Former EastEnders actress Tracy-Ann Oberman has revealed that she would love to finish off her character's storyline.
The 39-year-old, who played cold-blooded murderer Chrissie Watts for a year-and-a-half, was written out of the BBC soap in December 2005 when she was left languishing in prison for killing her husband Den (Leslie Grantham).
Due to the unavailability of Oberman and the other actors involved - Michelle Ryan (Zoe Slater) and Kim Medcalf (Sam Mitchell) - Den's murder trial was shelved and Chrissie was last seen returning to her cell after a visit from Jake Moon (Joel Beckett).
With no resolve to Chrissie's story, Oberman hopes to one day discover what happened to her Walford counterpart.
Speaking exclusively to DS, she enthused: "I'd love to finish off Chrissie's storyline because I love the character and I do feel that she was left in limbo. To know what happened to her would be great. Even if she went back to say goodbye or wanted to make peace with Sam. Or maybe we could see her in prison?"
She continued: "I would have loved to have wrapped [the story] up. She just told Jake [Moon] not to wait for her because she realised she had to do her time. She'd have probably got well in with the Governor. I could imagine them having cosy dinners together. Probably the Jeffrey Archer of soapworld."
Chrissie's co-conspirator Sam Mitchell is due to return to the Square in September as the character's original actress Danniella Westbrook takes the reigns from Medcalf.
A return for Chrissie, however, is not currently on the cards.

I'm really loving Stacey's storyline at the moment, the acting from her and Jean makes it heartbreaking, and in a way it gives Jean a chance to be the mother in the relationship, like she should be.:love:
I hope Chrissie does get out of prison and returns. How long did she get anyway, was it a life sentence?
Oh and since Sam Mitchell is returning maybe we'll see Chrissie in prison and they may bring the whole Den thing up again.
Wasn't Sam Mitchell on the run when she left? Didn't she assault Tracey when she dug up Dens body?

Strictly Come Dancing star Natalie Cassidy is to make a sensational return to the role that made her name - Sonia Jackson in EastEnders.
The actress will return to the Square in the New Year, along with the rest of the Jackson clan.
Also returning to the BBC soap will be Dean Gaffney, as brother Robbie and Lindsey Coulson as mother Carol. It is thought a new actor will play Sonia's teenage half-brother Billy.
In a move sure to delight fans of the long-running soap, the family will play a major role in the storyline.
Natalie said: 'To be reunited with the original Jacksons is a dream come true.'
The dysfunction family first appeared on screens in 1993 and over the years played out some of EastEnders biggest storylines.
These included Sonia unexpectedly giving birth - not knowing she was even pregnant - aged just 15.
Natalie has had the most high-profile career of her former co-stars since leaving the soap.
After losing weight she launched a best-selling fitness DVD, and has carved a niche as a presenter on BBC3.
In January viewers will see Carol return to Walford to be reunited with her estranged daughter Bianca, played by Patsy Palmer.
But show bosses have refused to confirm whether this will be at a wedding - perhaps of Bianca and childhood sweetheart Ricky Butcher.
Fans have spent months waiting to see if the couple will reunite.
Lindsey's character left the show more than ten years ago after exposing Bianca's affair with her then boyfriend Dan Sullivan.
The actress, 48, has been asked to return before, but has always refused.
But with the 25th anniversary of the soap approaching she finally agreed.

Janine would be so predictable and boring.
She kills all her husbands so it would just be old and boring if she is the killer.
Peggy killing him is probley the most realistic, as she leaves soon.
But even that would still be boring, as its predictable.
Ronnie is predictable too lol but it wouldnt be her because we see her in that picture accussing Janine off it.
I think Ronnie gets accussed for it though because in a magazine last month they had pics of Ronnie coming out of Jail, it was filmed for around January.

Roxy would be a good one though, would be unexpected as shes seems to get along most with Archie.
I have a feeling they could make Jack the killer, Ronnie and Jack get close again, and then Ronnie finds out it was Jack in a few months time and more heartbreak for her.

Can't wait for Eastenders tonight! Loved last night's episode, really felt for Peggy and the Mitchells with them being kicked out on Xmas Eve. I hope someone really unexpected kills Archie but I can see it being either one of the Mitchells or Janine.

He didnt kill Archie though, its not revealed until Febuary and I seriously doubt they would reveal the killer 3 days after he died.
That Ronnie & Roxy embrace towards the end looked four seconds away from turning into a lesbian romp.

I disagree, I loved Sam as a character before she ran off as Kim acting, and when she came back she seemed pretty pointless. But now she has been giving more of a purpose as she is a likely suspect, and Im enjoying her as a character again, I think it would be if it was her. :)
But yeah, Kim is the better actress.

I know it sounds stupid, but he hasnt been shown at all really, and if he pushed that statue off to hit Archie on the head, rather that picking it up and smacking him on the head with it [which he wouldnt be able to do], it is quite realistic.

No it's not. Archie standing up is about twice the height of where the Queen Vic statue is placed. And he was nowhere near it. It's on a counter over to the side of the bar. He was at the center of the bar. Standing up. They're not about to turn the biggest storyline of the year into a comedy angle.

Can't believe the almighty Phil Mitchell produced Ben as a son. He must be so ashamed. Phil's son should be more like Vinnie Jones son from Lock, Stock.

I think it could be Sam.The way she said that the police might think its her on tonights episode made me suspicious.
