What about this Clare then? I think she's getting a bit too big for her boots myself, but I liked how her and Gus seemed to get on well tonight. Oh and it was nice to see Gus back in it tonight, I haven't seen him in a while.

Champagne, a candle-lit dinner and flowers are off the agenda as warring Tanya and Max Branning find a unique way to celebrate St Valentine’s Day – with a divorce hearing.

‘But this year,’ a tanked-up Tanya tells daughter Lauren, ‘Cupid is gunna take his arrows back… What yer dad did to me – us – there’s no comin’ back from that.’

With Max smarming all over Tanya in a conceited attempt to ‘start over’ again, this is a remarkably acrimonious battle that’s tearing the family apart. And Lorna Fitzgerald is astonishing as devastated little Abi trying to keep her parents together, even destroying the key piece of evidence – The Happy Couple wedding DVD seen at Christmas.

Goaded on by a smirking Max at the hearing on Thursday, Tanya can’t help lashing out at him. And on the edge of despair, she decides to leave Walford.

‘They lost the DVD. They lost the proof. And I lost my temper,’ she angrily tells the girls. ‘And your father sat there all smug and reasonable like a little ginger Buddha. Well, let’s see how reasonable he feels when his entire family have disappeared.’

Knowing that scumbag, relieved…

STACEY’s brush with death inspires her to try to win back Bradley’s heart!

She makes a last-ditch attempt to save their marriage by inviting her estranged husband on a Valentine’s Day date at a Doctor Who convention * but is it too late?

After recovering in hospital from a drink and drugs overdose, Stacey’s close call prompts her to give things another try with Bradley.

“Stacey realises she needs to fight for Bradley,” says Lacey Turner, who plays her. “After what she’s been through, she will never forgive herself if she doesn’t at least try to get Bradley back.”

As the week begins, Stacey is in hospital after mixing booze with the illegal drug liquid ecstasy and collapsing at R&R. Jean, Sean, Mo and Charlie are all frantic with worry, but Stacey is more concerned about her love life than her health.

The market trader slips out of hospital and catches a train to visit Bradley’s mum. Bradley isn’t there, but Stacey begs Rachel to give her his new address.

“It takes a while to convince Rachel,” explains Lacey. “But once she hears what Stacey has to say she sympathises with her * especially when Stacey reveals Max’s involvement in their affair.” As 14 February dawns, Bradley is stunned when Stacey turns up on his doorstep and gives him a Valentine’s card.

“It’s a brave thing for her to do,” admits Lacey. “Stacey wants the opportunity to tell Bradley how she feels.” Bradley is not happy to see his disgraced wife. He is bemused when he opens the card to find two tickets to a Doctor Who convention at St Paul’s Cathedral later that day.

Stacey begs science-fiction fan Bradley to join her at the event so they can talk things through. And she is delighted when he later turns up with a card of his own.

The pair walk past Cybermen and various Time Lord exhibits, before Stacey finally pours her heart out to her husband in the TARDIS!

“Stacey says she wishes she could turn back time,” adds Lacey. “She wants to spend the rest of her life with him.

“Bradley says he wants to see the world, so Stacey suggests they go travelling together. She just wants him back.”

At first, Bradley won’t forgive and forget. But as Stacey tries to leave, he follows and takes her in his arms. Could this be a fresh start for them?

Former EastEnders star Jill Halfpenny has revealed that she is pregnant with her first child.

The actress, 32, who played Kate Mitchell in BBC One soap, is due to give birth in May.

Halfpenny's husband, actor Craig Conway, told the Daily Mail: "I can't wait to be a dad, I'm very much looking forward to the birth of our baby, it's such an exciting time.

"We haven't asked its sex because we'll be happy either way."

After leaving EastEnders, Halfpenny went on to star in Waterloo Road, and won series two of Strictly Come Dancing in 2004.

Congratulations Jill!

Anita Dobson has branded her former EastEnders co-star Leslie Grantham a "silly boy" over his 2004 internet sex scandal.

The actress, who played Leslie's on-screen wife Angie Watts in the BBC One soap, claimed that his behaviour was "really unfortunate" and "a great pity".

Grantham, better known as Dirty Den Watts, faced controversy following his character's dramatic comeback to the Square. It was revealed that he had performed sex acts in his dressing room and sent sexual images to a 23-year-old over the internet.

"It was his own fault, wasn't it? It was a shame. It was silly and really unfortunate. He was a silly boy," Anita told the Daily Record. "It's a great pity because he has a lovely, lovely wife and three lovely children. I don't know if his marriage is together or if it's split up."

Dobson added that Grantham had wasted the "gift" that had been offered to him by EastEnders producers when he was asked to return.

"It's like Barbara Windsor. You are given this gift of this wonderful part where you, as an older actor, can settle in," she explained. "It becomes like a pension, a benevolent fund. You can tootle along and not keep putting your neck on the block."

Abi is annoyine me too I don't know why she is preferring her dad, it's all his fault.

XxShortyxX
12-02-2008, 01:37 PM
Abi is 11/12 years old who loves both her mum and dad, most kids that age are immature and don't understand, plus Max manipulates Abi, which doesn't help. The actresswho plays her is brilliant, way better then ben.

Jackie
12-02-2008, 02:37 PM
The children are always the ones that get hurt when a family member have an affair.

Callum
12-02-2008, 03:04 PM
I feel kinda' sorry for Abi. She's the only one who's genuinely upset about it all. The only reason I think she's siding with her dad is because she knows her mum's adamant on getting a divorce, however Max doesn't seem so certain and Abi just wants them to get back together again.

Jack's Flat Spoiler
Jack Branning makes another enemy in Walford this week, when he confronts Jase Dyer and hurls damning accusations at him. The cool club owner is enranged after finding his flat trashed, just hours after he sacks Jase as the R&R doorman. Suspecting that his ex-employees son, Jay, is responsible for the break in, Jacks lays into Jase for letting the boy run wild. However, the ex-con is quick to jump to the lads defence - and when Jack later finds out who's really to blame for the vandalism, hes left with egg on his face......

Ok so we know its not Jase or Jay and this is what it says for th week about Jack.

Monday: Jack discovers that someone has broken into his flat.

Tuesday: Phil is arrested on suspicion of trashing Jacks flat.

Thursday: Jack realises who was responisble for the break-in

Who do you think does it?
I think it might be Roxy or Clare

But while most of the guests see this as an opportunity to load up on cheesy-pineapple, evil Max seizes the chance to spike her drink with absinthe.

Poor Tanya goesa on to embarrass herself with some drunken dancing, before deciding to try to work her seduction skills on sexy Sean Slater.

They end up tumbling to the floor in a giggling heap - but her guests don't see the funny side.

Where will it all lead?

BRADLEY Branning pops in on Dot and is shocked to find a very curvy Clare Bates in her undies.

The blonde bad girl strips off at Dot’s to wash her clothes, unaware that Bradley is about to walk in on her.

While Bradley looks practically traumatised by his scantily-clad find, Clare happily introduces herself.

Will she wheedle her way in with Albert Square’s entrepreneur?

This isn’t the first time she’s been caught wearing very little in someone else’s house - and she’s only been back for ten days!

Ian Beale took her in, allowing her to shower and borrow one of Jane’s dresses when she appeared on the Square with nothing on – unfortunately Jane walked in while Ian was zipping her up. What’s a girl to think?

But after being handed over to Dot, you’d think she couldn’t get into too much trouble - well, think again!

Tune in to Eastenders on Monday night, BBC One to see what happens.

Bradley's back then! =D

I think it's just gunna be a dream, I heard it's gunna be screened on April Fool's Day but who knows? It could end up being real, however it does sound a bit far fetched to be true.

EASTENDERS star Lacey Turner “went down like a sack of potatoes” when a thug punched her in the head outside a club.

The stunned 19-year-old actress — love cheat Stacey Slater in the BBC soap — had to be helped to her feet, witnesses revealed last night.

Lacey had been enjoying a night out with 19-year-old co-star Aaron Sidwell, who plays Steven Beale.

But they decided to leave the Destiny club in Watford, Herts, at 2am because Lacey was fed up at being pestered by a group of men.

A witness told The Sun: “They’d been having a really good night, but you could see she wasn’t happy.

“I left at around the same time and saw her and Aaron walking across a nearby supermarket car park when the group of men approached them.

“There were a few words exchanged and suddenly one of the blokes lashed out.

“He hit her with a very powerful punch — it knocked her right to the ground. She looked really shaken up and had to be helped to her feet.

“Everyone stopped. They couldn’t believe what had happened. A couple of people helped her into a car and she went home.”

Lacey, from Radlett, Herts, was recovering last night, but was not seriously hurt. Pals said she had been “in the wrong place at the wrong time”.

One close friend insisted Lacey had not been involved in a fight, but stumbled after being “accidentally clipped” by a man outside the club.

The chum added: “Lacey walked past a fight. She was lucky not to be hurt, but was enjoying a scheduled day off yesterday. She is fine and will return to filming today.”

The star did not report the incident to cops. A police spokesman said last night: “Officers dispersed a group in a supermarket car park in Watford following a report of a fight there.”

PHIL IN NEED OF LOVE

Fans have launched an internet *campaign begging bosses to let Phil Mitchell enjoy some nookie.

They feel it is about time the Queen Vic thug had a new woman on his arm following a long list of failed relationships.

And they reckon Phil, played by Steve McFadden, 48, should settle down and finally move out of his mum’s house.

One fan, Mrs B, posted a message on fansite Walford Web, saying: “Phil Mitchell. He needs some serious lurve action.

"There he is, middle-aged, slightly pie-bound and living with his mother. It’s not on.”

She adds: “He needs a new dimension, he needs a WOMAN!”

And top of the list of Walford residents they want to see Phil with is salon boss Tanya Branning (Jo Joyner, 29).

They think the mum-of-three would be perfect for the single dad and have called on bosses to set them up together.

ROFLMAO. :laugh2:

MANEATER Clare isn’t fussy about who she pulls * as long as they’re loaded!

So the sexy blonde targets hapless, but wealthy, businessman Ian. She steals a kiss from the café owner and Ian is mesmerised by her!

Clare’s set on netting one of Walford’s richest men, so she vamps it up to lure Ian away from Jane.

“Clare knows Ian is married!” says Gemma Bissix, who plays her. “But that makes it more of a challenge.” At the start of the week, Ian has a treatment for his back at Booty.

Clare flirts outrageously with Ian while she massages him.

Clare also offers to help Ian with a catering contract and invites him to dinner at Dot’s to discuss it. Eager Ian accepts!

She plies Ian with wine, but just as she is about to make a move, Bradley stumbles in.

Clare’s plan is foiled * for now!

The next day Ian thanks Clare for helping with the catering but says he doesn’t know how to show his gratitude.

She teases: “I’m sure you’ll think of something,” and kisses him!

Clare invites Ian over to Dot’s place again. During a candlelit dinner, she tries to lead him astray. Will Ian cheat on Jane?

“Clare is a bit of a tramp!” says Gemma. “She flaunts her sexuality to get money.”

EastEnders' Charlie Slater finds himself with a sticky situation on his hands when one of his humbugs becomes attached to Yolande Trueman's rear end.

Yolande (Angela Winters) attempts to help Charlie (Derek Martin) in his weight loss programme by dragging him along to play badminton with her. Charlie, however, is cheating the diet and does his best to hide his packet of sweets which lay on the back seat of his taxi.

When the pair return hot and bothered from their shuttlecock session, Yolande's backing out of the cab when Charlie spots a humbug stuck to her posterior. Without thinking, he grabs it - and Yolande's stunned.

A Walford source told DS: "The humbug incident comes only a few days after Charlie's involved in another embarrassing moment with Peggy Mitchell. After the taxi incident with Yolande, The Vic regulars stops talking to him and he becomes the butt of all jokes as well as starting to earn himself an unsavoury reputation!"

Troubled teenager Lauren Branning causes a splash after being hauled home from school by her mum Tanya.

Lauren (Madeline Duggan, 13) starts going off the rails as her mum and dad, Max, engage in a bitter divorce battle.

And when Tanya (Jo Joyner, 29) tries to talk to Lauren about the problem, she throws it back in her face - along with her glass of water.

The Branning family was shattered after Max (Jake Wood, 34) was exposed for bedding his daughter-in-law Stacey (Lacey Turner) in a Christmas Day episode watched by 14million viewers.

An insider on the BBC soap said: "Lauren has always been such a good kid, but with the family breaking down her anger starts coming out.

"The school call to ask Tanya to come and sort it out, but Lauren isn't having any of it."

I have seen some episodes this week and it's so cheesy, the drama is so funny: the ginger guy and his wife, the 2 old persons and the blond one with her daughters.
It's more something funny than serious, well for me.

Veteran entertainer Lionel Blair has been lined up for a role in EastEnders, say reports.

The Give Us A Clue star could appear as the father of Ronnie (Samantha Janus) and Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons), claims The Sun.

He commented: "There's been some talk about me going into EastEnders as Ronnie and Roxy's dad.

"I would love that. It would also be great to link up with my great friend Babs Windsor."

Blair made a guest appearance in Emmerdale earlier this year.

Samantha Janus claimed in 2007 that she would like Ray Winstone, Terence Stamp or Malcolm McDowell to play the role of Archie Mitchell.

A show spokesperson said: "There are no current plans for Lionel to join the show."

Inside Soap Shirley Spoiler
Shirley's Hidden Trauma

There's a major heartache ahead for Albert Squares barmaid Shirley Carter, as she suffers her biggest crisis yet.
It's been a hideous year so far for the spiky blonde, who watched ex-husband Kevin Wicks die, before children Carly and Deano walked out of her life for good. However, there's further tragedy to come, leaving poor Shirley unable to confide in anyone.
"Life has always been hard for her, but this is the worst," whispers our Walford mole. "Shirley's going to have to face up to things that no one ever wants to deal with. And even her best mate, Heather Trott, won't be able to offer her the support she needs."
EastEnders is keeping the details of Shirley's problem top secret, but it seems it could be life-threatening...

I 'reckon the Beales will be the most talked about EE family in 2008.

EDIT: But does anyone think they should do more with peter and stephen? Peter is hardly ever involved in big storylines, and as for stephen, he was great at first but we hardly ever see him anymore.

steven is set to leave but why...

Steven Beale's a bye-sexual...
EASTENDERS star Aaron Sidwell is being written out of the show – as his character Steven Beale struggles with his sexuality.

Aaron, 19, will be at the centre of a huge story line as Steven cops off with both Stacey Slater AND gay newcomer Christian Clarke.

We’re not sure Dot Cotton would be too impressed.

Steven — whose evil antics haven’t exactly made him a favourite with stepmum Jane — returned to Albert Square only last September. He will be seen leaving in May.

Last night an insider at the BBC soap said: “Aaron’s contract is not being renewed but he will leave with a bang. There is a big exit story.”

And our source refused to deny that Steven may be KILLED OFF.

It soon became clear that Steven was not a happy camper after his comeback, as he stalked Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) then took him hostage.

During a struggle he accidentally shot Ian’s wife Jane (Laurie Brett) in the stomach.

After being admitted to psychiatric hospital Steven then tried to kill himself.

But Stacey (Lacey Turner) talked him out of it. The pair have now become friends and we can reveal their relationship will take another turn when they kiss.

But Steven does not want to take things any further — then he battles his feelings for Jane’s gay brother Christian (John Partridge), who has already flirted with him.

Our source added: “It’s an extremely odd love triangle.”
