Tyler flirting with a girl (in this case Amira) and Anthony getting pissed off is not a doof doof moment. It happens all the time :suspect:

Anthony and Tyler are great but the story with Whitney is crap. The sooner they all realize she is a dirty slut the better. Unrealistic aswell, Tyler is out there pulling 9/10's he wouldn't be sidelining himself with a 5

You must be the only person in Britain to think that.

and Redway lots of people I know still watch it but they aren't happy with it at the moment.

if i did not no better - i am sure EE gets there storylines from people that really have no life at all and think its so amazeing when you have a good looking person on tv even if they can not act - ie tyler - antony- whitney - fatz - ben- maybe not heather but she should not have been given a such a big roll as we can all see there is nothing to her even if we can all have compassion for her - fix up EE it is real bad.

Just clearing up some rumours. From http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2/eastenders/scoop/a367771/eastenders-rumours-corrie-murder-more-soap-scoop-qa.html

Is it true that Tyler from EastEnders is bisexual and will have a fling with Christian?
This rumour has been doing the rounds for a few weeks now, but it's definitely untrue. The speculation started online and was later picked up on by a magazine, which fuelled the claims even further. However, our sources tell us there are no plans for such a storyline - so 'Chryed' fans can rest assured that Tyler won't be causing any trouble for their favourite couple!

Is there a rape storyline planned for Derek and Roxy in EastEnders?
This is another rumour that is totally untrue, despite speculation online and in magazines. As we've seen in this week's episodes, Derek isn't very happy with Roxy at the moment, but there are absolutely no plans for a rape storyline involving the two characters.

Will EastEnders' Roxy be at the centre of a 'who's the daddy' pregnancy story involving Derek, Jack and Max?
As with the other false Roxy rumour above, there aren't any plans for this to happen.

more revealed on the heather murder storyline
EastEnders character Andrew Cotton will be accused of murdering fiancée Heather Trott, it has been reported.

Heather, played by Cheryl Fergison, will be killed by Ben Mitchell during a heated argument next month, but police will suspect the wrong man.

Ben confesses his crime to dad Phil, who keeps an eye on the police investigation and persuades his son to keep quiet.

"Heather's murder is the next really big storyline coming up - and it's going to be huge. Everyone was desperate to keep the fact that it's Ben who kills her under wraps because it's all pointing towards Andrew," a source told the Daily Star Sunday.

"He's been getting more controlling and possessive over the last few weeks and has a bad temper.

"So even though it's Ben who kills her, the police and everyone else on Albert Square believe it was Andrew. It's a terrible crime that sends shockwaves through the Square."

+the funeral is being filmed this week

She's overrated atm especially by DS because she is considered fit. I think Shona McGarty is a better Actress.

I really rate Lorna Fitzgerald, who plays Abi when they give her good material and Abi deserves her time to shine as Tanya and Max are always worrying about Lauren and ignore poor Abi/baby Oscar:rolleyes:.

I read somewhere that they're having crisis talks because ratings are falling, and they want it to go back to its glory days and appeal to older viewers as well so they're gonna make some changes.

I hope that's right but I doubt it. Ratings are consistent and that's all that matters to them sadly although Corrie does seem to be beating EE in the ratings a lot lately, they can't be pleased with that.

The ratings have been falling quite a lot lately, actually. I haven't been posting them (sorry - I've been busy, but I'll post the ratings for next week), but, no, the press has started to lay into EastEnders quite a bit, so, hopefully, Kirkwood will be gone soon. This show has been pretty much unwatchable since December 2010. Pity, as his first few months on EastEnders were solid.

I've only dipped in and out for a while but it's not been the same since the live episode 2 years ago. Then Peggy, Stacey, Ronnie and Pat all leaving since that time hasn't done the show good at all. They've got no good characters or stories to replace old ones.

I found the article

http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/tv-film-news/soap-on-the-ropes-eastenders-bosses-in-crisis-745422

EastEnders bosses are locked in crisis talks with BBC chiefs after ratings continue to slump below Coronation Street.

For the first time in at least two years, the Albert Square soap has fallen approximately 1.5 million viewers behind Corrie for several months in a row.

Its ITV rival was also crowned Best Soap last month at the National TV Awards.

BBC bosses are believed to be concerned that a string of new youthful characters are alienating older viewers.

A show source said: “EastEnders is going through a major transition, and some of the BBC’s senior managers are concerned the show might suffer long term if well-loved characters are sidelined.”

BBC drama chief John Yorke – who was in charge of the soap from 2000 to 2002 – is said to be at odds with show producer Bryan Kirkwood, 36, an arrival from Channel 4 teen soap Hollyoaks.

The source added: “In the last two months, viewers have seen lots of Lauren Branning, Lucy Beale, Whitney, Fatboy, Ben Mitchell, Jay, Abi Branning and Anthony Moon – but not nearly so much of the classic characters.

“Phil Mitchell is currently in prison, Sam Womack quit her role as Ronnie Mitchell last year, and Shane Richie’s Alfie Moon has taken a back seat in the absence of wife Kat because Jessie Wallace is off for three months.

“At the moment there are more youngsters in Albert Square than there are in Hollyoaks.

"John is concerned that viewers may be put off by the new stars, and wants to get it back to a more traditional feel.

"It’s a worrying time, and urgent action is planned.”

I'd rather watch the younger characters than people like bloody Zainab, Cora [who I love], Ian, Kat, Depressing Ronnie, Masood, Dot, Carole or Denise's boring dull lives.

They need to find a good balance though I guess.

And are they axing Kirkwood? Thank the Heavens. :amazed:

'EastEnders' Phil Mitchell gets Red Button special

EastEnders hardman Phil Mitchell is to take centre stage in a special BBC Red Button episode, show bosses have announced.

Phil has been locked up in jail over the past few weeks, and the upcoming special will provide an exclusive insight into what life has been like for him behind bars.

The Red Button audience will follow Phil as he is given the task of showing a young new prisoner named Devon (Tobi Bakare) the ropes.

However, trouble lies ahead for the pair when Devon starts to clash with the prison's dangerous top dog Craig Jenkins (Glenn Doherty), leaving Phil with a decision to make about whether to protect him.

An EastEnders statement teased: "How far is Phil prepared to go to save someone else? The red button is sure to reveal all."

Phil was sent to prison earlier this year after his own son Ben (Joshua Pascoe) falsely told the police that he was responsible for the death of Stella Crawford.

EastEnders fans can see Phil's BBC Red Button programme on Monday, March 12 from 8.30pm, straight after the regular episode of the soap.

Old Lucy >>>>>>>>>>>>>> new one

Both are pretty bad to be fair but I preferred the old one, at least she gave a believable performance now and again and was likeable. This new one is such a bad actress, clearly only cast for her looks and she's hard to warm to. Should never have recast the role.

I agree, this version of her is not believable.

I am also not convinced by Jacqueline Jossa either!

Marsh.

I don't mind Jacqueline Jossa as Lauren, it's this binge drinking storyline, she can't act drunk.

Me neither, she's another bad actress. Started out promising but she's been awful lately and even in the scenes where she's not drunk I find her difficult to watch. Acting doesn't come natural to her. Then again the old Lauren was pretty bad too, I think it's just the character I can't warm to, I think she should be written out.

I think most of the Brannings should be really. I like the family and was glad to see them replace the Mitchell's as the main family but if all they've got to offer is cartoon characters with no personality (Derek and Jack) or the Max/Tanya annual affair story then it's best they're gone.

I think what the show really needs is a brand new fresh start with a family completely unrelated to Branning/Mitchell/Jackson/Butcher/Beale/Moon, it's all too repetitive and formulaic.

I tend to agree. I think Jo Joyner and Jake Wood are brilliant as Max and Tanya and two of the strongest actors in the show but there's not much more that can be done with them. Like you said the storylines always seem to be going round in circles with the Brannings. Abi has always been a bit of a 2 dimensional character and I can't say I'd miss her if she was to leave, she's a nice character but that's it, there's not much depth to the character. Jack has always been a useless bore of a character with little personality and Derek is far too panto and unbelievable, I've yet to meet a person who likes him either apart from a few members on this forum so I really can't see why they're keeping him around.

Also agree with that. A big new family is just what the show needs, right now it seems to be just getting worse with every week. A cull of the cast, getting rid of some of the deadwood characters, a new producer and a new family could bring the show back to it's former glory.

What else could you do with her? Within the space of three years, she's had a dokestic abuse storyline, had her daughter drowned, her husband in prison, her husband murdered, a mental husband who murdered people in the name of God, drowned her, made her take the blame for Owen and Trina, being sent to rehabilitation, Lucas being sent to prison and Jordan, Liz, Chelsea and Libby leaving.

That said, though, bring back Chelsea, Libby, Jordan and Liz! Iiked Lucas as well. :(

She's a great character though and they should be making more use of her. They need to give her a big storyline again and I'm fully behind the return of Chelsea, Libby and Liz. None should have been axed, there are much worse characters on the show at the moment than them and I preferred Denise having a big family unit, not just her, Kim and Patrick. They've really gone all out to make Ben detestable the last couple of years. Even last night, Heather's dead body lying on the floor and he's still worrying about "me". Anyone in his shoes would be distraught, saying I'm sorry, I didn't mean it etc etc. But it was all "help me", "fix it, get me out of this". Such a horrid little thing. And worst of all "She told on me" that was really pathetic.

But, yes, I'm aware it's not real. lol

I liked Shirley's acting in the house when she could barely speak but the deep groans into Phil's coat did make me laugh a bit.

Hopefully Roxy suspects something now her coat has been suspiciously thrown in the washer, and if she doesn't she's really dense.
Speaking of which the biggest shock in Eastenders since Den came back from the dead; THE MITCHELL'S HAVE A WASHING MACHINE.

It took me until today's episode when it showed Roxy's coat to notice that they have their own machine. An Eastenders first, surely?

I think the reason they left him Angus was because they were covering up the fact that Ben killed her and if they had taken the baby people would have known that Jay ,Phil and Ben had been in the house before anyone else and would have been prime suspects,so they made it look like a robbery gone wrong,so they had to leave George, but I was worried about the little lad myself:hugesmile:

Plus it is more company for Dot with him and Rose around. I actually felt for Dot yesterday and I don't like her character, but June Brown is a wonderful Actress and is lovely/hilarious in real life!

I don't know if this has already been posted, I can't see it has:

EastEnders' Shirley Carter will soon share some important information with the police in the Heather Trott murder case.

Shirley (Linda Henry) is in for a shock next month when she realises that the picture frame she gave to Heather before her death is mysteriously missing.

EastEnders fans will know that Heather's killer Ben Mitchell (Joshua Pascoe) used the frame to attack the mum-of-one during their fateful argument at her flat.

Magazine reports have revealed that Shirley quickly realises the frame must have been the murder weapon, so she tells the police all about it.

In a further twist, it turns out that Ben didn't dump the frame in the canal as Phil (Steve McFadden) advised him to. Instead, he has kept hold of it in a secret hiding place. Will he be able to make sure that it isn't found?

Amid the latest developments in the investigation, Ben is also floored when he learns that he's expected to give a reading at Heather's funeral. How will he cope with the increasing pressure he's facing?

EastEnders airs an emotional day for Albert Square's residents later this month as Heather Trott's funeral takes place.

Shirley (Linda Henry) is overwhelmed when she sees how many people turn up to pay their respects to Heather, who was recently killed by twisted Ben Mitchell.

As the service gets under way, Shirley recites a touching tribute to Heather, listing all of the things that she'll miss about her best friend.

However, as the pictures show, Ben (Joshua Pascoe) and Jay (Jamie Borthwick) also have to give readings at the church - which puts them under pressure as the cover-up continues.

Jay and Phil (Steve McFadden) begin to panic when Ben cries during his reading and starts apologising for his actions, coming dangerously close to revealing the truth about Heather's death.

Following his near-confession, Ben breaks down to Shirley and apologises for ruining the reading. How long can he carry on concealing the truth?

'EastEnders': Shirley Carter to clear Heather Trott murder suspect

EastEnders' Shirley Carter buries the hatchet with Andrew Cotton next week after finally realising that he didn't kill Heather Trott.

Shirley (Linda Henry) has suspected Andrew (Ricky Grover) of murder for some time, and even bans him from Heather's funeral in upcoming episodes of the soap.

However, after attending the emotional service next week, Shirley starts to go through the contents of Heather's work locker and is shocked to find two train tickets. Her discovery verifies what Andrew has been telling the police all along - he and Heather were planning to elope just before she died.

After uncovering the crucial evidence, Shirley heads straight round to see Andrew to make things right, before accompanying him to the police station to present DS Crisp with the tickets.

It seems that Andrew is now in the clear, and he and Shirley are on the same team for the first time. Working together, will they be able to uncover the identity of Heather's killer?

Meanwhile, EastEnders fans already know that the police make a shock arrest at Heather's wake - and more details can now be revealed about what takes place.

After leaving Phil (Steve McFadden), Ben (Joshua Pascoe) and Jay (Jamie Borthwick) startled by putting in an appearance at the funeral, DS Crisp later turns up at The Vic, where Heather's friends are busy sharing their memories of her.

Interrupting the proceedings, Crisp announces that he wants to speak to "Mr Mitchell" down at the station… Who will be arrested on suspicion of murder?

:amazed::amazed: So glad Andrew is in the clear

& I think Billy will be arrested as Phil took his hoodie

the whole point of a forum is to share our own views on the show - other wise it would be a message board to and topic saying how great eastenders is.

and if everyone that posts has to say that - it will get a little boring and meaningless after a while.

i adore EE like all my soaps but i am ashamed to be a fan of such bad acting at present. if you feel EE is at its best - that's your op-ion and i will not try to change that. but will have to agree to disagree.

The whole Ian & Mandy storyline is getting slightly repetitive and annoying, although I don't want her to leave. They should have explored her relationship with her mother more.

That's a very stale view, I'm afraid. As he himself said, the whole point of a discussion thread is to share opinions. Him coming into this thread to slag off EastEnders is no different to you coming in to praise it. You have to allow for different opinions and not dismiss people because they don't agree with you.

'WATERHOG', you carry on posting all your opinions in here all you like.

How can you say that tonight's episode was dyer? I was previously a bit pissed off too when I first found out Ben was going to murder Heather, but after watching this weeks eps so far I think this storyline is amazing and full of suspense, basically classic EE. I'm happy that it's Ben! Cuz he's a psycho and it all makes sense. It wouldn't really make sense if someone else was the murderer. It fits with storyline.

if this is classic EE - you have not seen it when it was good <

Having a valid opinion

'I don't like Dot because she is being portrayed as very mean and that is unlike her character'

'I think the quality of the show has gone down because the characters are not being given realistic storylines'

Purely slagging off the show for no specified reason, the same thing over and over again, which is clearly going to grind some people's gears

'is anyone stil watching this ;lol'

'i echo you mate - sham'

'all we need now is that awful ben to go along with with the rest of the crew apart from a few - deadenders is dyer.'

'if this is classic EE - you have not seen it when it was good <'

'like EE generally - it is pathetic'

But I don't want to block out WATERHOG completely. There's nothing wrong with what he posts in other threads.

And anyway I wouldn't put anyone on ignore list cuz that's a cop out. If I got an issue with what somebody posts, I'd address it to em, but if they still continue, then oh well, life goes on.
