The UK government and Public Health England are monitoring the so-called Delta Plus variant of coronavirus, Downing Street has said.
The prime minister's official spokesman said PHE had already put extra measures in place where the variant had been detected including "enhanced contact tracing, testing, and isolation".
Forty-one cases of the variant have been identified in the UK, he said.
Asked whether the government was concerned the UK was being taken off the equivalent of the green list of travel restrictions in other countries due to a rise in coronavirus cases, the PM's spokesman said it was a "decision fundamentally for individual countries and governments to take".
"We're working hard to use our vaccination programme and other methods to get this more transmissible variant [Delta] under control.
Delta plus has also been found in nine other countries - the US, UK, Portugal, Switzerland, Japan, Poland, Nepal, Russia and China. The original highly contagious Delta strain has now spread to 80 countries.
As i was saying earlier, we cant stop it spreading

But all will be tested.
yes, and we know very well that doesn't mean they are not infected. We have had testing of all incoming passengers for months and the variants still appeared.

the best scenario is they get 90% of adults vaccinated, that still leaves something like 5/6 million that are vulnerable to covid. So yes, its great so many are vaccinated, but the hospital numbers etc have a long way to increase when we remove all restrictions

They’re not high but they have increased over time… so they’re not flat.
To be honest though, anything under 50 isn’t beyond the scope of what you would expect with a new respiratory virus on the scene permanently - would put respiratory deaths at about 1/3 higher than they were pre-Covid.

Doesn’t sound right tbh, unless this is about last weeks figures. Normal deaths per day for flu/pneumonia in the UK would be about 90 a day, so for this to be true Covid deaths would have to be under 10/day.
Frankly if they’re saying that pneumonia deaths are at 200+ a day… they’re covering up Covid deaths in the flu/pneumonia figures :joker:… :umm2:…

Flat is flat as in static… no change… not increasing. It’s not about comparison to anything else. The numbers are LOW in comparison to other causes, but they are increasing, so there’s no way to describe them as “flat”.
I think I’m going to wait for the Delta+ Pro to be honest; it’ll probably release at around the same price and it has even faster load times.

they will have some threshold and if the increase is under that then it will be considered flat. I just think that by the time september hits, 6 weeks after restrictions have ended, there is going to be quite a raised flat

in that time 210,000 people have died in the UK of OTHER STUFF
1400 people die every day in the UK
those are weighted figures, because we know that the vaccine has stopped thousands of people being hospitalised, and that is the important figure, not the ones that are outliers and are being highlighted above

My point was that over 30% of the latest Delta deaths were fully vaccinated for over 2 weeks ...
The ‘word’ not too long ago was that being fully vaccinated equated to not getting seriously poorly and certainly not dying

I'd agree if it wasn't already out in the world, but... it is. It's already active in every country so quarantining isn't going to make any difference. I mean, it didn't even originate in the UK.
That said I think international travel in general is opening up far too early; it should be the LAST thing to return, between countries that have already got to the point of lifting all restrictions (which should be 3 weeks after the point of full vaccine roll-out completion, not some arbitrary date).

Covid: The man who tested positive for Covid 43 times
Scientists are studying the case of a man in Bristol who has recovered from 290 days being positive with SARS-CoV-2.
Dave, 72, is a driving instructor and musician who's spent the last 10 months with an active coronavirus infection, visiting hospital seven times. His immune system was vulnerable to the virus after a leukaemia diagnosis and chemotherapy treatment.
Dave was eventually treated with a new mixture of anti-viral drugs provided by the US company Regeneron on compassionate grounds.
Now scientists at the University of Bristol are studying Dave's case to try and understand how Covid acts and mutates within the body.

To be fair to Ang, given current data I'm going to request Pfizer/Moderna for booster (if there is to be one) rather than another round of AZ. Under current guidance, I wouldn't have been given AZ in the first place.
Then again a booster is different to a 1st/2nd dose scenario and is what it says it is - an immunity booster - not a "3rd dose" so I don't THINK there should be any issue in requesting a different vaccine.
i think a mix of vaccines after you have basic immunity can only be a good thing. It's not like they are competing against each other, they are augmenting your protection.
Also, Angela is anything but stupid, i would assume that german research had recommended the mix, even if its not verified research

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has warned that Europe is "on thin ice" as the Delta variant of Covid spreads on the continent.
Her warning came as EU health officials said the variant would account for 90% of the bloc's cases by late August.
The spread could disrupt plans for lifting restrictions during the summer.
The Alpha variant, first discovered in the UK, hit Europe hard early this year and Delta, now dominant in the UK, is thought 40%-60% more transmissible.
Andrea Ammon, the director of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), said on Wednesday that the spread of the Delta variant showed the importance of speeding up vaccinations in Europe, as "preliminary data shows that it can also infect individuals that have received only one dose of the currently available vaccines".
Two doses offered "high protection" against the Delta (B.1.617.2) variant, she added.
Delta, first identified in India, now accounts for almost all new infections in the UK.
On Wednesday Mrs Merkel said that, like Germany, all of the EU should quarantine arrivals from the UK considering the dangers of the spread of Delta.
The UK is not on the EU's list of safe countries, due to the spread of Delta, but that list is not binding on member states.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said that while fully vaccinating people offered "a good way forward" for resuming travel, this summer would not be "like every other. This is going to be a more difficult summer to take a holiday".

https://www.dutchnews.nl/news/2021/06/indian-nationals-in-the-netherlands-target-devasting-covid-back-home/
Indian nationals in the Netherlands are watching the spread of coronavirus back home with dread as the death toll mounts. So far at least 400,000 people have died, although the real total may be far higher, and some 50,000 new cases are being reported on a daily basis.
A cyclone in West Bengal and the upward march of a fungal infection that is attacking Covid patients are making the situation even worse.
Travel between India and the Netherlands has been put on hold for months – although flights have now been resumed since the Netherlands brought in mandatory quarantine legislation. But this and other restrictions on travel from outside the EU means many Indian nationals in the Netherlands have not seen their family for over a year.
Having had enough of watching from the sidelines as the tragedy unfolds in their home country many are now involved with fundraising activities to try to help.
Sudip Lahiri, the head of financial services Europe at HCL, says the pandemic has had a devastating effect on the lives of many Indians regardless of whether they are staying in India or residing abroad.
‘I have lost several of my colleagues in the past six months and three of them are from my own team,’ says Lahiri, who has lived in the Netherlands for the past 20 years.
‘I personally had to be on phone calls during odd hours and coordinate with my network to ensure that the impacted people find oxygen and proper medical care. This has been devastating as a human being and sometimes I felt helpless because of the massive shortage of resources to support those who have been affected.’
Registered charities
Lahiri is one of the founders of the Indo Dutch Care network, a registered charity in the Netherlands that has sent several oxygen concentrators to West Bengal via its Bengal Calling programme.
‘While this is a small step, we are excited that we could contribute and do our bit,’ he says. ‘We are now planning the 2nd phase where we will send our next shipment to support the initiatives of the West Bengal government.’
Amit Ray, another of the Indo Dutch Care founders says that he too has been affected in many ways. ‘Many people I or my wife knew personally passed away from Covid and my own elderly parents were infected and hospitalized for some time,’ he says.
‘In particular, the devastating effect the pandemic was having on the poorer sections of society was difficult to deal with,’ says Ray, a resident of the Netherlands since 1998. ‘Apart from illness and death, they were having to cope with the loss of their jobs and struggling to put food on their plates.’
Education
This, says Ray, is why the Indo Dutch Care foundation will now start collecting relief for other sectors, such as providing food for the poor or sponsoring education for children whose parents have lost their livelihoods. ‘We also hope the Dutch government will help people to not only survive the pandemic but to put their children through school.’
Prashar Ayer, a commercial group leader at Cognizant who has lived in the Netherlands for 16 years, says he remembers hearing the devastating news on April 24. ‘People were dying because they could not breathe,’ he says. Ayer tried to organise shipments of oxygen concentrators as a practical help but was caught out by the weekend and the King’s Day festivities. ‘It was a terrible weekend,’ he says. ‘Everything was closed here, and in India people were dying.’
Over the following weeks, Ayer was able to use his vast network, including the Indian community leaders, social workers, and business school colleagues, to source and send oxygen contractors back to India, firstly to NGOs, later to private organisations. ‘Whatever we could get, we sent,’ he says. ‘After all, everything was going to get used.’
Horror story
‘It was a horror story that was being played out across India. We had to do whatever we could do,’ says Ayer, whose own parents, who have been vaccinated, live in Mumbai which is still in lockdown. ‘We just had to try to do something.’ Technology consultant Pramod Agrawal has not seen his friends and family for 1.5 years and says he has lost several people in his close network.
‘I have come to realise the power of simple courtesy phone call, small financial support or activating networks to arrange for some life-saving drugs back in India,’ he told DutchNews.nl.
Agrawal, who has lived in the Netherlands for 20 years, is on the steering committee at FIDE (Foundation for Indian Diaspora in Europe) and vice president in charge of programmes at the FCCI (Foundation for Critical Choices for India), both of which are involved in getting aid, particularly oxygen and drugs, to the areas affected the most.
‘We managed to raise nearly €50,000 in less than two weeks,’ he says. ‘Members got in touch with different governmental as well as non-governmental bodies in India to identify potential hospitals where they could facilitate the shipment of oxygen concentrators from Europe.’
In total, 136 oxygen concentrators have been shipped to various states across India so far.
Food aid
‘This was indeed a very powerful example of the type of public-spirited leadership that needed to get every aid safely to the other side of the pandemic,’ he says.
In addition, the foundation has identified 1,100 families in the suburbs of the city of Bangaluru who had no income and organized a supply of grocery packets to them.’
‘It is time, not to think just about the Netherlands or India,’ he says. ‘All countries have to come together in the fight against Covid-19. We simply can’t be protected here unless the global population gets vaccinated. This is time for solidarity and to share resources.’
Entrepreneur and publisher Satarupa Bose Roy has lived in the Netherlands for some 15 years and says she is finding it hard to watch the pandemic unfold in India from afar.
‘My father had coronavirus even after his second dose of vaccine and I had to arrange everything from here,’ she says. ‘Several of my close friends here have lost their parents in India and they were not able to go. This makes me all the more sad and worried and concerned.’
Donations
In particular, she says, the situation in West Bengal has been compounded by a cyclone a month ago, which washed away thousands of homes. ‘They don’t have drinking water, no shelter, no food. If coronavirus has taught me one thing, that is solidarity… a value that stands the test of time and circumstances.’
‘We are not working for a good cause anymore, we are working because there is a real need,’ she says. ‘So I would ask people to come together, join hands with us. Donate generously. Together we can make a difference.’
People who wish to donate to the relief effort in India should do so either through the FCCI or Indo Dutch Care Network or any small grassroots organisation in India they are familiar with, Ayer says.
‘But be warned,’ he says. ‘Bureaucracy can be a challenge sending money to a good cause in India, but if you are sending a small amount to a local group it should be okay.’
Chancellor Rishi Sunak has said he expects to stop wearing a mask "as soon as possible" after it is no longer legally required in England.
He told the Times that the situation was "looking good" for an end to lockdown restrictions by 19 July.
Mr Sunak also said it was his "strong expectation" that society could then "get back to normal".
The final easing of Covid-19 restrictions is set to be reviewed over the next few weeks.
Part of this will involve deciding whether to end social distancing and the need to wear a mask in indoor public settings.
Coronavirus infection rates have increased since the last easing of restrictions in May - which saw the indoor reopening of pubs, cafes and restaurants - with the more contagious Delta variant, which originated in India, being blamed.
This delayed the planned final stage from 21 June to 19 July, subject to review.
But hospitalisations and deaths have not risen at anything like the same rate, while more than 43 million UK adults have had a first dose of Covid vaccine.
Speaking to the Times's CEO summit, Mr Sunak was asked if he expected to stop wearing a mask when it became legal not do so.
"Yes, as soon as possible," he replied. "Things are looking good for 19 July... and my strong expectation is we can lift these major restrictions then and get back to normal."
Earlier, Environment Secretary George Eustice said the "plan" was to remove the legal requirements for mask wearing on that date.
He told Sky News that there were "some people who might choose to wear masks or whether it may be advisory in some settings", adding: "That's a separate matter."
But tourism minister Nigel Huddleston said he "wouldn't be surprised" if he kept wearing a mask on the London underground after restrictions end.
Speaking to BBC Radio Sussex, he said: "No matter what happens in terms of legal requirements, some people will want to be cautious."
Face coverings - when worn over the nose and mouth - reduce the spread of coronavirus droplets from coughs, sneezes and speaking.
They currently have to be worn on public transport across the UK, unless people have a medical exemption.
Wearing coverings in shops was made compulsory in England last July.
They same thing happened in Scotland a few days earlier, with Northern Ireland following suit in August and Wales in September.

I'm failing to see how Boris claims that things are looking hopeful for July, when the numbers are now consistently rising.
the numbers are all BS and have been for ages
the media need to stop publishing daily figures, identify hotspots and leave it at that. Everyone is rightly a bit apprehensive but we have to get life back to normal as much as we can. I still think its sensible to maintain distance where possible. We are going to have to get used to daily covid deaths, they are not going to go away any time soon and the same as any other virus we need to learn to live with it

I'm failing to see how Boris claims that things are looking hopeful for July, when the numbers are now consistently rising.
I think it’s moreso he wants to give as much protection as possible to the public, the extra 4 weeks means all adults could have had a dose and 75% of adults will have had two doses.
There’s not more they can do to prevent hospitilisations and deaths - being vaccinated means there is less than 0.01% chance of dying from covid, the survival rate is extremely high if vaccinated - with 65m people in the population though that means numbers will rise as restrictions end - but he’s protected the vulnerable by giving them their two doses saving people who would have otherwise have died

Indeed - essentially we now know, more or less for a fact, that it is not going to be possible to eliminate Covid with lockdowns and restrictions. Ever. It’s airborne, it’s too easily transmissible, and it just doesn’t work…
That leaves two options;
1) get to the point where everyone is as safe as possible, open up, and accept that it’s here to stay.
2) stay on lockdown literally forever.
There’s no option where we stay in lockdown longer and the situation improves. It will never improve. It’s going to be what it is when we reopen.

Emergency departments across the UK are seeing record numbers of young children - but most have a mild fever that could be treated at home, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health says.
Winter viruses are flourishing as more people mix, and a doctor's chief says many A&Es are being "overwhelmed".
Experts say any infections are unlikely to be serious and GPs, pharmacies or NHS 111 should be the first option.
But A&E remains an option if parents are still concerned or in an emergency.
Always seek medical advice if your baby or child:
is under three months old and has a temperature of 38C (100F) or higher
is three to six months old and has a temperature of 39C (102F) or higher
has a fever lasting for more than five days, or is becoming more unwell
is not drinking well or is dehydrated with fewer than two wet nappies a day
develops a red rash that doesn't fade when a glass is rolled over it
has a fit or convulsion
is crying constantly, or it doesn't sound like their normal cry
The warning from doctors comes after the RCPCH collated data and the views of paediatricians in emergency departments across the UK.
It found children coming to A&E are mostly under the age of five - but they do not have coronavirus.
In most cases, their fevers, coughs and runny noses are caused by other respiratory infections such as RSV, bronchiolitis, the common cold and paraflu.
After disappearing last winter during lockdown when no-one was mixing in large numbers, these viruses have reappeared in the summer - but at winter levels, putting huge pressure on emergency departments in hospitals.
For most youngsters, treatment with children's paracetamol or ibuprofen will make them feel better after a few days.

Still haven't had the result back yet. I have a feeling it'll say negative. But this has been one of the worst colds I have ever had its wiped me out. My wife calls it man flu :fist:
i think when they reduce the quarantine requirements for the fully vaccinated, it will settle down. That's the key. At the moment any of these countries can be banged on to the amber list at a moments notice which messes everyone up.
I still wouldn't risk going abroad until that's sorted

I don't mind waiting for it. Better be on the safe side.
people seem to be confused. The criteria previously stated for removing restrictions have gone out of the window. The criteria now is giving every adult the opportunity to be vaccinated, which happened last week, so lockdown will end in july

I still feel that the "unlock date" should be when everyone who wants it has actually HAD both doses - ideally would be 21 days after that... though I think the point where everyone is 2x dosed is a decent compromise.
However they want to be open before we head back into winter, for economic reasons... which I understand, but I think it's far from optimal.

People are "jumpy" with Covid I think and taking extra precautions needlessly. But yeah there's absolutely no reason to take kids to A&E for something like a temp... kids will pop a fever with relatively mild illnesses (where an adult wouldn't even have a raised temp). It's totally normal. Stick some calpol in 'em and plonk them on the couch with Disney+ for a couple of days.

[Delta variant 'spreading freely

The first minister of Wales has warned of a

Mark Drakeford said it is "spreading freely

There were just under 500 confirmed cases
of the variant in the country last Friday.
But this has now more than doubled to
around 1,100 cases,
he told a press conference in Cardiff.
He said the incidence rate of coronavirus

in North Wales, where four of the six local
authority areas have rates higher than
50 cases per 100,000 people.

said: "As many as 97% of new cases
of coronavirus in North Wales are
caused by the Delta variant.
"The very latest information I have
is that 15 people have been admitted to hospital

He claimed Wales was "two to three weeks

Netherlands: discoteque's, night clubs reopened again as of midnight now
and immediately lots of youth who were waiting in line for their test result certificates
either negative pcr test, or vaccination proof or proof of having recently recovered of covid, and then you don't need to socially distance
today also no longer face mask compulsory in stores, supermarkets
only places where face masks remain compulsory are public transport, airports, and in hallways of the schools

Australia are a good example of why banning visitors doesn't matter. They have among the strictest travel controls and they are now experiencing multiple delta hot spots. Countries can slow the spread down, but they cant stop new variants arriving, it's inevitable

Delta variant infected every single person

Some 24 out of 30 attendees have become
infected with COVID-19 at a birthday party
in Sydney, Australia, which is being described
as a "superspreader" event.
Those who did not become infected were
six health workers who had been fully vaccinated

"To emphasise just how important vaccinations
are … not one of those 24 people were vaccinated,"
said New South Wales health minister Brad Hazzard.
He continued: "Obviously, it's an unfolding
situation… but the early and strong indication
from that party are if you're vaccinated you
are much more likely to not be infected with COVID-19.
"Short message is, get vaccinated."]

Sobyanin notes the Delta variant is a serious threat to the capital: "Once again, we are dealing with a new and more contagious strain, a very deadly one. I ask everyone to take care of themselves and get vaccinated at the first opportunity."
In a recent interview with state Rossiya 1 TV, the mayor says because of the Delta strain, the capital is "experiencing the pandemic anew, and the epidemic is in fact raging in Moscow".

Those case fatality ratio stats bear no resemblance to our own - I'd suggest that Russia has a LOT more mild daily cases than are being confirmed by test. Like... 10x more.

There is even better news with deaths. Latest estimates show fewer than one in 1,000 infections is leading to a death. At the peak of the winter wave it was one in 60.
This has dramatically altered what can be considered a proportionate response to the virus - and is why a further loosening of restrictions remains on the cards.

I think a true fatality rate of around 0.7 - 0.8% was estimated early on and the stats held pretty strong on that throughout the pandemic up until vaccination (not to be confused with case fatality rate, which is deaths per IDENTIFIED case, not deaths per estimated true number of cases). If it's true that this is now at less than 0.1% then vaccination has been a massive success.

Netherlands todays numbers
309 total hospitalisations a decrease of 22 compared to yesterdays figures
127 total ICU/ventilator patients a decrease of 15 compared to yesterdays figures also for the first time since half October no new ICU/ventilator patients today
again no new deaths
so far so good, the new cases figures will come bit later on
summary of last week, number of positive tests has decreased with 26%, the R number still well below 1, so the epidemic is decreasing as for severity of infection rate
number of reported infections throughout last week 4.200, same amount as May 21st (which was that number on 1 day alone)
RIVM estimates as of June 21st 17.000 people are contagious, compared to 26.000 the week before
the number of hospitalisations decreased over half in one week, same goes for ICU/ventilators (which even better had also recorded 0 new patients today)

This is madness .......
Foreign business leaders will no longer need to quarantine when arriving in England if their trip is likely to have a significant economic benefit to the UK, the government has announced.
The exemption will be for arrivals from amber-list countries, and only given in exceptional circumstances, the Department for Business (BEIS) said.
Some business groups and MPs expressed anger as it excludes smaller companies.
But BEIS said it would balance economic interests with public safety.
Some critics said it should include all business travel and key workers. Labour's Angela Rayner and Manchester's Labour Mayor, Andy Burnham, said it smacked of one rule for the rich and one for the rest.
Craig Beaumont, for the Federation of Small Business, said: "Small business owners and the self-employed often travel for their business, and it is wrong to declare this activity as of no significant economic benefit - and so outside of the government's plans.
"There should not be a fast lane of easements for big business while small firms are left behind."
Tej Parikh, chief economist at the Institute of Directors, said: "Medium-sized enterprises will be the powerhouses of our economic recovery, so initiatives that effectively lower quarantine requirements for executives in large businesses seem arbitrary."
Mr Parikh stressed that it was "vital that the government does not overlook the crucial importance of helping SME business leaders getting back up and running by focusing purely on multinationals".
UKHospitality chief executive Kate Nicholls agreed, telling the BBC this exemption needed to be "expanded for broader business travel, including hospitality workers abroad who are currently unable to return to the UK due to the cost and hassle of current quarantine requirements".

Greater Manchester's Covid death rate has been 25% higher than the rest of England during the pandemic, new research has found.
The study into the impact of the virus in the region also said life expectancy in north-west England declined more during 2020 than in England overall.
The report says health inequalities in Greater Manchester have been exposed and amplified by the pandemic.
It calls for more resources directed at education, employment and housing.

For now I'm taking my holidays here in the UK.
There are some amazing places I want to go to.
It calls for more resources directed at education, employment and housing.
... and some in here wonder why I worry so much !!

I mean not to be harsh but unless you’re in the demographic affected by those health inequalities (low income, often minority groups) then your risk of death isn’t higher than anywhere else in the country. It’s basically just highlighted that there were already major social inequalities in some areas. But I think really people already knew that… it’s just shone a spotlight on them.

True enough.. but our BL postcode area has been around the top of the infections chart for a very long time now ..

France 'heading for fourth wave'

France heading towards fourth wave
of coronavirus, says expert
As Delta cases continue to rise,
the French government's leading
scientific adviser Professor Jean-Francois Delfraissy
has said there may be another resurgence in infections.
Medical experts in France fear a new wave could
hit the country by September or October as
pressure rises for the government to
impose tougher restrictions.
However, ministers are hoping the vaccination
programme should limit the impact of a fourth wave.
"I think we will have a fourth wave,
but it will be much more moderate than
the previous three waves because the
level of vaccinations is different
compared to before,"
Professor Delfraissy told France Info radio.]

Any idea why they’re going to lift all the restrictions in schools the week BEFORE they break up for summer holidays??
Seems a bit like putting petrol on the fire given how it’s currently travelling through our schools with the masks and restrictions currently in place

That's because of the football :fist:
i don't mind infections rising high before we ease restrictions, it gives us a better idea of how protective the vaccine can be or not against hospitalisation before we do the final easing of restrictions. At this point, the higher the number the better

And at the same time refused entry to scotland to the north west of england, she could have gone further than advise, but she sat back forgetting that her nations health is her main priority during this pandemic, a phrase she has used time and time again to avoid questions.

Britain should stop publishing daily figures on Covid-19 case rates because the virus is now a “long way from being an important cause” of death, a vaccine advisor has said.
Prof Robert Dingwall, a member of the UK Government’s Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation, urged people to stop panicking about the current rising infection levels, which may only be reflecting a “last wave of mild infections” among unvaccinated youths.
It is well past time to panic about infection rates and to publish them obsessively. Even hospitalisation rates are increasingly misleading as better therapy reduces length of stay. Covid is now a long way from being an important cause of mortality,” the Nervtag scientist tweeted.
He joins a growing number of MPs and leading scientists, including Prof Tim Spector, of King’s College London, warning the daily slew of Covid statistics are terrifying people and they lack any context, such as figures on flu, heart disease and cancer.
Daily Telegraph
yeah ive been saying for a while we should stop publishing daily figures. Show where there are hotspots so people are aware, but that should be the end of it. The media are prolonging uncertainty and feeding panic
Scarlett.

Yeah, were at the point that, unless a new variant comes along, we're kinda safe now
Kids are experiencing long covid symptoms.
We've only had this thing coming on 2 years now and everyone thinks its conquered, its far from it, we are still at a very early vaccination situation, and still blind to what that entails in the way forward.
Can we vaccinate our children, if not is it safe to allow them to run the risk on a daily basis of catching covid over and over again...is the vaccine safe for infants? Is it safe to allow our infants to come into contact with us over and over again as we unwittingly carry the virus, hidden by our vaccinated bodies?
