-screen boyfriend Ben Richardson, played by Lucien Laviscount, before beginning her first lesbian fling.
According to the News of the World, the show's producers at Granada are still deciding whether to introduce a new character to play Sophie's love interest, or to use an existing cast member.
Bible study group friend Sian Powers, played by Sacha Parkinson, is said to be in the running to co-star in the storyline, which is believed to be hitting screens this summer.
People seem to have forgotten about the woman from the 1 o'clock club xD
