Archie invites the Slaters for lunch, in the week's final slice of drama from Albert Square.

As you know I normally post spoilers for the upcoming episodes every week, but last week (the spoilers for the Halloween time episodes) the press office didn't release any, it is because one of the episode is the gun battle between Max and Jack and someone gets shot!

MAXBranning confronts his estranged wife Tanya over her plan to run off with his brother Jack.

The furious dad goes berserk when he finds the couple are plotting a move to France with his three kids.

But Max’s violent outburst does little to persuade his girls they should stay in Walford as he leaves both Abi and Lauren
terrified.

They try to calm their dad but when Max shouts in Tanya’s face they have no choice but to phone their uncle Jack for help.

Jack races to the house and throws& Max out but not before he makes a sinister threat.

An insider said: “Max is absolutely furious.

“The hatred he feels for his brother is worse than it has ever been. And it’s only a matter of time before he’s forced to do something drastic.

“He can’t believe Tanya would go along with the move as she knows how much the kids mean to him.

“But it’s Lauren and Abi’s reaction that gets to him.

“Once he’s left the house he realises he shouldn’t have reacted that way and goes back to plotting his brother’s downfall.

“There is no way Max is going to let Jack and Tanya move to France.

“He will do whatever it takes to keep his children in Walford and the climax to this storyline is explosive.”

Watch out for all the drama surrounding Max’s outburst a week on Tuesday.

EASTENDERS villain Sean Slater has a less than merry Christmas in store on his way to a spectacular exit, TV Biz can reveal.
Sean goes off the rails after discovering that he may NOT be the father of his wife Roxy’s newborn baby.

Sean (Rob Kazinsky) flees with the tot — leaving Roxy (Rita Simons) in anguish — and exits the BBC1 soap after plummeting into a frozen lake. But EastEnders chiefs are keeping the final outcome of his departure a secret.

A show insider said: “Will Sean live or die, and what will happen to Roxy’s baby? Viewers are going to be hooked — and we’re not going to disappoint.”

Sean and Roxy wed after a fiery romance and Sean pledged his love for the unborn baby.

But Roxy had slept with Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), then boyfriend of her sister Ronnie, at around the same time as Sean and it emerges that Sean may not be the premature baby’s dad.

Last night an EastEnders spokeswoman said: “We don’t comment on storylines.”

Another notorious baddie, Nick Cotton, wends his way back to Walford in December to torment his long-suffering ma, Dot.

After his solicitor tells him to take action, scheming Max cancels the couple’s ferry tickets.

Eastenders is starting to get same-y again. I'm so bored of Max he's a two dimensional character and the actor can't act for crap (Have you actually ever seen him with ANY emotion in his face? it's just blank.) They should Axe him and Bradley, both are useless repetitive characters.

With Danielle I kinda hope she turns round to Ronnie and goes 'you know what I'm your daughter but SCREW YOU!' and runs off. The writers have turned Ronnie into such a bitch it's hard to sympathise with her (like we're meant too).

Former Footballers' Wives star Alison Newman is to make a brief appearance in EastEnders.

The 40-year-old actress - who appeared as brash lesbian Hazel Bailey in the first four seasons of the now-axed glitzy ITV football drama Footballers Wives - is to play ballsy cop DI Keeble in a number of episodes of the East-End soap.

A Walford source told DS: "It's no secret that there's a gun floating around Albert Square, but that doesn't mean she'll be around for the fallout of the gun shot."

They added: "Could there be something more sinister afoot?"

Newman will appear on screen from Monday, November 3.

Earlier this year, she made an appearance in ITV1's Rock Rivals as Bethany's (Holly Quin-Ankrah) pushy mother Lynette Hopkins.

An Albert Square source told DS: "It's definitely a shocker. Max finally realises the trauma he's caused his family over the last number of months and goes to resolve his differences with Tanya. He doesn't make it across the Square, though. Before he gets across the road, an unidentified driver knocks him down."

They added: "Max has made enough enemies over the last year to last him a lifetime. So the big question will be - who tried to kill Max? Was it Bradley? Stacey? Tanya? Callum? Peter? The list could go on!"

I think it will be either Bradley or Lauren. None of the main suspects characters are due to leave the soap anytime soon, so that rules out a prison sentence. The only way the perpetrator can be revealed and not go to prison is if it is one of Max's children because he wouldn't have the heart to tell the police. It's not Abi because she idolises Max and would be too small to drive. Tanya and Jack would be too obvious.

Hm last night's episode was good but like someone else said I thought it went over the top, like at the end when Max got ran over you could hear him breathing really loud that was so tacky and the way Tanya kissed Max was so unrealistic too, I mean yeah she probably felt sorry for him but I didn't think she'd kiss him and then her reaction afterwards was a bit lame. I hate Callum and Stacey too, they have literally no chemistry, I feel embarassed for Stacey watching her all over him, they are such a bad couple, she should go back to Bradley.

The 69-year-old, who plays Jim Branning, suffered a stroke in June last year and has since been undergoing an intensive rehabilitation programme.

He filmed his first post-stroke appearance in June this year, which was seen by over 8.5m people in August.

Last month, it was reported that he had made another return to Elstree Studios - home of EastEnders - to film a further episode. It has since transpired that he has filmed a brief appearance due to be aired at the beginning of next month, in addition to an episode which sees Jim celebrating Christmas Day with his family on the Square.

Speaking to Scotland's Larnarkshire FM, Walford veteran June Brown, who plays Bardon's on-screen wife Dot Branning, said: "He came back not long ago and he's done two episodes so far. His birthday episode which has come out [already] and then he's done another one which is Christmas day – I don't know if I should say that but it's not really that secret, is it? – and we've tried to make it more jolly, not so bloomin' dreary."

She added: "We have a bit of a laugh and I think it'll be nice."

EastEnders legend June Brown has revealed that she had been campaigning for John Altman's return to the BBC soap for over five years.

Earlier this year, the 81-year-old spoke out about how her Walford counterpart Dot Cotton needs her son Nick Cotton back in her life and is now very happy that John Altman, who plays him, has been asked to make a comeback by the soap's bosses.

Speaking on Scottish radio station Larnarkshire FM, she said: "He's coming back and because he's doing a pantomime, which was already booked, he has to go off for a couple of months and then he comes back again."

She added: "I'm so pleased because I've been fighting to get him back for at least five years and I've finally succeeded."
