X Mas Day

Archie starts to worry when he realises that Suzy is a loose cannon, in the latest visit to Walford.

Dot receives a Christmas surprise when Jim arrives home, while Roxy's world is shattered when she realises Suzy knows her secret. Is the Mitchell clan about to be ripped apart?

A bombshell concerning Sean is dropped on the residents of Albert Square. Dot, meanwhile, receives an unexpected visitor.

Sounds rather shite, no where near as good as last year

And LOL @
Ian banning christmas and jane kicking him out!

It just showed Lauren on the phone, after Tanya said, "Don't worry, he doesn't know it was you"

:nono:

Never try to sympathise with these 'animals' this was a grown man who DIDNT love his victim just the age she was.

Callous pedophiles like this carefully choose and rehearse there vile plan to trap vunerable children at a young age, THATS what (if anything) Tony loved.
His buzz-word recently was his "special" little girl, for special read young child... His victim was no longer a young child, no longer 'special' and a new young girl (Lauren) was now fast becoming very special, she was what the pedophiles REALLY love... she was a child.

Thats the differnce between a Pedophile and the 19 year old boyfriend of Laura? Beale, which may have been love (we'll never know)
What I find incredible is, during that story line Ian through the guy out with no mention of having him arrested for his crime (if only grooming a potential rape victim she was a child too)... yet we are about to see Ian in this story line go after a charector for hiring a pedophile at the youth centre.

I agree with your thoughts Magic, there are some double standards, but, it seems, only when we ignore some abusers rather than focus on protecting what are in law still children.
Oh, and it was a classic Eastenders storyline, thats for sure.

HUGE spoiler below, read at your own peril.
THIS is the moment crazed EastEnder Sean Slater vows to punish wife Roxy — by kidnapping the tot he was conned into believing was his daughter.

The layabout (played by Rob Kazinsky) is furious to learn Amy’s real father is Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).

The bombshell explodes during Christmas dinner at the Queen Vic. Sean snaps after the news of the paternity test is revealed in a home-made CRACKER — and confronts Roxy (Rita Simons).

He plans to get back at her and the tot’s twisted grandfather Archie Mitchell (Larry Lamb) by snatching Amy and fleeing to a deserted flat.

Devastated Roxy blames herself and tries to get her baby back before Sean does something terrible.

But it is Sean’s sister Stacey (Lacey Turner) who steps into the breach.

An EastEnders insider said: “Stacey is the only one who’s ever been able to handle Sean.

"He’s a loose cannon and he’s utterly humiliated.

“While everyone else panics, Stacey works out what’s happened and it’s not long before she’s on his tail.”

But Sean is still at large and over New Year he hatches his most twisted plan yet . . .

Suzie wanted money off Archie for telling Shaun about the baby, Archie said no, so she went into the kitchen and told Roxie that she knows that the baby isn't Shaun's. So Roxie went in crying to Archie asking him to help, so he told her that Suzie never was pregnant and she faked the miscarrage.

Roxie told Suzie that she would tell Phil if Suzie told Shaun about the baby, she shouted Phil and Suzie told him herself. Phil got her in the room and was going to batter her but Ben came in. Then Archie paid Suzie money to leave and not tell Shaun, but she took the money and told him that shes already put the results somewehre. Then Shaun found the results in the cracker.

Oh my freaking god Eastenders was amazing tonight! Haha Suzie was such a bitch but I found it quite amusing, she made me laugh. Poor Sean though, I felt really sorry for him. Can't wait for tomorrow's episode, I am so excited for it. My aunty's jaw literally dropped at the end though when Nick knocked Dot's door, she didn't know he was coming back. Yeah same, that was a really sad moment, poor Sean! Oh yeah I thought she may have as well, would have been a good Christmas storyline but I think it'll be saved till the new year now. I loved the beginning of the first episode though when Sean was with that band singing in the square to Roxy, found that so funny and then that idiot Archie came along and pulled out the plug.

I cant believe noone has mentioned the everyone at the Beales! I found most of that more interestin then the amy saga! The vest mickey-takin was so funi! Absolutely loved it whereas with the amy thing, i felt that it dragged abit and didnt really progress to far. It looks set to pick up 2moro tho!

That was a GREAT EastEnders episode, and I think its just as good as last year.

With EastEnders I love how they make the most of the two episodes, I dont know if anyone else notices but the first episode is usually a lot more happy, ending on a cliffhanger, and the second episode usually is rather 'eventfull'.

Great acting, great script and great plot! Bring on the next episode!
When is it btw?

I wasn`t as impressed as last year but then again it would take some beating for me.Saying that I still really enjoyed it and it was a great episode,Suzie was horriblely fantastic but I was a bit let down by Peggys reaction to her Mitchell slagging,I was waiting for here to say 'Get out of my pubbbb!!!!':blush2:
I was lmao when all guests at the Beales started singing 'Simply the vest' to Christian and It was nice to see Jim home for Dot also.Things should get interesting in tonights ep with the return of Nick.Im really gutted for Sean though,I have never been a Jack fan and I love the Slaters.
Despite enjoying the storyline however I think they should have saved the reveal of Whitney`s abuse storyline for xmas day and done the Amy thing earlier.

ALBERT Square is to get its own BROTHEL in the New Year — sparking fury among Walford residents.
Fiery EastEnders landlady Peggy Mitchell rallies locals to complain after hearing about massage parlour Gilly’s.

She soon ropes in family man Ian Beale and upstanding Christian Dot Cotton to oppose the *****house.

But Square tearaway Jay Brown is one of the first to be tempted — and ends up wooing one of the tarts.

A BBC insider said: “Gilly’s is really going to upset people in the Square. They’ve put up with immoral things over the years but this is a step too far.

“Gilly’s won’t just be some sort of humour device. It will show the dark side of prostitution.”

The bar owner (Samantha Janus) finds Danielle (Lauren Crace) squatting in Callum’s flat after falling out with Stacey (Lacey Turner). A soap insider said: “Maybe Ronnie will step in to help this time.”

Meanwhile, Stacey faces trouble when mum Jean (Gillian Wright) gets depressed after the drama over Sean and Roxy. After Jean’s life is put in danger by a fire at the Slaters’ house, Stacey goes to desperate measures to help. Our source said: “It brings back terrible memories of growing up with her mum.”

There’s also wedding strife when Queen Vic landlady Peggy (Barbara Windsor) has doubts about scheming Archie (Larry Lamb).

The insider added: “Archie thinks he’s got away with having Suzy reveal the truth about baby Amy to Sean, but Ronnie is suspicious.”

Great episode, felt sorry for Stacey and Sean though. I hated though when Stacey came in the Vic she kept saying can you leave Sean alone nobody would listen, found that quite rude of the Mitchell's. Can't wait for the next episode in half an hour!

I don't think Shaun will die or commit suicide. I think the door has been left open for him to return in the future. He's definitely left for now though, the synopsis's for each episode confirm that he left yesterday.

I have some spoilers here from Inside Soap Magazine.

- Danielle is pregnant and after her and Stacey fall out, she is caught squatting in Callum's flat by Ronnie, now's the chance for Danielle to tell Ronnie to truth...but will she?

-Stacey's in for an emotional ride too as her mother, Jean's condition becomes worse. It's just like the old days for Stacey (in 2004 i think), she's all alone and must look after her mother.

-Peggy and Archie are set to marry in early 2009, but will a shocking discovery change Peggy's mind?

-And expect more from Troublesome Janine.

They're all from Inside Soap Mag's 2009 preview.

EastEnders' Chelsea Fox will finally have a smile on her face in February when a tall, dark and handsome stranger appears in Walford.

Theo Kelly - played by 25-year-old Rolan Bell - arrives in Albert Square at the end of the month in search of Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker). However, his combination of good looks and impeccable manners immediately grabs the attention of Chelsea (Tiana Benjamin).

Looks can be deceiving, however, as there's more to Theo than meets the eye.

A Walford source told DS: "The first person he asks after is Patrick and he's soon on his mobile confirming the shopkeeper's identity. Just what is he after? And will he fall head over heels for the stunner?"

Speaking of his role, Bell said: "As a lifelong fan of EastEnders it's amazing to be part of the show - everyone has been so welcoming on set. Working with actors such as Rudolph Walker has been a dream come true and I can't wait to see how my character develops on screen."

He has previously appeared as a character called Lester Clarke in BBC One's daytime medical drama Doctors in an episode called 'Skin Deep' back in 2006 and has performed in stage in productions including The Harder They Come.

Spoilers, read at your own peril.

Tanya grabs the mobile phone from Jane's hands, anxious to talk with Lauren. Realising who's on the other end, Lauren hangs up, puzzled as to how Tanya got the number. Storming out of the pub, Tanya heads across the Square and leaves Lauren another voicemail to call her back – she wants to meet face-to-face. Lauren relents and agrees to meet. Lauren's unresponsive, with her only concern as to where Tanya found the mobile number. During their emotional conversation, Tanya begs Lauren to return home, but Lauren's adamant – it's all her fault and there's no place for her in Walford any more. A sobbing Lauren can't be persuaded and Tanya is forced to return to the Square without her. Once back home, Tanya shares a moment with Max.

Over at the club, Jack's wary of Janine's motives following her offer to help him push Ronnie out of the business. Janine reveals that she wants to be his new business partner. Billy finds himself roped into Janine's master plan when he's asked about Ronnie and he lets slip about her feud with her father, Archie. Janine shows Ronnie what she's made of when she scuppers Ronnie's attempts at sabotaging the stag do she'd arranged, while Billy finds himself caught in the crosshairs and is sacked by Ronnie. Seeing Janine's potential, Ronnie promotes Janine to manager of the club, before Janine agrees to help Ronnie get rid of Jack…

Meanwhile, Nick and Dotty continue to secretly plot their plan to fleece Dot of all her money. Dotty tries to reassure Nick that she's more than capable of pulling the scam off and reveals that there's more money to be had if they want. All they need it Dot's trust. Back at Dot's, Dotty puts her plan into action as she helps Dot sort through some old boxes containing memorabilia. They're interrupted by Nick who's delivering a goodbye a present to Dotty – a mobile phone so she can contact him when she wants. Before Nick leaves, Dotty shows Nick proof that their plan is worthwhile. Some £50,000 is up for grabs and all they have to do is kill Dot…

Elsewhere, Ian's feud with Christian continues over the business, while Jane and Christian plot behind his back; and Jay and Marissa continue to spend time together, much to Billy's annoyance.

Okay...i've got some really sad news for Danielle fans...

She's leaving in three months time . It's not been confirmed but on Kara Tointon's official facebook (Dawn Miller/Swan) she says in on her wall that "Kara is sad Lauren is leaving work on tuesday :(" and all these replies have been sent to who Lauren is and she replied "Lauren plays Danielle. I cant reveal how she leaves or if she tells ronnie.... I can however reveal she does tell Stacey... and Elliot, who plays Callum recently left too, so both characters will be going off screen in next few months...x".

If you want to see for yourself, add her on facebook. The link isn't working, so just type Kara Tointon into the search box and it's the top one. She's sitting next to Joe Swash. And it is her because she has loads of photo's of her friends at EE filming

Former Bad Girls star Sharon Duncan-Brewster is to make a guest appearance in BBC One soap EastEnders.

The 30-something actress, who appeared as Crystal Gordon in series one to four of the now-axed ITV prison drama, will take on the role of Trina Johnson, Lucas Johnson's (Don Gilet) estranged wife.

Trina turns up in Walford unannounced, much to the shock of Lucas, who has recently become engaged to Denise (Diane Parish). Not wanting his bride-to-be learning of Trina's presence, Lucas tries to make her leave.

When Patrick (Rudolph Walker) rumbles her true identity, Lucas has no choice but to ask him for his help. Before he knows it, Patrick is tasked with breaking the news to Trina that her marriage to Lucas is over. Trina, however, is far from ready to let her husband go.

An EastEnders source told DS: "Trina arrives and surprises Lucas and she makes it very clear she wants to give things another go. Lucas tries to get rid of her but his secret is out when Patrick sees what's going on."

The insider added: "Just how willing will Trina be to let her husband walk into the arms of another woman? And more importantly, will she divorce him to enable him to marry again?"

Duncan-Brewster also previously appeared in Baby Father alongside both her current 'Enders co-stars Don Gilet and Diane Parish.

There were three characters mentioned:
Archie, Danielle or Nick
I really hope it's N, he is so cringeworthy, he needs to stay with panto. If it's D what a waste of a storyline.

Marc Elliott will join EastEnders, playing the character of Syed Masood, appearing on screen from May 2009.

Syed is the much talked about son of Masood Ahmed and Zainab Masood who turns up in Walford to be reunited with his parents – but how will he fit back into family life?

Syed Masood is the handsome, suave and sophisticated eldest child of the Masood family.

A natural charmer, a smooth talker and the apple of his mother's eye, he's learned how to get ahead in business using his persuasive charm. He can spot an opportunity a mile off, and will pursue regardless of how reckless it seems to others.

Marc Elliott says: "It is so exciting to join the cast of EastEnders and to be working with actors such as Nina Wadia and Nitin Ganatra who I have admired for many years. The Masood family have really made a name for themselves in the Square and it will be interesting see how Syed plans to stir things up!"

Diederick Santer, Executive Producer, adds: "At last he's here! The most talked-about yet unseen prodigal son in EastEnders history. Syed is a fascinating character, and I'm sure Marc will bring his many dimensions to life with great verve. Entrepeneurial, reckless, dashing and complicated, he's set to bring surprises and chaos to the Masood family."

Marc Elliott has previously appeared in Holby and The Bill.

Marc was part of the History Boys UK theatre tour where he played the role of Akthar.

EastEnders bosses this afternoon defended claims that they deliberately avoided promoting tonight's episode, which features an all-black cast for the first time in the show's history.

This evening's instalment of the Walford-based drama revolves around the Trueman and Fox families and the secret that mysterious newcomer Theo Kelly (Rolan Bell) is keeping from Patrick (Rudolph Walker).

During the episode, Theo meets with Chelsea (Tiana Benjamin) in the hope of learning more about Patrick. As they talk in the cafe, Theo's mobile phone rings and when he heads outside, Chelsea discovers a newspaper cutting with the headline 'Negro charged with assault', relating to Patrick's arrest on assault charges during the Notting Hill riots.

The script contains references to the 1958 riots as well as iconic American civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr, while the terms 'coloureds', 'negroes' and the racist slogan 'Keep Britain White' are also mentioned in the dialogue.

Despite claims to the contrary, programme-makers insisted that the storyline has received the same publicity treatment as the soap's other ongoing plots.

An insider this afternoon told DS: "Everyone at Elstree has been truly shocked and surprised by the attention that an episode with an all-black cast has had, given that we live in such a diverse and multicultural society."

A BBC spokesperson said: "Tonight's episode focuses on Patrick Trueman sharing his experiences of being a young man living in 1950s Britain with the family he lives with (the Foxes) which does mean it's solely an all-black cast on screen."

They added: "Patrick and the Foxes are an integral part of Albert Square and this is no different to other episodes where we've concentrated on one particular family or storyline in the past."

It was recently announced that acting legend Edward Woodward is to join the cast of the BBC soap as part of the ongoing storyline.
