Can't wait for the two hander episode. EE hasn't been on top form recently in my opinion. Next week's storyline with Billie and his Uncle Jack in the forest has just came out of nowhere. We all knew he had a gun and inevitably it was going to be used at some point but Billie has hardly spoken to Jack since he's returned. I can only remember them being in two scenes together.

Found a summary on Lacey's interview- RTE Afternoon Show.


Lacey starts by saying she's been in Eastenders 6 years. Was at school doing normal things like singing, dancing, and acting. Went for an audition and didnt think she'd get it. Did her last GSCE on a Wednesday and started filming the following day.

She was only 16 and went from a schoolgirl to growing up very quick with responsibilities.

She considers it a privilige to have been involved in big storylines.

Her favourite eastender is Dot.Sheana the presenter goes the Father Ted route at this and suggests that June "must be what, 80 now"

She also tells Lacey that she is the polar opposite to Stacey.

Lacey lives with her mother. "You cant beat being at home"

She goes on to comment about work schedules.5/6 day weeks, shoot nearly 30 scenes a day.

Nicola asked by text who is the better kisser; Max or Bradley. Lacey declines to answer, but Sheana guesses at Max.

Her favourite storyline has been researching and playing the bipolar storyline. Emma asked by text whats it like playing a character with bipolar. Challenging but worthwhile.

She said that she had no idea she was Archies murderer till just before the episode.

They showed a clip of Bradley and Stacey from the February 18th edition. She is very happy to stay in Eastenders.

She stands up and walks

is judging the culinary six nations cook off between Scotland and Ireland. Scotland wins.

She concludes by saying thank you and goodbye .

Former Footballers' Wives and Strictly Come Dancing star Zoe Lucker has joined the cast of EastEnders as a new love interest for Max Branning.

The 35-year-old mother-of-one, who played glamourous superbitch Tanya Turner in the ITV football drama, takes on the role of "dynamic and assured" businesswoman Vanessa and immediately attracts the attention of ladies' man Max.

When Vanessa stops by the car lot to do business with Max (Jake Wood), there's an immediate chemistry between the pair and it looks like Max has finally met his match - but it's clear that all is not what it seems.

Speaking of her casting, Lucker said: "I'm a huge fan of the show and I'm really looking forward to working closely with Jake Wood. I've heard fantastic things about the show though friends like Kacey Ainsworth and Natalie Cassidy, so I can't wait to get started."

Executive producer Bryan Kirkwood added: "Zoe Lucker is absolutely perfect for the role of Vanessa. The character is a strong confident force of nature who will play Max at his own game. I can't wait to see Zoe come face to face with Jake Wood on screen."

Lucker is Kirkwood's third signing since taking office at the Albert Square soap earlier this year, having successfully lured Jessie Wallace and Shane Ritchie back to the show as favourites Kat and Alfie Moon.

Lucker begins filming her initial short stint at the soap's home in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire within the next couple of months and will make her screen debut in the summer.

Her other screen credits include Coronation Street, Holby City, sister show HolbyBlue and Bad Girls.

EastEnders star Jake Wood has insisted that he is not similar to his Walford alter ego Max Branning.

In an interview with The Mirror, the actor explained that he cannot imagine ever being unfaithful or putting his family life at risk like the character he has played for four years.

The father-of-two revealed: "I'm nothing like Max. I'm very happily married and I find it very easy to switch Max off as soon as I leave work."

He continued: "I'd never have an affair in real life."

Fans of the BBC One soap are currently waiting to discover whether Max will be able to patch things up with estranged wife Tanya (Jo Joyner) when she returns to Albert Square later this year.

However, reflecting on his character's future, Wood commented: "Even if Max did settle down, who is to say that five or ten years down the line he wouldn't stray again? I think he's damaged enough. I don't know what it'd take to make him settle down, maybe some kind of resolution with his dad.

"He had an awful childhood with his dad Jim that scarred him for life. But deep down I think he just wants to be a better dad to his kids than Jim was to him."

Barbara Windsor wants her EastEnders bosses to create a West End musical based on the soap, according to a report.

The news comes just days after it was confirmed that rival serial Coronation Street is plotting a musical theatre production to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Windsor, who is bowing out from her role as Peggy Mitchell this year, said that the project could take inspiration from Cockney musical Fings Ain't Wot They Used T'Be, in which she starred in the '60s.

The 72-year-old told The Sun: "It was a musical I did for Lionel Bart for two and a half years. We could base it on a little bit of that."

The Walford couple parted on bad terms last year after Tanya - played by actress Jo Joyner - discovered that Max had hidden their family's financial problems from her.

In real life, Joyner is away on maternity leave after welcoming the arrival of twins Edie and Freddie following successful IVF treatment.

Brilliant single handed episode by Stacey and Max tonight, really thought out well!

Amazing how even though Max is more innocent than Stacey I was feeling dam angry with him pushing Stacey about and telling her what shes got to do at the start! :laugh: The lighting in the flat was really effective too and loved the special effects at the end when they both went in their homes and it wizzed out, kinda like '2 people know the truth out the whole world' feel.

I was hoping they would do a past scene of Stacey actually killing Archie but meh was fantastic, Lacey and Jake are very talented imo.

Max gets nasty and threatens to tell everybody it was her in order to clear Bradley's name, and that she will be going into prison for it. Stacey runs out the flat, but cause shes pregnant doesnt get very far, and falls, Max hotwires a car and drags her in.
He says shes gonna knock on everybodys door (Jean's, Ronnie's, The Vic etc.) and tell them or what she did and then confess to the police. Stacey says its partly his fault too (being a bad dad, afair with her), and when they arrive in Walford he breaks down and tells Stacey its their secret about her being Archie's killer - what Bradley would want.
It ends with them going into their homes, closing the door and the camera panning out, which gives a 'only 2 people know the truth out the whole world' feel imo. Really good. :)

Thank you Jords:). The punishment of Bradley's death is punishment enough for Stacey, I feel for Max too but he also has his fair share of the blame of the events that led to Bradley's death.. he'll be a better character out of this and Stacey so glad he'll step up to the father figure for her sticking to Bradders wishes.

Managed to catch up on yesterday episode.. Don't blame Max for being angry with Stacey at first and wanting to turn her in but when he heard some home truths it made him reconsider and deep down I don't think he would have wanted her to go down for it. Although I was like OMG when he manhandled her after she fell over then dragged her to the car.

Max is following Bradley's wishes but both he and Stacey had a role in the events that lead to Bradder's death but no-one could have predicted that would happen.. it was a tragic accident and no-one was to blame that was Bradley's choice to go onto the top of the Vic.

Funny how the police haven't questioned Stacey about the run Stace shouts from Bradley before he jumped?. Jean will be so happy next episode:D. Stacey is just brill and there is so much to her character, won't be the same again but it will hopefully stay a secret between the two until they find out what Becca did and deal with her.. it won't ever come out until Lacey Turner decides to leave.

Great episode last night, Max and Stacey were brilliant, but Max was too harsh on Stacey at first I thought, especially when he dragged her to the car. EastEnders and Coronation Street have been unveiled at this year's top shows in the All About Soap Bubble Awards.

Of the eight trophies, BBC One's Walford soap landed five, while Coronation Street bagged three.

The remaining two of the Big Four UK serials - Emmerdale and Hollyoaks - failed to win any, alongside Australian soaps Home and Away and Neighbours.

EastEnders' actress Charlie Brooks accepted the 'Femme Fatale' award for her portrayal of vixen Janine Butcher. Speaking of her win, she said: "I love playing the bitch and it's great to have so many juicy storylines to sink my teeth into. Sometimes when I read the scripts I think, 'Can Janine really be doing this?' but she never fails to impress."

Meanwhile, Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan was handed the 'Celeb Style' trophy. "It especially means a lot because the award is voted for by the readers," she said. "I'm amazed I beat Katherine Kelly - she always looks amazing, so that's a real achievement."

This year's 'Fatal Attraction' title went to EastEnders lovers Christian and Syed, played by John Partridge and Marc Elliott. Partridge said: "Marc and I are absolutely thrilled to win this award. We want to thank everyone for their support."

Yeah Adam plays the disabled card to the absolute maximum. It's so annoying, every little remark made gets a 'Is it cause I'm in a wheelchair?' or 'are you implying something about disabled people?' from Adam. It's gotten a bit cringey now and I bet real disabled people aren't happy with his portrayal of a disabled boy. I know I wouldn't be.

I do think from what I've read on here and on WalfordWeb etc, people are getting fed up with the teenagers but I think its great.

Problem with EE is that they're having to rotate cast too much because certain storylines and characters have to disappear for a while to allow focus on another for a while which has been left to wait to be at the centre of the action again and with such a big cast it does cause problems...

Like the delay in the Chryed storyline and Lucas psycho killer ones;).

Its a shame we dont actually get to hear what happened to Kylie, I wanted to see her throwen into the Jail Cellar and that, she's been a main character basically for about 3 weeks they cant just get rid of her in one scene by putting her into a bloody office.

Roxy instead of Peggy:p, since the Danielle death episode ended up with the 4 of them standing there at the end. Could have been better tbh but at least the 2 people who really cared about the girl actually remembered unlike Roxy.

Yeah but Bullying does go on in schools alot and Eastenders do, do alot of storylines of things that happen today.

Its good that they have another storyline coming up tbh one thats intresting cause the whole Paint Fight sounds rather boring to me and the Masoods and that so as soon as they find out about Christian and Syed then the better but this storyline is good and I cant wait to see how it turns out.

I reckon Max and Stacey will remain, and Biance and Ricky and co. Roxy probably will be. Heather and Shirley and Phil will all stay I imagine. Peggy will be back probably.
